Widow Of Slain Soldier Donald Trump "Disrespected" Speaks Out — And POTUS Is Already Calling Her A Liar!

The pregnant widow of U.S. Army Sgt. La David T. Johnson has nothing to say to Donald Trump — but she has plenty to say about his insensitivity. Myeshia Johnson is speaking out about the controversial condolence call she received from POTUS en route to retrieve her husband's body, and admitted that hearing from Trump only [...] The pregnant widow of U.S. Army Sgt. La David T. Johnson has nothing to say to Donald Trump -- but she has plenty to say about his insensitivity. Myeshia Johnson is speaking out about the controversial condolence call she received from POTUS en route to retrieve her husband's body, and admitted that hearing from Trump only made her feel worse. The phone call has been the center of controversy ever since Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, who was in the car with the family at the time, claimed Trump said the slain soldier "knew what he signed up for, but when it happens it hurts anyway." Related: Mark Cuban Teasing A 2020 Presidential Campaign Not only did Johnson confirm Wilson's account, she claimed the president struggled to even remember her late husband's name. Speaking on Good Morning America, the Gold Star widow admitted Trump's remarks made her cry -- angered not necessarily by what he said, but by "the tone of his voice and how he said it." After unequivocally backing up Wilson's account, Johnson revealed the part of the call that hurt the most: "I heard [Trump] stumbling on trying to remember my husband's name and that's what hurt me the most because if my husband is out here fighting for our country and he risked his life for our country, why can't you remember his name?" As he's been doing each time a witness confirms Wilson's account, Trump has already disputed the pregnant widow's version of events. Within an hour of the interview airing on ABC, he shared on Twitter: I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 23, 2017 Wow. He's going full fake news on this one -- even though Johnson is the third person to claim the Green Beret soldier was disrespected by POTUS. Then again, it's hard to argue what "disrespectful" is in a situation like this. Johnson may have been "angered" by POTUS's voice -- yet aren't we all, always, angered by his voice? Sure, hearing "knew what he signed up for" in that nasally, cartoonishly self-important cadence would probably make us cry, too. But does that mean it came from a place of disrespect? What do you think about this drama, Perezious Readers? Watch a clip of the widow's interview (below) and share your thoughts! "Whatever [@RepWilson] said was not fabricated. What she said was 100% correct." - widow of Sgt. La David Johnson on Pres. Trump's call pic.twitter.com/fOAmT7c0Bk — Good Morning America (@GMA) October 23, 2017 [Image via C-SPAN/ABC.].....»»
