Rose McGowan Kills Ex-Manager Jill Messick

Rose McGowan’s ex-manager Jill Messick has committed suicide, and while her act undoubtedly is the culmination of years of battling documented depression, confirmed in a statement by her family, the straw that broke the camel’s back was McGowan’s very public slamming of Messick as the ultimate h8er. When slams go wrong. Messick had to deal with McGowan’s ass directly before Messick became an executive at Miramax, Harvey Weinstein’s studio, between the years of 1997 and 2003. 1997 was the fateful year that McGowan shored up her career by having sex with Weinstein in a hot tub during the Sundance Film Festival. According to modern day McGowan in her book Brave – now on bookshelves! – McGowan opened up to Messick as well as other insiders about being raped by Weinstein at the time, only to be told to sweep the encounter under the rug, and to accept the $100,000 hush money offered by Weinstein. If only it was that easy to get McGowan to shut her cat anus mouth. But Messick’s family has a slightly different take on McGowan’s chat with Messick in 1997, claiming that McGowan regretted duffing a hog to get ahead in her career, but that she never framed the encounter as rape: Following the meeting [with Weinstein], Rose told Jill what had happened – that she made the decision to remove her clothes and get in the hot tub with him – a mistake which Rose immediately regretted. Rose never once used the word rape in that conversation. Despite this, Jill recognized that Harvey had done something untoward to Rose, if not illegal. She immediately went to her bosses, the partners of Addis Wechsler, to recount Rose’s story and to insist that they immediately address the situation. They told Jill that they would handle the situation. The ensuing arrangements between Rose and Harvey were then negotiated, completely without Jill’s knowledge. At that time, all Jill knew was that the matter was settled and that Rose continued making films with the Weinsteins. She never knew any details until recently, when Rose elected to make them public. Messick’s family claims that she recently became “collateral damage” in the ongoing feud between McGowan and Weinstein. He even went so far as to release her private email correspondences to the public in order to take on McGowan. Being Hollywood tabloid fodder was apparently something that Messick was unable to handle emotionally, so, now she’s dead. In hindsight she may have chosen the wrong industry. Just saying. The fact of the matter is that Messick was a movie executive, and odds are she was ready and willing to step on the backs of emotionally and physically abused starlets in order to get to the top. It’s 90% of the job description. Hell she might have murdered a few for good measure. Practice. Execs are driven by money and greed, and I frankly can’t say too many great things about them, and if I had to guess, Messick was an asshole. But McGowan has been no more than a celebrity cyber bully for years now. The hypnosis she has on her “Rose Army” of avid followers will be broken once they see that she’s only a victim of Groupon plastic surgeons, not of patriarchial Hollywood. Jill’s death could very well lead to a domino effect that will take down Rose. Messick’s family can take solace in that. Even though she was probably terrible. Just saying. As we reported, an arrest warrant dated February 1 was issued for the Charmed actress after authorities found narcotics inside of her belongings on a United flight to Washington Dulles International Airport. On Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office told ET Online the substance in question is cocaine. Related: Rose McGowan Pulls Out Of Film Festival The statement read: "Rose's warrant has been unserved. It was sworn out (or issued) on Feb. 1 for an offense date in January... The warrant has been outstanding all this time. We have had some attorneys contact us about this case on her behalf, but as of now, she has not made herself available for service of that warrant, so there is nothing pending in the court. It's just an outstanding warrant that exists for a possession of a controlled 1 or 2 scheduled substance, it being cocaine for the warrant." The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority adds: "On Feb. 1, 2017, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Rose McGowan, an actress from Encino, California, for possession of a controlled substance... The felony charge stems from a police investigation of personal belongings that tested positive for narcotics and were left behind on United flight 653 arriving at Washington Dulles International Airport on Jan. 20, 2017... The Airports Authority police have attempted to contact Ms. McGowan so she can appear in a Loudoun County, Virginia, court to respond to the charge... The arrest warrant was also entered into a national law enforcement database." On Monday, the thespian called the warrant "a load of horseshit," and says officials are trying to "silence" her. Rose McGowan Breaks Down Over Anthony Bourdain Suicide In Deleted Video

Many celebs, like McGowan, are spreading resources for suicide prevention. That's good. Unlike McGowan, they're not channeling their pain into an audition reel. That's bad. The differences between good and bad. Tactful and tacky. Selfless and selfish. Human-ish looking and not human-ish looking. Needing to seek treatment and not needing to seek treatment. All things McGowan should be contemplating instead of filming and deleting this stupid video. Enjoy the big chef's kitchen in the sky Bourdain. Where you'll never have to worry about serving Rose McGowan. The post Rose McGowan Breaks Down Over Anthony Bourdain Suicide In Deleted Video appeared first on WWTDD - What Would Tyler Durden Do?.   I don’t usually willingly cover #trending celeb suicide news because I can’t imagine that people want to be remembered mostly for the last ten morbid seconds of their lives rather than whatever the hell they were passionate about, but once Rose McGowan breaks down over someone who she’s kinda of hypothetically tied to in a roundabout way, I have to write about it. The instability. The shamelessness. The botched anus lips. They call to me. Friday morning Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was found in his France hotel room after tragically taking his own life – following Kate Spade’s suicide just days before him – and many celebs are respectfully paying tribute on Twitter. Rose McGowan is not one of them. In a since-deleted Twitter video (that Newsweek blessedly preserved via YouTube) McGowan gets all eyes back on her while pointing out her special connection to Bourdain. (She and his wife Asia Argento both went after Weinstein after being #MeToo-ed.) Sometimes, for as difficult as I know it is for a pathological narcissist manic-depressive like McGowan, you just need to blend into the wallpaper for a little bit. This isn’t the time for McGowan to garner sympathy for her own pain. Save that for a good 24-hours after another’s passing. In elementary school, I remember trying to out-mourn my mom when we both came home at the same time to find that our very old dog had passed away. She shared significantly more memories with our beloved dog, and was significantly more involved in our dog’s final, painful months. It wasn’t the time for my annoying forced theatrics. And my mom told me to STFU. And I did. And now it’s my turn. Rose, STFU. Many celebs, like McGowan, are spreading resources for suicide prevention. That’s good. Unlike McGowan, they’re not channeling their emotions into a public audition reel. That’s bad. The differences between good and bad. Tactful and tacky. Selfless and selfish. Human-ish looking and not human-ish looking. Needing to seek treatment and not needing to seek treatment. All things McGowan should be contemplating instead of filming and deleting this stupid video. Sorry McGowan, that really blows. Have coke and smile. I want nose candy. Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. McGowan has been indicted by a grand jury for “one felony count of cocaine possession” according to TMZ, but still maintains her innocence, with her attorney releasing the statement in response to the news: Rose steadfastly maintains her innocence. These charges would have never been brought if it weren’t for her activism as a voice for women everywhere. I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defense. In 2017 cocaine was found in a purse that McGowan left behind on a plane, but as five hours passed between when she left the plane and when the purse was returned to her, McGowan claims that plenty of time passed for the cocaine to be planted on her. At the time of the initial arrest, her lawyer stated: There is simply no point in time at which the evidence places Ms. McGowan and the cocaine together in the same place. And, taking it a step further, McGowan even maintains that there’s a strong likelihood that Harvey Weinstein is behind the cocaine planting. A conviction could land McGowan in jail for a year. If I were McGowan I would fess up to lugging around a bunch of blow, guilty or not, because A) It would explain my daily mental blowouts and B) It would explain the eyebrows in the picture above. Damn. Needless to say, if convicted, we’ll know for a fact that Rose McGowan blows. If you have the same mentality as Rose McGowan you probably believe that men are to blame for most of the problems in the world. Why take responsibility for traces of a controlled substance when you can just pin everything on Weinstein. Rose is alleging that Harvey planted drugs in her bag at the airport using “underhanded tactics.” Harvey doesn’t look like he’s a fan of getting high. Going for the top score as a serial sexual harasser requires a dedicated focus that the casual use of hard drugs can’t provide. You can’t rape anyone when you’re slipping the roofies into your own drink. So the only underhanded tactics in regards to Weinstein probably ends at his hands underneath the skirt of some starlet without consent. Alleging he’s into drugs and framing women is just slanderous. Rose McGowan is seeking the dismissal of a drug-possession case against her, citing the “underhanded tactics” of disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein, who she has accused of raping her. Court papers filed Tuesday reference “the underhanded targeting of Ms. McGowan” on Weinstein’s part, adding, “It is now public knowledge that Weinstein employed underhanded tactics to ‘silence’ his victims.” Most of the hot takes McGowan has about men in general sound inspired by a heroin binge. There’s no way drugs weren’t  involved in the shouting match she had with a transexual in the middle of Barnes and Noble. Harvey is not the one to blame here. McGowan obviously needs attention, rehab, and an attorney that will talk some sense into her before she’s sued for defamation by her alleged rapist. Robert Rodriguez Says He Cast Rose McGowan In Grindhouse To SPITE Harvey Weinstein — And The Movie Got "Buried" Because Of Her!

We've heard lots of stories over the past couple weeks from women Harvey Weinstein scared into silence. But what would have happened if they fought back? But what would have happened if they fought back? Video: Rose McGowan's Powerful Speech At The Detroit Women's Convention According to Robert Rodriguez, he did try to help Rose McGowan beat Harvey's "blacklisting" of her -- by casting her in his Weinstein Company-funded film Grindhouse. In fact, in an official essay for Variety, he reveals the plot of his half of the throwback double feature with Quentin Tarantino was inspired by her story, something he could never talk about before: "I have not previously discussed what I knew about the 1997 incident that Rose suffered in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival. I never wanted to do anything that jeopardized a legal settlement she entered into with Harvey Weinstein. Now that she's able to tell her story, I want to provide an account of what I knew, when I knew it, and what I did about it." Rodriguez says he first learned of her "blacklisting" at Cannes in 2005, when she explained to him why she hadn't auditioned for Sin City. She told him the whole story of the assault -- and the subsequent legal action: "Rose told me that all she could do at the time was to get Harvey Weinstein to donate money to an abused women's shelter and in return she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that forbade her from talking about the horrific violation without being sued, and that she shouldn't even be telling me. To add insult to injury, she told me that she was blacklisted from even auditioning for any Weinstein movies." That's when the director got PISSED -- and decided to go renegade: "I then revealed to Rose right then and there that I was about to start writing a movie with Quentin Tarantino, a double feature throwback to 70's exploitation movies, and that if she was interested, I would write her a BAD ASS character and make her one of the leads. I wanted her to have a starring role in a big movie to take her OFF the blacklist, and the best part is that we would have Harvey's new Weinstein Company pay for the whole damn thing." But they got to throw it in Harvey's face sooner than they were expecting: "Just as I finished telling Rose this, I saw Harvey walking around the party! I called Harvey over to our table, and as soon as he got close enough to see that I was sitting with Rose, his face dropped and went ghostly white. I said, "Hey Harvey, this is Rose McGowan. I think she's amazing and really talented and I'm going to cast her in my next movie." Harvey then dribbled all over himself in the most over the top performance I'd ever seen as he gushed, "Oh she's wonderful, oh she's amazing, oh she's fantastic, oh she's so talented… You two should definitely work together." And then he skittered off. I knew right then that every word Rose told me was true, you could see it all over his face." They made the film, a star-studded, strangely meta movie that played like two '70s B movies, complete with fake trailers for other movies made by friends like Eli Roth and Edgar Wright. It was crazy and long and ahead of its time -- and Rose is spectacular in it. Unfortunately it completely tanked at the box office. Rodriguez still believes Harvey's vendetta against Rose is what kept the movie from even being given a fighting chance with a proper ad campaign, etc. He explains: "But because of the NDA Rose told me she had signed, at Rose's request I had to keep it quiet from everyone until now as to why we were even making that film together, especially Harvey. We knew that strategically we couldn't rub it in his face why we were REALLY doing this movie, because then he'd just bury the movie, not sell it well, and everyone would lose. To our horror, Harvey buried our movie anyway, and because we did not want to risk getting sued, we never spoke publicly about the matter... I am still haunted and disillusioned that after all the good intentions, immense pain and struggle Rose and I and so many talented people went through to make the film, that Harvey Weinstein won in the end by burying the movie just because Rose was the lead actress." Robert wishes they could have spoken about the inspiration of the film, the fight behind the scenes before now. And he hopes this new conversation will change things in Hollywood and other businesses: "It's been really difficult to admit and come to terms that the NDA handcuffs forced us to needlessly jump through hoops that today would have been unnecessary because of Rose's fearlessness to speak out, despite the consequences. I hope that new legislation will result in NDAs to be legally null and void in situations where rape and assault have been committed and where power is so unequally distributed." Hear, hear! "Looking back over the years, I have wondered if I would have made the same choices, knowing the bleak outcome. We all suffered greatly on the film, and the journey ended up costing us all more than we ever bargained for. For me personally, it cost me my marriage of 16 years, my family, a large dose of sanity, and for years I have grappled with the sobering idea that maybe I made a grave error in standing up at all, when no one was even asking me to." OK, we have to stop right there -- was it really the movie failing at the box office that cost you your marriage, Robert? Or did dating your star do it? In case you didn't know, Robert and Rose went public with their relationship when the movie came out -- immediately after news of his split with his wife, Elizabeth Avellan, hit. Photos: 10 Movies That Ruined Celebrity Relationships Not the point, we know, but gotta be honest here. Anyway, go on: "I know that's not the message I'd ever want to send out, but it's been hard to justify something that now is clear was a lose/lose situation from the get-go, and that in the end failed and simply caused more damage. The reason I'm saying this is because it's very clear to me now that when someone does what Harvey Weinstein did, the devastation goes far beyond predator and victim. These past few weeks have given me new clarity and hope by seeing the tide finally turn, seeing Harvey finally on the run, and seeing all the brave women who have come forth with their own shocking and distressing stories of abuse. Since I've seen a distinct lack of stories coming from men who may have tried to do the right thing, I wanted to come forth to say that no matter the consequences, no matter how far you have to stick your neck out, no matter what you have to lose, that we must fight the good fight. Everyone has to make a stand and take action." Damn right they do! Because two against the world isn't enough. This fight needs to be ALL of us against them. [Image via Z. The star has implied in every way possible that she was assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. She said she was raped by a studio exec but didn't name him, the New York Times exposé listed her as someone to whom the exec had to give a $100K payoff for "an episode in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival," and she is rumored to be the actress who pulled out of Ronan Farrow's article over "the legal angle." After we took a look at McGowan’s quickly-deleted audition reel last week for an off off off off off broadway adaptation of Girl, Interrupted, you guys brought up the point that McGowan is never without agenda. This is definitely true, but now I want someone to pinpoint exactly what that agenda is after reading this new and lengthy letter she released in the wake of Bourdain’s death. McGowan wrote it with his girlfriend Asia Argento’s blessing, and seems to really want to drive home the point that Argento and Bourdain had an open relationship with: Anthony and Asia had a free relationship, they loved without borders of traditional relationships, and they established the parameters of their relationship early on. Asia is a free bird, and so was Anthony. Was. Such a terrible word to write. This tangentially bolsters the overall message that Asia is in no way responsible for Bourdain’s death, but, doesn’t it also kind of imply – especially considering McGowan’s visceral and bombastic response to his death – that she was (Was. Such a terrible word to write) somehow involved in a kinky love triangle? Which would mean that Bourdain slept with McGowan? Which would mean that he died like they do in “It Follows?” While obviously Asia is not responsible for Bourdain’s suicide, and seems happy to have someone championing her, McGowan’s history tells us that she’s what grief counselors refer to as an attention-hungry bitch, and I think Asia better watch her back. There’s something even worse than getting #MeToo-ed. Getting #McGowan-ed. Check out this mess of a letter and decipher it in the comments.   ______________________ Dear Fellow Humans, Sitting across from me is the remarkable human and brave survivor, Asia Argento, who has been through more than most could stand, and yet stand she does. She stood up to her monster rapist and now she has to stand up to yet another monster, suicide. The suicide of her beloved lover and ally, Anthony Bourdain. I write these truths because I have been asked to. I know so many around the world thought of Anthony Bourdain as a friend and when a friend dies, it hurts. Many of these people who lost their ‘friend’ are wanting to lash out and blame. You must not sink to that level. Suicide is a horrible choice, but it is that person’s choice. When Anthony met Asia, it was instant chemistry. They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this last year. Anthony was open with his demons, he even wrote a book about them. In the beginning of their relationship, Anthony told a mutual friend, “He’s never met anyone who wanted to die more than him.” And through a lot of this last year, Asia did want the pain to stop. But here’s the thing, over their time together, thankfully, she did the work to get help, so she could stay alive and live another day for her and her children. Anthony’s depression didn’t let him, he put down his armor, and that was very much his choice. His decision, not hers. His depression won. Anthony and Asia had a free relationship, they loved without borders of traditional relationships, and they established the parameters of their relationship early on. Asia is a free bird, and so was Anthony. Was. Such a terrible word to write. I’ve heard from many that the past two years they were together were some of his happiest and that should give us all solace. Anthony was 61, the same age my father was when he died. My father also suffered from intermittent deep depression, and like Anthony, was part of a “pull up your bootstraps and march on” generation. The a “strong man doesn’t ask for help” generation. I know before Anthony died he reached out for help, and yet he did not take the doctor’s advice. And that has led us here, to this tragedy, to this loss, to this world of hurt. Do NOT do the sexist thing and burn a woman on the pyre of misplaced blame. Anthony’s internal war was his war, but now she’s been left on the battlefield to take the bullets. It is in no way fair or acceptable to blame her or anyone else, not even Anthony. We are asking you to be better, to look deeper, to read and learn about mental illness, suicide and depression before you make it worse for survivors by judging that which we do not understand, that which can never fully be understood. Sometimes we are stuck in the unknowable, and that is where we are now, a massive wave of darkness that threatens to swallow everyone in its wake. As I watch Asia do her job on set today, I see a pillar of strength who continues to work to put food on her children’s table. I see Elizabeth Taylor carrying on filming Cat on a Hot Tin Roof despite her love, her husband, dying in a plane crash. I see all of us who have carried on. Please join me in sending healing energy to Anthony on his journey, and to all who’ve been left behind to journey on without him. There is no one to blame but the stigma of loneliness, the stigma of asking for help, the stigma of mental illness, the stigma of being famous and hurting. We must do more and be better. Anthony, our friend, would want it that way. To the media and to the random commenter, Anthony would never have wanted Asia to be hurt, I’d like to think he would want us to have the collective conversation that needs to be had about depression. Blame is NOT a conversation, it is the shutting down of our collective growth. Which is where we are now. We have a choice as humans, shrink to our smaller, uglier selves, or be better and grow as only true Phoenixes can. I urge you to be that Phoenix. With great sadness and even greater hope, I remain, Rose McGowan cc: Asia Argento ______________________ Photo Credit: Instagram The post Can Someone Decipher Rose McGowan’s New Statement On Bourdain’s Suicide? appeared first on WWTDD - What Would Tyler Durden Do?......»»

Apparently, the Charmed alum is convinced that the drugs were planted on the wallet found on a United jet. In fact, the Citizen Rose star believes that Harvey Weinstein may've even had something to do with it. Related: Rose Breaks Her Silence About Jill Messick's Shocking Suicide Amid pleading not guilty to the charge, Rose highlighted that there is a five hour period where she was without her wallet, which could've resulted in the coke being planted. In the motion to dismiss filing, McGowan's lawyer stated: "There is simply no point in time at which the evidence places Ms. McGowan and the cocaine together in the same place." Very inneresting. The attorney went on to call out Weinstein's potential involvement in the scandal, as they claimed the presence of cocaine was the result of "the underhanded targeting of Ms. McGowan by the fallen mogul." Or whatever exists halfway between being a woman and a man. Lena Dunham. So I guess a potato. McGowan is going head to head against Jennifer Lawrence for the crown of must mentally compromised celebrity, but after this interview, it’s safe to say that McGowan is actually winning. Which considering Lawrence’s recent behavior is really saying something. McGowan states: [I] don’t want to be a man or a woman, I’m not. I think we’re never going to solve anything by going into the man/woman construct. Step back to humanity. McGowan adds that she doesn’t want to be: … labeled as a woman when I don’t even know what that means. Well McGowan, if it makes you feel any better after two more visits to the plastic surgeon’s office you won’t even register as a person. If you look up “spiraling the damn drain” on the Internet you’ll probably find a picture of McGowan, because the woman is seriously losing her shit. It’s like she has fame ho Munchausen syndrome. The rush of sympathy and media coverage she garnered for her Weinstein allegations were not sustainable, and as progressives’ obsession with McGowan fades, she’s doing anything to get the spotlight back on her. People don’t come out as potatoes on a whim on a random podcast. She’s throwing everything she can at the wall to see what sticks, and considering I could only find details about this story in the depths of the Internet, it seems like that wall might as well be coated in Teflon.
