Meghan Markle Has Some Seriously Strict Rules To Follow Now That She"s A Duchess!

Meghan Markle may've had the freedom to take selfies and sign autographs, but the newly minted Duchess of Sussex does not! As you surely know, on Saturday, the American actress officially became a member of the royal family thanks to her wedding to Prince Harry. Understandably, this means that Meghan's life has since drastically changed. Related: Harry [...] Meghan Markle may've had the freedom to take selfies and sign autographs, but the newly minted Duchess of Sussex does not! As you surely know, on Saturday, the American actress officially became a member of the royal family thanks to her wedding to Prince Harry. Understandably, this means that Meghan's life has since drastically changed. Related: Harry & Meghan Will Visit Thomas Markle In Mexico! In fact, there are all sorts of royal rules Miz Markle is now required to follow as a member of the Windsor family. We're being completely serious. Not only is Meghan's style now dictated by royal decree, but also the way she walks and talks. For a breakdown of all the royal restrictions, be sure to proceed (below)... 1. Under no circumstance is Meghan to take a selfie. It's said that the 36-year-old Duchess once told a fan that she and Harry are "not allowed to do selfies." Apparently, this rule is meant to encourage commoners to make eye contact and conversation with the royals. 2. As selfies are a no-no, so is personal social media usage. As you surely know, all news regarding Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton comes from the Kensington Royal Twitter and Instagram pages. Thus, ahead of her marriage into the family, Markle had her IG and lifestyle blog go dark. 3. Meghan is to keep her signature to herself. NO AUTOGRAPHS! In order to prevent forgery, the Suits alum is not allowed to sign any autographs. 4. Dark and/or colored nail polish is prohibited. This explains why Meghan wore Essie's Ballet Slippers pink polish at the wedding. Oh, and it's also Queen Elizabeth's favorite color. 5. Royals must ALWAYS travel with mourning clothes. This rule was instated after the then Princess Elizabeth and husband Prince Philip were blindsided by King George VI's death while abroad in Africa. The twosome were forced to travel from Africa to the United Kingdom in regular clothes. Nowadays, royals must always have a set of funeral clothes packed in order to be respectful. 6. No matter what occasion, female family members must always curtsy to the Queen. At official events, Meghan is also expected to curtsy to anyone who outranks her. 7. Short hemlines are a no-go! It's believed that the Queen disapproves of skirts that are more than an inch or two above the knee. So Meghan better toss out those tiny red carpet numbers from her Hollywood days. 8. Speaking of Hollywood, Meghan seemingly can no longer pursue an acting career. She represents the British people now, so she has an image to uphold (and we doubt an acting gig in Tinseltown will help with that). 9. Meghan is discouraged from voting in British elections. Although UK Parliament says that it's not against the law in Britain for royalty to vote, it's viewed to be unconstitutional. 10. Markle can no longer cross her legs -- in public, at least. She'll be expected to perfect the "Duchess Slant" made famous by Princess Diana and proudly carried on by the Duchess of Cambridge. 11. Meghan will have to throw away her wedges, as the Queen despises them! 12. Assigned seating for life! At any royal family gathering, Meghan will always be expected to sit next to husband Harry. 13. Dinnertime is at 8:30 pm! When dining with Harry's monarch grandmother, Meghan will have to be ready at 8:30 pm to eat. The meal will last no later than 10 pm. 14. Also, Meghan isn't allowed to eat before OR after the Queen. Guests dining with the Queen can't start eating until the monarch begins chowing down. However, once she is done, so is the rest of the dinner table. 15. Meghan can't just walk into a royal room. During family functions, there's a strict entrance line, which is as follows: Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Duchess Camila, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and then most likely, Harry and Meghan. 16. If the Queen's awake, so is Meghan! If Meghan crashes with Queen Elizabeth at all, she is required to stay up until the longtime royal falls asleep. 17. Monopoly has been banned! Supposedly, the Duke of York Prince Andrew previously revealed that the royals are "not allowed to play Monopoly at home," as "it gets too vicious." 18. In order to avoid food poisoning, Meghan can no longer enjoy shellfish. Now, not EVERYONE in the royal family adheres to this rule, but the Queen still does!! Man, oh man. We hope Meghan has this list memorized!! We're wishing her only the best as she embarks on her new royal life! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Royal Shade!! Queen Elizabeth II Reportedly Called Camilla Parker Bowles A "Wicked Woman" — After "Several Martinis"!

All families have drama, even the royal ones! And thanks to Tom Bower's new biography, Rebel Prince: The Power and Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, fans are getting some insider deets about the longstanding beef between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles' second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. Related: Harry & Meghan Are Having A Spring-Themed Wedding [...] All families have drama, even the royal ones! And thanks to Tom Bower's new biography, Rebel Prince: The Power and Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, fans are getting some insider deets about the longstanding beef between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles' second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. Related: Harry & Meghan Are Having A Spring-Themed Wedding Cake! In case you forgot, Prince William's poppa carried on a lengthy affair with Camilla while married to the now late Princess Diana. Understandably, this fact made the British monarch disapprove of Parker Bowles, especially when Charles wanted to marry her following his ex wife's death. According to an excerpt from the book, which was shared by Dailymail.com on Tuesday, the Prince of Wales asked his royal mother about welcoming Camilla into the royal family during the summer of 1998. Apparently, the queen uttered a pretty harsh response... Per Bower, the Windsor matriarch had drunk "several martinis, and to Charles's surprise she replied forcefully: She would not condone his adultery, nor forgive Camilla for not leaving Charles alone to allow his marriage to recover." DAMNNNN. Oh, and the queen didn't stop there, as she went on to call Camilla "that wicked woman" and informed Charles that she wanted "nothing to do with her." In response to his mother's shade, Charles "tearfully" called his girlfriend and informed her of the royal family hate. Although Charles had aunt Princess Margaret's support during this time, the queen would not budge on her stance. It wasn't until the queen's mother died that Elizabeth softened at the idea of making Camilla a member of their family. By 2005, the twosome had secured the queen's blessing and finally wed. Of course, since both Charles and Camilla's first marriages failed due to their liaison, they were not permitted to marry in the Church of England. Instead, the pair married at Windsor Town Hall and received a blessing at St. George's Chapel. Nonetheless, the now Duchess of Cornwall was left on the outside until her wedding day. Related: Meghan Was Kidnapped As Part Of Her Royal Training! Unlike Meghan Markle, who has been invited to all sorts of official outings, Camilla wasn't asked to attend ceremonies or dinners prior to the nuptials. Bower also claims Elizabeth "even hinted that there was very little special Welsh gold left to make Camilla's wedding ring." Reportedly, the queen also stopped Charles' close aide from planning a lavish reception. The book states Charles wallowed "in gloom" while discussing his mother's lack of an abdication plan. When asked if the monarch would EVER step down, the father of two is said to have answered: "Can you imagine her looking out of the window of Clarence House and waving to me as I paraded in a carriage down The Mall?" Yikes. Thankfully, the feud has lightened over the years, with Elizabeth and Camilla even spending time together at official events. The queen's stance on marriage has changed quite a bit, too!! We know this to be true, as QEII couldn't be more fond of Prince Harry's American divorcée love -- and is letting them wed in the Church of England. All we can say is, PHEW!! It looks like Duchess Meghan was momentarily confused if royal protocol suggests she should enter the car first, or allow the Queen to enter first! The press secretary provided an update on Friday (May 4). PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Meghan Markle “We are now just over two weeks away from the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle. As they have travelled around the UK in the months since their engagement last November, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have been incredibly grateful for the support they have received from members of the public,” the update reads. “The crowds that have turned out in Nottingham, Cardiff, Brixton, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Belfast, Bath and elsewhere have given Ms. Markle a welcome to the United Kingdom marked by warmth, enthusiasm, and a real sense of fun.” Read the full outline inside… We are now just over two weeks away from the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle. As they have travelled around the UK in the months since their engagement last November, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have been incredibly grateful for the support they have received from members of the public. The crowds that have turned out in Nottingham, Cardiff, Brixton, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Belfast, Bath and elsewhere have given Ms. Markle a welcome to the United Kingdom marked by warmth, enthusiasm, and a real sense of fun. We said from the outset that Prince Harry and Ms. Markle were keen to make sure that members of the public would have the opportunity to feel part of the celebrations on their wedding day. This is their way of expressing their gratitude for the messages of support they have received from around the UK, the Commonwealth, Ms. Markle’s home country of the United States, and right around the world. In today’s briefing I want to share more details of what people can expect to see in the day’s leading up to the wedding, and on the day itself, and explain what the public can expect in Windsor. The first thing I would like to share is that Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are very much looking forward to welcoming Ms. Markle’s parents to Windsor for the wedding. Mr. Thomas Markle and Ms. Doria Ragland will be arriving in the UK in the week of the wedding, allowing time for Prince Harry’s family, including The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to spend time with them before the big day. Both of the bride’s parents will have important roles in the wedding. On the morning of the wedding, Ms. Ragland will travel with Ms. Markle by car to Windsor Castle. Mr. Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle of St George’s Chapel. Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion. In addition to having the support of The Queen, his father The Prince of Wales, and his brother Prince William as Best Man, Prince Harry is also keen to involve his mother’s family in his wedding. All three siblings of Diana, Princess of Wales will be in attendance and Lady Jane Fellowes will give the reading. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day. As we said back in November, this wedding will be guided by tradition, allowing everyone to celebrate what makes Royal Weddings so special, but also one which reflects the personalities of Prince Harry and Ms. Markle. We have been announcing details over the last couple of months and in the final week ahead of the wedding you can expect to hear more about the arrangements, including: The Instrument of Consent; Details of the Bridesmaids and Page Boys; The work of florist Philippa Craddock and the Crown Estate gardeners who have been growing and preparing the flowers that will fill the church; An update from Claire Ptak, the baker who will make the wedding cake, and the chefs who have been working in the Palace kitchens to make the final preparations and; We will publish the full Order of Service on the website on Saturday morning so members of the public can follow the service at home. I will now take you through the high level outline of what you can expect to see from the evening of Friday 18th May. The key moment for the day before will be the arrival of the bride at her accommodation. We expect this to happen early evening. On the day itself we expect Windsor to be very busy. The council has worked with partners including Thames Valley Police to plan what will be a fantastic day of celebrations. As the Royal Borough of Windsor has said, work is well underway to ensure the occasion is a memorable and joyous one for all involved and they are working closely with a wide range of partners. Rail operators will be putting on extra trains and there will be park and walk and park and float services to help people get into town. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and book all travel arrangements early so they can make the most of their trip. I would very much appreciate the media’s assistance in spreading the message that visitors to Windsor will have a chance to be part of a very special day, but those who will be heading to the town really do need to plan their journeys carefully. The Royal Borough has confirmed that preparations include: A 6,000 space pre-booked car parking area at the Review Ground, just off the Long Walk; Food stalls and facilities, including big screens showing live footage of the wedding and Procession, on the Long Walk and in Alexandra Gardens; Viewing areas along the whole Procession Route (Castle Hill, High Street, Sheet Street, Kings Road, Albert Road and the Long Walk); A team of 140 Royal Borough Ambassadors have volunteered to help steward the event and assist visitors throughout the day; The town centre will be decorated with bunting and ceremonial banners along parts of the Procession Route and; Live entertainment from local groups throughout the town centre. In order to make sure everyone can get through expected traffic, the members of the public who have been invited to be inside the grounds of Windsor Castle for the wedding will be arriving from around 0900hrs. As a reminder, 1,200 people have been nominated by Lord Lieutenants from across the country for their work supporting their communities. Many of these people are sharing their stories with their local media and supporters – the couple are very pleased that their wedding has provided a platform to celebrate the inspiring work of community and youth leaders from around the UK. The first thing these people gathered will see on the morning of the wedding will be the arrival of guests between 0930hrs and 1100hrs. Guests will be arriving at the Round Tower by coach and will be seen walking to the South Door of St George’s Chapel. Members of The Royal Family will begin to arrive from 1120hrs, and enter St George’s Chapel via the Galilee Porch. Some will be on foot, and others will arrive by car. Prince Harry and his brother The Duke of Cambridge will arrive at St George’s Chapel most likely by foot and will enter via the West Steps. This will allow Their Royal Highnesses to acknowledge all of the people gathered in the Castle precincts, including the 200 charity representatives gathered in the Horseshoe Cloister at the bottom of the steps. Also around the time Royal Family arrivals begin, a pooled media facility will cover Ms. Markle and Ms. Ragland’s departure from the bride’s overnight location. We expect the journey into the Castle to take them along part of the Long Walk, allowing members of the public gathered there to see the car as it passes. There will also be a brief stop at the Castle where Ms. Ragland will head onto the Chapel and Ms. Markle will be joined by some of the Bridesmaids and Page Boys before she continues her journey to the church, where she will enter via the West Steps. The Service will take around an hour, and we look forward to announcing more details of this in the weeks ahead. After the Service has concluded, the newly married couple will process out of the church and acknowledge the 200 representatives of Prince Harry’s charities gathered in the Cloister. The couple are delighted that these people who will be such an important part of their official work in the years to come will be the first people they see after their wedding. As the couple step into their Carriage, close family members will gather on the West Steps to wave them off on their Procession. As a reminder, we expect the Carriage Procession to take just under 25 minutes. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are very much looking forward to this part of the day. It will be their chance to express their gratitude for the goodwill and warm wishes they have received from all quarters in the months since their engagement. Members of the congregation will file out of the church onto the grass to see the start of the Procession before walking to the reception at St George’s Hall. All guests will be attending the reception. The public elements of the event will be over at this stage. The final thing you can expect to see is the Bride and Groom departing Windsor Castle for the evening reception at Frogmore House. In the days that follow, we will facilitate interviews with some of those who have been involved in the wedding, as happened in 2011, for example with the hairdresser and dressmaker. The formal photographs, which will be taken by Alexi Lubomirski, will be released during the week......»»

Her recently unearthed posts from lifestyle blog The Tig reveal the actress loved writing about her everyday mundanities. But apparently, the soon-to-be royal-in-law may have ran another SECRET blog where she showed a much racier side of herself! Titled The Working Actress, the now defunct (and deleted) blog chronicles the trials and tribulations of an actress (*COUGH* Meghan Markle? *COUGH*) trying to make it in Hollywood. Related: Harry & Meghan's Anthrax Scare Being Investigated! The author's posts detail working with "tough directors," "bitchy" acting rivals, and tough days that end with her "sobbing in bed with a bottle of wine and a box of cookies." The Working Actress first appeared in 2010, and quickly became a must read for aspiring actors. The author refused to reveal her identity, even after mainstream news channels started hitting her up for interviews, as dishing precious showbiz secrets would likely end in career suicide. In one entry, the struggling actress penned: "I've had to freeze my [acting] union membership, borrow money, work jobs that I hated, endure being treated like shit on a set, kiss actors with smelly breath and cry for hours on end because I just didn't think I could take it any more." Even after the author landed a steady gig (a supporting role on a USA legal drama, perhaps?), she continued to write about life on red carpets and embracing being a total sell out. Related: EVERYTHING We Know About Harry & Meghan's Royal Wedding! In a later entry, she unapologetically gloated: "They roll out the red carpet in a major way because they want me (‘the talent' as they call us . . . ) to show up looking and presenting in the best possible manner… This is the ultimate "dance monkey, dance". Now let me say this — as much as some people might hear this description and feel nauseated by it (that inner monologue of "but I am an artiste") I say this to you, dear friend: Get over yourself. This is part of the job, and it's fucking awesome. It's fancy and it's cool, and it's the business of what it takes to make it in this business. If you are pursuing television, then realise that you have already sold out, and take your big fancy paycheck to produce your "artiste"-driven plays on hiatus [in between TV roles]. Because you can now. Because flashing those pearly whites (ahem, veneers) and working the red carpet with your sexy little body (ahem, Spanx) is part of the job description you jumped on board for when you were lucky enough to sign on the dotted line that day you were testing [auditioning]. This is what we call a high-class problem. And compared with the problems of what feels like many moons ago (not having money to fill up my gas tank, Scotch-taping my headshots and CVs [to audition applications] because I ran out of staples, crying because I couldn't get a call back, or even an audition — when I knew in my core that I was the best possible one for the part), I will take this any day." The final post of The Working Actress was written in the summer of 2012, in which the author signed off without an explanation or farewell to her readers. Related: Lifetime Finds Prince William & Kate Middleton For A Royal Romance! Insiders say this was right around the time Suits was taking off, prompting Markle to focus on her less gossipy lifestyle blog. Sources explained to DailyMail.com: "The ‘Working Actress' persona was like a therapy for her. It allowed her to lay bare her struggles and also call out to some industry people while remaining anonymous. She really wrote it in her own voice. But once her career took off and her lifestyle blog (The Tig) started doing well, she stopped writing this one. That was the platform she truly wanted. She no longer wanted to be known as the ‘struggling actress'." The insider believes this blog may have highlighted aspects of Markle she wants to keep hidden in the shadows, adding: "I think this shows a side of Meghan people might not expect. It is not the image she likes to portray. She stopped writing long ago, but I'm not sure when the pages were deleted. Maybe she was worried about being outed. It definitely doesn't fit the image of a royal." Queen Elizabeth II certainly would not approve. (Don't worry, Meg, we won't tell!) Markle may not be a working actress anymore, but we think it's safe to say she booked the role of a lifetime. [Image via Instagram.].....»»

Prince Harry Brought Meghan Markle To Buckingham Palace For Some Quality Time With Queen Elizabeth!

On Wednesday, it was reported that Prince Harry brought Meghan Markle to Buckingham Palace last week for a two-on-one visit with Queen Elizabeth. Ooh, go on!! QUIZ: Are You A Royal Family Expert?? According to Daily Mail, the love birds stopped by the British sovereign's London palace for a private tea with the Queen. It's said the twosome, who have been dating for at least 15 months, arrived at the royal residence in a Ford Galaxy station wagon with blacked out windows. Clearly, Meghan and Harry are trying to keep a low profile. Per the report's columnist Richard Kay, upon their arrival, Meghan and Harry were "whisked up to the Queen's private sitting room" for an hour visit. That's some serious face time, girl!! Although, there are reports that claim Elizabeth and Meghan met during a visit earlier this year to Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Later in the evening, Harry performed some royal duties as he accepted a posthumous award on behalf of his late mother, Princess Diana. The prize at the Attitude magazine awards was to commemorate the late princess' HIV/AIDS activism. We're sure Harry's mother would be so proud of everything he's accomplished -- especially his mature relationship with Meghan. Now, obviously, there's major significance to the Suits actress' sit down with the Queen. Currently, Harry is fifth in line to the throne, which means he needs the Queen's permission to tie the knot. The ginger prince will be pushed to sixth in line when Kate Middleton gives birth to her third child with Prince William! Regardless, locking in his grandmother's approval isn't expected to be a problem, as the Queen simply "adores" Harry. One insider previously noted: "If Harry asks for something, she would say yes as she adores him." All signs are pointing to an engagement as, in addition to this visit, Harry and Meghan made their public debut as a couple last month at the Invictus Games in Toronto. At the event, Harry spent some SERIOUS quality time with Markle's momma, Doria. Not to mention, spokespeople for Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace both declined to comment on the report. Now, isn't that VERY suspicious??? Honestly, we're just SO ready for these two to be engaged already!!! [Image via Euan Cherry/WENN.].....»»

A Technical Glitch On The Royal Family"s Website May"ve Spoiled Prince William & Kate Middleton"s Baby Name Reveal!

Did a technical glitch just spoil the royal baby name reveal?? However, it seems that the royal family's website may've inadvertently revealed the news. Related: Twitter Praises Kate's Post [...] Did a technical glitch just spoil the royal baby name reveal?? As you surely know, Prince William and Kate Middleton have stayed shockingly tight lipped about their third little one's moniker, following the young prince's birth on April 23. However, it seems that the royal family's website may've inadvertently revealed the news. Related: Twitter Praises Kate's Post Baby Glow! Apparently, there are designated pages for each of the prominent members of the Windsor clan. Viewers of the site can access these pages by typing in a name separated by dashes following the main site's URL -- royal.uk.! Now, if you type in Prince George and Princess Charlotte's names, you'll come across an "access denied" screen. So, why is this important??? Well, this error may've proven that William and Kate have named their youngest... Albert! It's said that if you type in royal.uk/prince-albert, you'll witness an "access denied" screen pop up. If you try this link with a different name, such as other frontrunner Prince Arthur, you get a "Page Not Found" screen. Don't believe us?? Find the telling evidence for yourself (below)! The Prince Albert link: The Prince Arthur link: We can't say we're surprised that Albert is likely the little one's name. For starters, British bookmakers have listed the moniker with 5-1 odds while taking bets. Not to mention, Albert has been a prominent name in the royal family for some time. Most notably, Albert was the beloved husband of Queen Victoria -- thus it's popped up among several of the full names of her distinguished descendants. Queen Elizabeth's father's birth name was Albert, until he took the royal name King George VI upon his brother's abdication. Both Prince Andrew and Prince Harry have Albert as one of their middle names. You see?? It seems right that a baby Bertie joins the royals at Kensington Palace. (FUN FACT: Queen Victoria was raised at Kensington Palace. The pieces are all coming together!) Nonetheless, we won't know the royal tot's name until the palace makes an official announcement! Stay tuned!! [Image via WENN.].....»»

According to royal sources in news reports coming out on Sunday, Queen Elizabeth is preparing to abdicate the throne in the coming years to make way for Prince Charles as King. Related: Prince Charles Got Caught Having Phone Sex... The Queen is, of course, 92 years old right now -- and even tough she's in generally good health, it's said that she has told her inner circle of plans to hang up her crown at the age of 95, and pass on the role to Prince Charles. Robert Jobson, the royal commentator for the Daily Mail, had this to say about the early plans being made for the move (below): "I have spoken to a number of high-ranking courtiers who made it clear that preparations for a transition are moving ahead at pace. They have all confirmed that a Regency with Charles taking the lead is now, at the very least, a real possibility." Wow. That's a big move! Photos: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Love Story! One senior former member of the Royal Household also added more information about the Queen and her apparent decision to wind things down in her rule (below): "Out of the profound respect the Queen holds for the institution of monarchy and its stewardship, Her Majesty would want to make sure that she has done everything she can for her country and her people before she hands over. She is dutiful to her core. ... Her Majesty is mindful of her age and wants to make sure when the time comes, the transition of the Crown is seamless. I understand the Queen has given the matter considerable thought and believes that, if she is still alive at 95, she will seriously consider passing the reign to Charles." Impressive! What do U think, Perezcious readers?! Big deal, or what??? Let us know your thoughts in the comments (below)!!! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Meghan Markle Is Slated To Spend Some MAJOR Quality Time With Prince George & Princess Charlotte On Christmas Day!

As we previously reported, Prince Harry and his fiancée are expected to stay with Prince William and Kate Middleton at Anmer Hall over the holidays. This will make it so the engaged couple can spend some quality time with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as, enjoy the holiday festivities that Queen Elizabeth is hosting at her Sandringham estate. Related: William & Kate Release Their 2017 Christmas Card! Apparently, the love birds are eager to see Will and Kate's kiddos, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, open their stockings on Christmas morning. Hmmm, do we smell baby fever??? WE TEASE. The Suits actress and the ginger royal are also expected to attend Wednesday's pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. This luncheon allows for the Queen to visit with extended family members who ARE NOT invited to her Norfolk estate. Meghan is certainly transitioning into her role as a royal quite well. In fact, last week, Miz Markle joined Harry at Windsor Castle (AKA their wedding venue) for the staff's holiday party. Many of the royal fam's employees were DELIGHTED to meet the American divorcée. The fact that Markle has been invited to all of these official functions is HUGE, as it breaks from the Queen's rule about family gatherings. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams recently explained to Entertainment Tonight: "Firstly, it's important to stress that this is a completely new departure from Christmas with reference to the royal family. Normally, the protocol is pretty strict. In the past, when Kate Middleton was engaged to William and also when Mike Tindall was engaged to Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Phillips, they didn't, as [an] unmarried [couple], spend Christmas with the Queen." Well, well. He continued: "Obviously Meghan's parents are in the United States, but the main reason [Markle is invited] is clearly that it's what Harry wished. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if it wasn't the queen's idea, simply because, it's so important to make a new member and a future senior member of the royal family feel welcome, feel at home, and Christmas is the perfect time to do it." Looks like the Queen has a new favorite -- and we're SO about it. [Image via Danny Martindale/John Rainford/WENN.].....»»

Between meetings with Queen Elizabeth II and official public outings as a couple, it seems Prince Harry and the Suits actress are destined for an engagement. However, the free spirited actress is expected to deal with quite the "minefield" once she officially transitions into becoming a royal. Related: Meghan's Half Sis IS Writing A Memoir In order to make the transition from commoner to princess a smooth one for Miz Markle, it's said the royals are schooling her in the ways of British aristocracy. Apparently, the royal family playful refers to themselves as the "Firm," since there is no special school for learning how to be a member of the privileged brood. Where's Julie Andrews -- excuse us, Queen Clarisse Renaldi -- when you need her?? Thankfully, the ginger prince has been dedicated to educating his lady about his lifestyle. Per British writer Katie Nicholl, the 33-year-old has been a mentor of sorts for Meghan. She told The Post: "He knows how daunting this will be for Meghan and he's keen for her to be relaxed in the company of senior royals." Smart, smart. Reportedly, before the teatime visit at Buckingham Palace, Harry likely informed Markle of all the protocols that she should follow. Nicholl continued: "Harry will have made sure Meghan knew how to address the queen and how to behave in her presence. He calls her ‘Granny,' but after Meghan had curtsied and called her ‘Your Majesty,' she would have reverted to ‘ma'am.' It seems strange to mere mortals, but it is how [Princess] Kate addresses her." How formal!! Although the Suits star is encouraged to be herself, she is expected to act with the manners and grace of a royal. Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, added: "She will always have to remember, in public at least, that she is royalty and certain behaviors are expected... It's going to be difficult for her because she is an independent career woman who [won't] really like being told what to do." You listenin', Meghan?? The American divorcée will also be required to learn the British rules for functioning in society. Seward relayed: "American manners are different than British manners. [She] can't walk down the street eating or chewing gum... We hold our cutlery differently. It's a whole different culture." This is quite the undertaking. Regardless, it's not like the 36-year-old hasn't had experience dealing with the public. As an actress and an activist, Meghan has had extensive media training and can speak eloquently in public. Charles Rae, former royal correspondent for Britain's Sun, informed The Post that Markle has been "studying hard" to learn everything. QUIZ: Are You A Royal Family Expert?? He explained: "She has practically been living at Kensington Palace whenever she is in London and will have seen the routine that goes on with the butlers and servants." The industry vet will also learn from the royal protection squad on how to interact with unruly fans. Rae noted: "She will learn how to cope if someone [in a crowd] comes on too strong. Ever since John Lennon was shot, the royals have been told never to rebuff anyone. Members of the family, including the queen, have had assassination attempts against them in the past, and no chances will be taken with Meghan." Intense stuff. Charles also mentioned that the TV starlet's acting career will be "a thing of the past." If you're still not convinced that Harry and Meghan are engagement bound, reports suggest that the brunette stunner's presence at either the upcoming memorial service for Remembrance Sunday or the Sandringham Christmas celebrations means the couple is serious AF. SoOoO, be sure to keep your ears to the ground, Perezcious readers!! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Meghan Markle To Take Six Months Of Duchess Lessons — & She"s Being Taught By The Queen"s TOP Aide!

As we previously reported, there are all sorts of rules and protocols the Suits alum must follow now that she's the Duchess of Sussex. Thankfully, the royal family doesn't expect the American actress to learn how to be royal bride overnight. However, she will have some serious homework, as she's reportedly starting six months worth of Duchess lessons. Related: Victoria Beckham Gives Her Take On Meghan's Dress According to reports, Queen Elizabeth II has tapped one of her senior aides to coach Prince Harry's wife on the "Dos and Don'ts" of royal life. It's said that 49-year-old Samantha Cohen is relocating from Buckingham Palace to Meghan and Harry's home at Kensington Palace, so that she can work VERY closely with the Windsor family's latest addition. A source told The Times: "It will be six months of listening. She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility. It is not going to be quiet, though. It is going to be a very busy office. She has worked every day of her life. She is used to a demanding schedule." And it sounds like Samantha is the perfect person for the job. Not only does Cohen have almost two decades of experience within the Queen's household, but she viciously protects the Windsors and is lovingly known as, "Samantha the Panther." Often described as "deeply committed-to serving the Monarchy," Samantha was among the first women to take control of the royal family's media office -- this department had originally been run by mostly men for a significant length of time. After a stint in PR, Samantha became the royal deputy press secretary in 2003 and worked her way up to the top position four years later. In 2016, Cohen was made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in honor of her loyal service. Per reports, Samantha has already begun her work with Meghan, having advised her ahead of Prince Charles' 70th birthday/garden party at Buckingham Palace. Well, this explains why Markle is already donning pantyhose!! Regardless, as Meghan isn't a traditional royal bride, we're excited to see how she tackles her newly minted role. Good luck, girl!!
