North Carolina Mayoral Candidate Roasted By GOP For Listing One Of Her Qualifications As "WHITE"!

Yup, an actual candidate touted herself as qualified to be the mayor of Charlotte because she's caucasian. Video: Late Night Slams Trump's Decision To Rescind DACA! Needless to say, Barnette received a ton of backlash for the now-deleted Facebook post, in which she wrote: "VOTE FOR ME…REPUBLICAN & SMART, WHITE, TRADITIONAL." To be fair, other Republican campaign taglines boil down to a similar message -- but at least Donald Trump has the decency will to mask it behind a snappy catchphrase! Barnette, who is running in the September 12 primary, reportedly edited the message and posted a status that read: "There is a group called Congressional Black Caucus. I'm sorry if I described myself as white and it offended others." But the half-baked apology wasn't enough. Even after deleting the now-viral post, Barnette's comments sparked responses from the rest of the state's GOP. Related: Cher SAVAGELY Claps Back At Hater Over DACA GOP Chairman Robin Hayes responded to the viral mess, telling The Charlotte Observer: "Any suggestion that a candidate is more or less qualified for political office based on their skin color alone, is offensive to North Carolina Republicans and we condemn it. This type of suggestion has no place in our public discourse." The 53-year-old's opponents have also spoken out on the controversy. City council member Kenny Smith blasted the "fringe candidate" for "boosting name ID with sort of absurd campaign tactics." Using controversy to get campaign attention? Now, where would she get a tactic like that from? [Image via PBS/YouTube.].....»»

"This Is Us" Season 1 Finale Recap - Refresh Your Memory Before Tonight!

This Is Us returns tonight for season two, and we have a quick recap of what happened in the finale episode as a refresher before the premiere! You’ll remember, the season one finale episode kicked off with Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) driving drunk to Cleveland to catch Rebecca (Mandy Moore) sing with her band. Rebecca’s ex boyfriend Ben tries to kiss her and when Jack arrives to the venue and finds out, he punches him. Rebecca is furious, and she decides to drive them home before performing. They fight the whole way home. At this point, we see a flashback of how Jack and Rebecca met. It’s 1972, and Jack is working as a handyman to get out of his abusive father’s house. Rebecca is an aspiring singer taking gigs trying to make it. Jack and a pal bet his life savings at a shady poker match and win big, but then are robbed by the men at the game. Rebecca, who is being pressured by her friends to settle down, is on a blind date and leaves early to go sing at a bar. Meanwhile, at that same bar, Jack has a plan to make his money back by robbing the register. He ultimately gets distracted when he sees Rebecca sing at the open mic night. Flash forward to Jack and Rebecca, they arrive back home and sleep separately after their huge argument. In the morning, they both realize they said some really hurtful things and Rebecca asks him to leave and stay with Miguel (Jon Huertas). Jack then makes one final, impassioned speech/apology expressing how much he loves his wife. During the apology, we see moments from the grown up, present day Pearson kids. First, Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) are returning to Los Angeles, where Kate finally proclaims she wants to pursue singing. Kevin (Justin Hartley) kisses Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge) and leaves to go meet with Ron Howard about a movie role. We also see Randall (Sterling K. Brown), who looks through a photo album of his family and tells his wife Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) that he wants to adopt a child. Jack then leaves the couple’s home, and the credits roll. Be sure to tune into This Is Us, tonight on NBC at 9pm ET. See photos from the season 2 premiere in the gallery below….....»»

Fans were certainly looking forward to Sunday's showing of GoT as the episode, titled The Dragon And The Wolf, teased the potential of a Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen hookup. Not to mention, many speculated that the title foreshadowed Snow would FINALLY learn about his royal lineage. Related: There's Sexy Jon Snow Halloween Costume... Although, as Cersei Lannister was seen attending the Fellowship Of The Ring rulers meet-and-greet in the trailer, it's safe to assume nothing went according to plan. Soooooo, what exactly happened during The Dragon And The Wolf? Get all the juicy deets from the finale for yourself (below)! Queen vs. Queen vs. King Queen Cersei Lannister finally faced her enemies, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, in order to discuss the impending threat in the north. Things were understandably tense as estranged family members came face to face for the first time in seasons. We mean, for starters, we had the awkward tension between Cersei and her Targaryen-loyal brother, Tyrion Lannister. But let's not forget about the epic feud between Ser Gregor Clegane and Ser Sandor Clegane. Nonetheless, the familial drama was put aside so that Cersei and co. could see for themselves that wights are indeed real. Although it took a bit of convincing, Cersei ultimately agreed to a truce and promised to send her armies north -- a promise she doesn't intend to keep. The Demise Of Petyr Baelish Sansa Stark is done being used as a pawn. As you may recall, ever since Arya Stark returned to Winterfell things have been tense between the Stark sisters. Mainly, because Petyr Baelish has been planting the seed that Arya is dangerous and a threat to Sansa's current hold over the north. Despite once being the most gullible person in Westeros, Sansa has learned quite a bit from her manipulation lessons with Littlefinger, so she was able to realize that he was (once again) trying to use her. Thus Sansa and Arya, with the help of brother Bran Stark, tricked Petyr into standing trial for murder and treason. In an EPIC speech, Sansa called out Littlefinger for being the cause of their family's many tragedies. In typical Littlefinger fashion, Baelish tried to talk himself out of trouble. It didn't work though as Assassin Arya slit his throat. Boy, bye! Theon Steps Up After being a coward for seven straight seasons, Theon Greyjoy was able to unearth some courage inside of himself during Sunday's episode. After a heart-to-heart with former foster brother, Jon Snow, Theon announced his intentions to rescue his sister from the clutches of his evil uncle, Euron Greyjoy. However, the scandalized Greyjoy first had to reclaim power among the remaining loyal Iron Born. Theon took quite the beating from one captain who opposed the rescue mission, but Yara's brother won out in the end as the sailor tried defeating Greyjoy by kicking him in the junk (something he lost seasons ago). Theon also threw a head butt and a couple punches too. The Dragon And The Wolf Dragon The episode took a steamy turn when Jon and Daenerys banged on their journey to the north. While the hookup session was a hot one, it was complicated by the fact that Bran and Samwell Tarly were having a very revealing conversation about the King in the North's lineage at the same time. Between Bran's psychic visions and Sam's maester notes, the twosome were able to confirm that Jon is the child of wedded couple, Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. In short: not only is Jon NOT a bastard, but he's the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Sadly, this truth bomb wasn't revealed before the aunt and nephew duo got it on. Oops. Winter Is Here And So Are The Dead So, you remember that ceasefire we talked about earlier? Well, Cersei officially called it off as she informed her brother Jaime Lannister that she has zero plans to fight in the Great War. The Lannister twins bickered about honor for an entire scene before Jaime, horrified by Cersei's selfishness, chose to abandon King's Landing for the war in the north. And, it's a good thing Jaime's heading north, because Jon and Dany are going to need all the help they can get. In the last moments of the finale, the Night King rode to the Wall on a zombified dragon with his undead army beside him. It took mere moments for the ice dragon to destroy the ancient fortress, likely killing all of those who were there defending it. R.I.P., Tormund?? What a way to end a season. What was YOUR favorite moment??? Be sure to SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via HBO.].....»»

Another Harvey Weinstein Accuser Speaks Out — As Attorney Gloria Allred Compares The Scandalized Producer To Bill Cosby!

Another woman has come forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. Former filmmaker Louisette Geiss (above, left) claims the disgraced producer used a meeting about one of her films at the Sundance Film Festival to proposition her into watching him jerk off. Speaking from her attorney Gloria Allred's (above, right) offices on Tuesday, Geiss said in 2008, Weinstein invited her to the premiere of Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden. Related: Harvey's Scandal Has Fans Call For Boycott Of His Wife's Marchesa Line! After the screening, she agreed to meet him back at the restaurant hotel where they were both staying, but they were turned away because it was closing. Weinstein then innocently suggested they meet in his office attached to his hotel room. Fully aware of the rumors about the movie mogul, Geiss was hesitant at first, but agreed to join only as long as Weinstein promised he would not touch her. They even shook on it. At first, Geiss contends the meeting was great -- the two ended up having a "great conversation" about her movie, for which Harvey "seemed genuinely interested." But before the deal was sealed, the producer excused himself to go to the bathroom and re-emerged wearing a bathrobe -- under which, Geiss recalls he was "buck naked." Things got pretty weird from there. Geiss said Weinstein asked her to watch him masturbate and when she tried to leave, he grabbed her arm and "pleaded [she] watch him masturbate." If she agreed, Weinstein said he'd introduce her to Bob Weinstein (the nice brother you want to meet, apparently) and, according to Geiss, "green light [her] script, but [she'd] have to watch him masturbate." Related: Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Harvey Tried To Proposition Her After that, Geiss left. Not just the hotel room, but the movie industry completely. Allred, Geiss' attorney, said she's heard from several other women who say they are victims of unwanted advances from Weinstein, and that the statute of limitations for each alleged encounter has since expired. To show some mercy, Allred is "inviting [Weinstein] to agree to engage in an arbitration of these claims with these women" with an agreed upon retired judge. The attorney says the proposal is "similar to what [she] suggested to Bill Cosby" amid his sex scandal -- but the comedian "was not wise enough" to agree to it. Allred notes that Weinstein will be smart to agree if he ever intends on returning to Hollywood one day, as an arbitration could be a "positive step he could take to restore his battered reputation." We'd say Weinstein has nothing to lose , as his scandal already looks to be turning into the full Cosby. [Image via Facebook.].....»»

Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay"s Family Grills One Charming Suitor While Rooting For An Underdog — Get The Recap HERE!

Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay's final three suitors have met her family!! While many fans were still recovering from Miz Lindsay's decision to send home baby faced Dean, the powerhouse attorney was busy taking her relationships with her final beaus to the next level. How?? By bringing them home to meet her family, of course! Related: BIP's Amanda Stanton Has Found Love Again Now, normally, the bachelorette's family is flown to some exotic location to meet up with the lead and her remaining men. However, the ABC dating competition broke from tradition this time around as Rachel's sister was eight months pregnant at the time of filming and couldn't travel. Thus Peter, Bryan, and Eric packed their bags and flew to Dallas for some quality time with the Lindsays. Unsurprisingly, not EVERYONE made a great impression on Rachel's fam. So let's dig into the hometown visit! As Peter is the frontrunner, it only seemed right that the gap toothed cutie get the first meet and greet with the Lindsays. Peter was VVV eager to spend time with Rachel as he totally dropped the ball in articulating how he feels about her. While shopping for baby gifts for Rachel's sister, Peter gushed to the season 13 lead: "You do mean the world to me. I want you to have so much confidence going into this in us and in me, and know that you're introducing a good person who is here for you. And I am falling in love with you." And he's back in the lead, y'all! The twosome then made their way to Rachel's residence for a hangout with her mom Kathy, her aunt Connie, her uncle Jeff, her sister Constance, and Constance's husband Alex. The Lindsay patriarch was noticeably absent during the family meeting, but he IS a federal judge so he probably opted out of appearing on a trashy reality show. Anywho, Peter's respectful and honest nature won over the Lindsays, especially Kathy. During a chat about Peter's hesitation to propose at the end of all of this, Rachel's mom actually appreciated the businessman's decision to not ask for her blessing. Way to be sincere AF, bb! Eric was next on deck -- and SUPER nervous about meeting Rachel's family. Why?? Well, because it's been six or seven years since the personal trainer has met a girl's family. But before we get into his visit with the Lindsays, let's cut back to the drama at the hotel between Bryan and Peter. Related: Ben Higgins Isn't Ready To Kiss Someone Else! As they're the two frontrunners, it isn't shocking to see that Peter and Bryan have some tension between them. Upon learning that Peter didn't ask Kathy for her blessing to propose to Rachel, Bryan told the Wisconsin native that he'd be doing just that. Peter was rightfully annoyed by this "ballsy" move and candidly told Bryan: "What's awkward is having to sit here with her other boyfriend, knowing that her other boyfriend is home with her family right now. I don't want to be sitting here with you right now, I'm not going to lie." Preach, bro. But, enough of these two, back to Eric... Eric has shocked us all by landing in the final three and, after a rocky start, has become the underdog we're all rooting for. Now, the 29-year-old definitely raised a few eyebrows when he admitted that his longest relationship didn't even hit the year mark. Still, Eric's earnestness seemed to win everyone over and he even snagged Kathy's blessing to propose to Rachel. Awwww. On meeting Eric, momma Lindsay dished: "Today was good. I was pleasantly surprised again at Rachel's choice. I like the fact that Eric appears very honest, and has a desire to get married and raise a family. I can understand why this is going to be a tough decision for her. Eric is still in the game, folks! And for the moment we've been waiting for, Bryan met with the Lindsay clan. We knew the moment Bryan started spitting lines Rachel's protective family would start grilling him. We mean, like we said, the Lindsay patriarch is a FEDERAL JUDGE! Before Bryan was introduced to Rachel's loved ones though, the Miami native met with two of the bachelorette's gal pals. While it may've seemed like Rachel was all about Bryan since day one, the legal expert dished to her friends: "Let's just be real: I thought he was a douchebag. I really did. I was waiting for the charm to [wear] off and he was like: ‘Look, I'm not going to let you mess this up.' " Of course, this comment inspired Bryan to turn up the charm even more. The smooth talking went over well with Rachel's friends, but NOT with the Lindsays. In fact, there was serious tension between the chiropractor and the Lindsay crew from the get go. Kathy even questioned Bryan's loyalties to Rachel after learning about his (seemingly unhealthy) relationship with his mother. Kathy went as far as to force Bryan to admit on camera (TWICE) that he'd pick Rachel's side over his mother's in the instance that the women butted heads. We're sure this gave Bryan's mother a heart attack. The interrogation against Bryan upset Rachel a ton as she told the cameras: "I was very excited to introduce Bryan to my family, but I felt like my excitement wasn't reciprocated by my family. I'm irritated at this point. The energy is totally different than it was the other two days with Peter and Eric." Later, when revealing her love for Bryan to her mother, Kathy shared that she doesn't feel comfortable with this notion. Rachel's sister clearly felt the same way as she questioned Bryan's sincerity. Nonetheless, Bryan came to Dallas to get Rachel's mother's blessing and was NOT leaving the family sit down without it. Reluctantly, Kathy told Bryan: "Because I trust her judgment, you have my blessing to take this initial love. And just build on that." Awkward! After three VERY different visits with the Lindsays, the final suitors were whisked away to La Rioja, Spain. Eric landed the first overnight date and boy did it go over well. Rachel took Eric on helicopter ride around the region even though he hates heights, and it further proved that he'll do anything to win the bachelorette's heart. In typical Bachelorette fashion, the outing ended with some down time and a declaration of love. Related: Rachel Gushes About Her 'Hopeless Romantic' Fiancé! After dancing around the word "love" for awhile, Eric gushed to Rachel: "I don't know if you understand how much you challenge me emotionally, making me feel vulnerable and open — it feels amazing. Everything about this feels right. You embody everything I would want in a wife. Nothing else matters. I'm just here to say that I'm in love with you. I tried to run … but this is it. I'm here. I'm here for you. I'm just a happy man. I've never felt this way about a girl, ever. Rachel Lindsay, I love you." We're not crying, YOU ARE! Rachel rewarded Eric's openness with an invitation to the Fantasy Suite. He said yes, because, duh. Peter had the next overnight date and was taken to a local vineyard for some fun. Yet their date took a serious turn as, later on, Rachel laid into Peter for his reluctance to propose. After sharing that she doesn't believe that getting engaged means they have to rush into marriage, Rachel relayed: "I didn't come this far and put my life on hold and sacrifice everything I had to do this to just have a boyfriend at the end of it — that's not what I want." You tell 'em, girl! Peter wouldn't budge though as he noted that he believes "an engagement is marriage." He added: "I don't want you to give up on what you believe and what you need in your life. We talked about trying to find the common ground — I just don't know what that is with something that is so polar opposite. I don't know how to get through that." *GASP* Understandably, Peter's admission was "absolutely devastating" to Rachel. The reality TV starlet even concluded to the cameras: "I don't know what to do. I was hopeful for what Peter and I could be, and then just like that, I didn't see it. Tonight, for the first time ever, I'm thinking Peter and I might not work out." Will Peter get the boot? Could Eric actually win this thing? We'll just have to wait and see! Don't forget, The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC......»»

We mean, as the episode was filled with LOTS of waterworks, we can't say we're surprised to see that Bachelor nation had a lot to say about Rachel Lindsay's final rose ceremony and so much more. So, in honor of The Bachelorette finale, we've collected the best reactions to all of the highlights from the three hour episode. You're welcome! Obviously, there are MAJOR Bachelorette spoilers ahead... Eric's Beard Sets The Internet On Fire The season 13 finale almost immediately started with heartbreak as happy-go-lucky Eric Bigger was sent home during the episode's first rose ceremony. Despite the fact that Eric JUST poured his heart out to Rachel, the personal trainer maturely parted ways with the powerhouse attorney. Although, we have a feeling Miz Lindsay may've slightly regretted her decision when Mr. Bigger showed up to the live show looking dapper AF. And, boy, did the internet take notice. Married, Anti-LGBT Ohio Politician Resigns After Being Caught Having GAY SEX In His Office!

Ohio state representative Wes Goodman resigned his seat in the state's House this week after "inappropriate behavior" occurring in his state-provided office several months ago was brought to light in media reports. Related: Twitter Reminds POTUS He's An Admitted Sexual Assaulter Here's the kicker: the "inappropriate behavior" cited against Rep. Goodman -- a staunch family values Republican who often discussed that marriage was ONLY between one man and one woman -- was an incident where he was caught in his office having sex with another man! Yeah... OOPS!!!! Even though the incident in question happened a couple months ago, Ohio House speaker Cliff Rosenberger was finally alerted to Goodman's gay sex show in the office earlier this week, at which point Rosenberger pushed the closeted Republican politician to resign. In a statement, Rosenberger said: "It became clear that his resignation was the most appropriate course of action for him, his family, the constituents of the 87th House District and this institution." Yeah, no kidding. Related: Trump Slams Al Franken Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations Rosenberger's spokesman wouldn't go any further on details about the gay hookup, either, only to say that it was between Goodman and a person who was NOT a state employee, and everything was consensual with no sexual harassment or assault. Now, Wes Goodman's hypocritical, cheatin' ways (of course he's married with children, too!) have landed him outside politics, probably forever -- and it's the second consecutive month in Ohio that a GOP lawmaker has been forced to resign after a sex scandal! (Findlay, Ohio state Senator Cliff Hite, another Republican, resigned in October after a state employee alleged that he asked her for sex several times.) Keep producing those profoundly shitty, hypocritical Republican politicians, Ohio -- you're doing a bang-up job of it lately! [Image via Twitter.].....»»

Kathy Griffin Blasts "Spineless Heiress" Anderson Cooper & "Fame-Whoring" Lawyer Lisa Bloom In New Interview

Not only has the comedienne spoken out about Matt Damon and George Clooney's comments on Harvey Weinstein, she's also addressing her beef with her former attorney Lisa Bloom AND her former BFF Anderson Cooper! Talking to The Daily Beast, she briefly mentioned the CNN host by calling him "The Spineless Heiress," using a quote "from my gays." Yikes! As we previously reported, Kathy told him their 17-year friendship was over after he condemned her bloody Donald Trump photo. Cooper later replaced Kathy as cohost of New Year's Eve Live with Andy Cohen months. Related: Jill Scott Reveals The Rude AF Thing Harvey Told Her But the 56-year-old starlet was really more focused on her feud with her "fame-whoring" lawyer during her recent interview! Discussing the disastrous June 2 press conference, Griffin recalled a horrible conference call afterwards with Lisa, Lisa's husband and law firm manager Braden Pollock, her entertainment lawyer Bill Sobel, and her First Amendment lawyer Alan Isaacman: "I'm not acting like some innocent—I've been around. But I've never been through anything like this. I'm still living it. Everybody was shouting." Griffin says she opposed doing a press tour with Lisa, and her team even agreed, but she says she was scolded for it: "Lisa said, ‘Kathy, I don't like it that you're the only other woman on this call and you're not speaking up for me.' And I'm like, ‘Are you fucking kidding me? After everything I've been through, you're gonna try to play the fucking feminist card with me?… Are you fucking nuts? It doesn't work that way. I don't have your back on this one at all.'" AND claims her lawyer "became obviously extremely volatile. She's too fucking hotheaded to be an attorney. That's the last thing you want in an attorney, and she and her husband were really badgering me" about doing a Good Morning America interview. And as we also reported, Kathy claimed Lisa has been "bombarding" her and BF Randy Bick in recent days. Lisa responded, saying: "Really? Bombarding? Please show call logs then. I sent one text to Kathy in the last three months, and placed one call to Randy recently. The last time I spoke to Kathy, at a group dinner recently, she gave me a big hug, was very friendly and said everything was great between us. I had no idea there was a problem until a reporter reached out to me about this a few days ago." The two also disagree on legal fees, with the celeb claiming she wasn't consulted about Bloom hiring criminal defense attorney Dmitry Gorin. She also conveyed her annoyance that the amount for her June press conference alone was about $40K! Lisa, on the other hand, says: "I have texts giving her Gorin's name before we arrived. And her entertainment attorney was present at the first meeting where everyone handed out business cards indicating their law firms, and where fees were discussed and approved." Regardless, the controversial comedienne really seems to regret having the lawyer on her team for that conference: "That press conference exacerbated my situation greatly. I didn't know I was going to her office, and that I would be under a fucking banner that said ‘Lisabloom.com,' and that she would hand me a coffee cup that said ‘Lisabloom.com.' It was one of the worst days of my life." Kathy also was upset over how Lisa's husband handled the aftermath of the event: "Lisa's husband was physically holding the door closed, so we were in there, and Lisa was outside doing interviews in the hallway fame-whoring which we didn't know at the time. We knew that the press conference was a disaster the minute it was over. We said, ‘Where's Lisa, she's supposed to be in here?' and her husband was holding the door, and I was probably crying, and I remember Bill, my boyfriend, and Alan walked over to her husband and they were like ‘what the fuck is going on?' Nobody in my posse is violent or anything, but they said, take your hand off the door." Lisa's response? "This is false and ridiculous." But as Kathy continued, she says it didn't get any better as she was pressured to interview with Kevin Frazier of Entertainment Tonight: "I'm looking at Kevin and I'm a wreck, but now it made the situation worse when Lisa came back [from her hallway interviews] and was really pressuring me to go on GMA on the following Monday, which I knew was a horrible idea… I had thought I was going to say my peace and clear up this mess… But Lisa and her husband would not stop blowing up my phone and my boyfriend's phone. And it was not only GMA, but this was just the beginning of a press tour." Plus, she added she was skeptical about flying out of the airport after it was reported the Secret Service were looking into her: "And I'm like, ‘Lisa, do you think I want to go to an airport?' I can't tell you how hot that situation was for me that day. ‘I'm not going anywhere near a fucking airport.' What if I'm on some no-fly list? It's stupid to go to LAX and [be faced with airport security officers telling her] ‘You're on the no-fly list—come into the terrorism interrogation room.'" Lisa countered: "I do not insist on anything with any client. I offer options and make recommendations. I am not a shouter. I don't recall anyone shouting." In the end, the celeb knew it was time to cut ties: "We were kind of saying, ‘Lisa, it's over, it didn't go well, we gave it a shot, and come on, no harm, no foul, and frankly, it's a win for you.' But when you're a comic and you bombed, you know you bombed. You didn't get laughs, and you bombed." Well, these two definitely won't be working together ever again! Do you think either Anderson or Lisa will respond to Kathy's candid interview?? [Image via Sheri Determan/FayesVision/Ivan Nikolov/WENN.].....»»
