The 37-year-old Pitch Perfect actress says that a “male star” once asked her to perform a sexual act on him while his friends filmed and she also had a hotel room encounter with a “top director.” “I feel lucky that I grew up in a pro-female environment, going to an all-girls high school, and that I have such a strong sense of self and have taken self-defense classes. I had the ability to escape both incidents. I realize not everyone is as lucky,” Rebel said in her series of tweets on Saturday (November 11). You can read everything she tweeted below. I've been away in a 'bubble' of sorts creating new comedy overseas but it's so hard to hear all these stories relating to sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood. As you guys know, I'm a pretty strong and confident person but even I have a story to tell. — Rebel Wilson (@RebelWilson) November 11, 2017 A male star, in a position of power asked me to go into a room with him and then asked me repeatedly to stick my finger up his ass. All whilst his male 'friends' tried to film the incident on their iPhones and laughed. I repeatedly said no and eventually got out of the room. — Rebel Wilson (@RebelWilson) November 11, 2017 Click inside to read the rest of Rebel Wilson’s tweets… I called my agent immediately and my lawyer made a complaint with the studio – basically to protect myself that in the event something similar ever occurred I'd be able to walk out of the job and not obliged to return. — Rebel Wilson (@RebelWilson) November 11, 2017 Later I was threatened by one of the star's representatives to be nice and support the male star. I refused. The whole thing was disgusting.I've told hundreds of people in the industry the story in more graphic detail basically to warn them off this individual. — Rebel Wilson (@RebelWilson) November 11, 2017 Earlier in my career, I also had a 'hotel room' encounter with a top director. I thought we were there to talk comedy. Nothing physical happened because the guy's wife called and started abusing him over the phone for sleeping with actresses and luckily she was yelling so loud… — Rebel Wilson (@RebelWilson) November 11, 2017 that I could hear her and I bolted out of there immediately. During a recent interview on The Wendy Williams Show, the 42-year-old actor reflected on his marriage to the 32-year-old entertainer and nothing but nice things to say about his ex. “It’s a bit difficult to tell what’s going on in such a situation,” Russell said. “But it was a very, very wonderful time. She was lovely. She’s such a lovely person I’ve got nothing but love for her.” Russell and Katy married in a lavish, traditional Indian wedding back in 2010 before he filed for divorce two years later. Keri says that the incident happened in 1991 after she went to dinner with both Russell and Brett Ratner, who was a music video director at the time. They went back to his apartment after dinner and she says Simmons began yanking off her clothes. “I looked over at Brett and said ‘help me’ and I’ll never forget the look on his face,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “In that moment, the realization fell on me that they were in it together.” Russell has already denied the claims to the LA Times and now he’s speaking out again in a lengthy statement to THR. Click inside to read what he said… “I also know from recent painful personal experience that some recollections can be cast in a light away from the actual facts,” Russell wrote. “In my case, three witnesses [Anthony McNair and two anonymous witnesses] have signed statements that our experiences that weekend with Keri Claussen Khalighi 26 years ago were consensual. My longtime loathing of any form of violence and abuse has been woven into all of my personal interactions, as most who know me will attest.” “In our meeting many years later, and subsequent conversations, Keri never accused me of what she has said publicly. She insisted I was not violent. She did tell me her boyfriend and many others found out about our long weekend together and she said she was ashamed by that discovery. I am sorry for the embarrassment she recounted to me,” he added. He also said, “As a yogi I believe intent is very important. My intent always came from a joyful, playful place. I can sleep at night because I know who I am. And I know who I was. I never committed any acts of aggression or violence in my life. I would never knowingly cause fear or harm to anyone. For any women from my past who I may have offended, I sincerely apologize. I am still evolving.”.....»»

Former Child Star Mara Wilson Calls Out Adult Fans For Sexualizing Young Stars Like Millie Bobby Brown

Mara Wilson knows the plight of being a child star. For an essay in Elle, the Matilda actress called for adults to stop perpetuating the trend where young stars are sexualized. Wilson has spoken from a place of experience as, when she "hit puberty," adults felt it granted them permission to discuss her body. How awful. Related: Duffer Brothers Initially Planned To Kill Off Eleven In Season One! The Mrs. Doubtfire star recalled: "As soon as I'd hit puberty, it had become okay for strangers to discuss my body. Every time I stumbled across an article about myself, every fear I had about my pubescent body was confirmed: I was 'ugly,' which as a woman, made me useless, or I was 'cute,' which made me an object. I was 'grown up,' which made me vulnerable. Because I was a child actor, my body was public domain." The former child actress went on to praise the young stars of Netflix's Stranger Things and called out the way fans talked about the show's 13-year-old lead, Millie Bobby Brown. Specifically, Mara was irked by the way one grown man commented on Millie's appearance at the season 2 premiere. The adult fan apparently wrote on Twitter: "She just grew up in front of our eyes." In response to this particular tweet, Mara hit back with: "Commenting on a child's body, whether in a ‘positive' or ‘negative' way, in a sexualizing or pitying way, is still commenting on a child's body." Fair point. It's important that we don't dehumanize these stars before they even have the chance to reach adulthood. Wilson concluded her essay by advising those on social media to avoid talking about child stars altogether. Especially since they're at an impressionable age. Not to mention, we are the adults, and the child stars are not. She noted: "It's never a bad idea to assume whoever you discuss on the internet can and will see what you say about them, and this is doubly true of children. We — the public, the media — are all grown up. We just need to act like it." Well said. Be sure to read Mara's powerful essay in its entirety HERE. [Image via Twitter/Brian To/WENN.].....»»

The 30-year-old entertainer is releasing his debut album Yours on Friday (October 13) and it has spent several weeks as the number one country music pre-order! Here are the five things to know about Russell: I wore swim trunks and cowboy boots to college graduation: Took me 6 years to finally graduate so I had to go out in RD fashion! As I walked across the stage you could totally see I definitely wasn’t wearing pants and my parents thought for sure I was naked and about to moon the entire arena! Haha, Pops was not amused however my mom, the next year for Christmas, gave me a graduation nutcracker with swim trunks and all – HAHA! I subbed for a screamer in a metal band: Yea, it was good – haha! At first I didn’t know any of the words so I just jumped around and was just mumbling nonsense. Then they actually begged me to stay but I knew it wasn’t my path or style for sure. I can do a mean Jim Carrey & Chris Farley impersonation: My go to lines — “Wellllll Looks like we got ourself a Bill Shakespeare here dad. I heard you weren’t using your papers for writin’ but for rooooooolin doobies!” Jim Carrey any and every line from Ace Ventura, “Theressssss someone on the wing… some… thing” “Yyyyyyak” and Dumb & Dumber “You sold our Petey to a blind kid?! … Harry, I took care of it…” I’m known as “Uncle Russy Ducky”: Our little nieces gave me this nickname. They also came up with awesome names for pets, Stinky Pizza the goldfish and Sponge Bob Moana Princess the hermit crab. I wrote and co-produced every song on my upcoming debut album: SOOOOOOO STOKED to share with you guys and the world!!!!!! My debut album Yours will be out on October 13th! Make sure to pre-order the album now on iTunes and watch the “Yours” music video below! “Yours” // OFFICIAL VIDEO // Russell Dickerson.....»»
