The press secretary provided an update on Friday (May 4). PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Meghan Markle “We are now just over two weeks away from the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle. As they have travelled around the UK in the months since their engagement last November, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have been incredibly grateful for the support they have received from members of the public,” the update reads. “The crowds that have turned out in Nottingham, Cardiff, Brixton, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Belfast, Bath and elsewhere have given Ms. Markle a welcome to the United Kingdom marked by warmth, enthusiasm, and a real sense of fun.” Read the full outline inside… We are now just over two weeks away from the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle. As they have travelled around the UK in the months since their engagement last November, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have been incredibly grateful for the support they have received from members of the public. The crowds that have turned out in Nottingham, Cardiff, Brixton, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Belfast, Bath and elsewhere have given Ms. Markle a welcome to the United Kingdom marked by warmth, enthusiasm, and a real sense of fun. We said from the outset that Prince Harry and Ms. Markle were keen to make sure that members of the public would have the opportunity to feel part of the celebrations on their wedding day. This is their way of expressing their gratitude for the messages of support they have received from around the UK, the Commonwealth, Ms. Markle’s home country of the United States, and right around the world. In today’s briefing I want to share more details of what people can expect to see in the day’s leading up to the wedding, and on the day itself, and explain what the public can expect in Windsor. The first thing I would like to share is that Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are very much looking forward to welcoming Ms. Markle’s parents to Windsor for the wedding. Mr. Thomas Markle and Ms. Doria Ragland will be arriving in the UK in the week of the wedding, allowing time for Prince Harry’s family, including The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to spend time with them before the big day. Both of the bride’s parents will have important roles in the wedding. On the morning of the wedding, Ms. Ragland will travel with Ms. Markle by car to Windsor Castle. Mr. Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle of St George’s Chapel. Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion. In addition to having the support of The Queen, his father The Prince of Wales, and his brother Prince William as Best Man, Prince Harry is also keen to involve his mother’s family in his wedding. All three siblings of Diana, Princess of Wales will be in attendance and Lady Jane Fellowes will give the reading. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day. As we said back in November, this wedding will be guided by tradition, allowing everyone to celebrate what makes Royal Weddings so special, but also one which reflects the personalities of Prince Harry and Ms. Markle. We have been announcing details over the last couple of months and in the final week ahead of the wedding you can expect to hear more about the arrangements, including: The Instrument of Consent; Details of the Bridesmaids and Page Boys; The work of florist Philippa Craddock and the Crown Estate gardeners who have been growing and preparing the flowers that will fill the church; An update from Claire Ptak, the baker who will make the wedding cake, and the chefs who have been working in the Palace kitchens to make the final preparations and; We will publish the full Order of Service on the website on Saturday morning so members of the public can follow the service at home. I will now take you through the high level outline of what you can expect to see from the evening of Friday 18th May. The key moment for the day before will be the arrival of the bride at her accommodation. We expect this to happen early evening. On the day itself we expect Windsor to be very busy. The council has worked with partners including Thames Valley Police to plan what will be a fantastic day of celebrations. As the Royal Borough of Windsor has said, work is well underway to ensure the occasion is a memorable and joyous one for all involved and they are working closely with a wide range of partners. Rail operators will be putting on extra trains and there will be park and walk and park and float services to help people get into town. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and book all travel arrangements early so they can make the most of their trip. I would very much appreciate the media’s assistance in spreading the message that visitors to Windsor will have a chance to be part of a very special day, but those who will be heading to the town really do need to plan their journeys carefully. The Royal Borough has confirmed that preparations include: A 6,000 space pre-booked car parking area at the Review Ground, just off the Long Walk; Food stalls and facilities, including big screens showing live footage of the wedding and Procession, on the Long Walk and in Alexandra Gardens; Viewing areas along the whole Procession Route (Castle Hill, High Street, Sheet Street, Kings Road, Albert Road and the Long Walk); A team of 140 Royal Borough Ambassadors have volunteered to help steward the event and assist visitors throughout the day; The town centre will be decorated with bunting and ceremonial banners along parts of the Procession Route and; Live entertainment from local groups throughout the town centre. In order to make sure everyone can get through expected traffic, the members of the public who have been invited to be inside the grounds of Windsor Castle for the wedding will be arriving from around 0900hrs. As a reminder, 1,200 people have been nominated by Lord Lieutenants from across the country for their work supporting their communities. Many of these people are sharing their stories with their local media and supporters – the couple are very pleased that their wedding has provided a platform to celebrate the inspiring work of community and youth leaders from around the UK. The first thing these people gathered will see on the morning of the wedding will be the arrival of guests between 0930hrs and 1100hrs. Guests will be arriving at the Round Tower by coach and will be seen walking to the South Door of St George’s Chapel. Members of The Royal Family will begin to arrive from 1120hrs, and enter St George’s Chapel via the Galilee Porch. Some will be on foot, and others will arrive by car. Prince Harry and his brother The Duke of Cambridge will arrive at St George’s Chapel most likely by foot and will enter via the West Steps. This will allow Their Royal Highnesses to acknowledge all of the people gathered in the Castle precincts, including the 200 charity representatives gathered in the Horseshoe Cloister at the bottom of the steps. Also around the time Royal Family arrivals begin, a pooled media facility will cover Ms. Markle and Ms. Ragland’s departure from the bride’s overnight location. We expect the journey into the Castle to take them along part of the Long Walk, allowing members of the public gathered there to see the car as it passes. There will also be a brief stop at the Castle where Ms. Ragland will head onto the Chapel and Ms. Markle will be joined by some of the Bridesmaids and Page Boys before she continues her journey to the church, where she will enter via the West Steps. The Service will take around an hour, and we look forward to announcing more details of this in the weeks ahead. After the Service has concluded, the newly married couple will process out of the church and acknowledge the 200 representatives of Prince Harry’s charities gathered in the Cloister. The couple are delighted that these people who will be such an important part of their official work in the years to come will be the first people they see after their wedding. As the couple step into their Carriage, close family members will gather on the West Steps to wave them off on their Procession. As a reminder, we expect the Carriage Procession to take just under 25 minutes. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are very much looking forward to this part of the day. It will be their chance to express their gratitude for the goodwill and warm wishes they have received from all quarters in the months since their engagement. Members of the congregation will file out of the church onto the grass to see the start of the Procession before walking to the reception at St George’s Hall. All guests will be attending the reception. The public elements of the event will be over at this stage. The final thing you can expect to see is the Bride and Groom departing Windsor Castle for the evening reception at Frogmore House. In the days that follow, we will facilitate interviews with some of those who have been involved in the wedding, as happened in 2011, for example with the hairdresser and dressmaker. The formal photographs, which will be taken by Alexi Lubomirski, will be released during the week......»»

Meghan Markle Has Some Seriously Strict Rules To Follow Now That She"s A Duchess!

Meghan Markle may've had the freedom to take selfies and sign autographs, but the newly minted Duchess of Sussex does not! As you surely know, on Saturday, the American actress officially became a member of the royal family thanks to her wedding to Prince Harry. Understandably, this means that Meghan's life has since drastically changed. Related: Harry [...] Meghan Markle may've had the freedom to take selfies and sign autographs, but the newly minted Duchess of Sussex does not! As you surely know, on Saturday, the American actress officially became a member of the royal family thanks to her wedding to Prince Harry. Understandably, this means that Meghan's life has since drastically changed. Related: Harry & Meghan Will Visit Thomas Markle In Mexico! In fact, there are all sorts of royal rules Miz Markle is now required to follow as a member of the Windsor family. We're being completely serious. Not only is Meghan's style now dictated by royal decree, but also the way she walks and talks. For a breakdown of all the royal restrictions, be sure to proceed (below)... 1. Under no circumstance is Meghan to take a selfie. It's said that the 36-year-old Duchess once told a fan that she and Harry are "not allowed to do selfies." Apparently, this rule is meant to encourage commoners to make eye contact and conversation with the royals. 2. As selfies are a no-no, so is personal social media usage. As you surely know, all news regarding Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton comes from the Kensington Royal Twitter and Instagram pages. Thus, ahead of her marriage into the family, Markle had her IG and lifestyle blog go dark. 3. Meghan is to keep her signature to herself. NO AUTOGRAPHS! In order to prevent forgery, the Suits alum is not allowed to sign any autographs. 4. Dark and/or colored nail polish is prohibited. This explains why Meghan wore Essie's Ballet Slippers pink polish at the wedding. Oh, and it's also Queen Elizabeth's favorite color. 5. Royals must ALWAYS travel with mourning clothes. This rule was instated after the then Princess Elizabeth and husband Prince Philip were blindsided by King George VI's death while abroad in Africa. The twosome were forced to travel from Africa to the United Kingdom in regular clothes. Nowadays, royals must always have a set of funeral clothes packed in order to be respectful. 6. No matter what occasion, female family members must always curtsy to the Queen. At official events, Meghan is also expected to curtsy to anyone who outranks her. 7. Short hemlines are a no-go! It's believed that the Queen disapproves of skirts that are more than an inch or two above the knee. So Meghan better toss out those tiny red carpet numbers from her Hollywood days. 8. Speaking of Hollywood, Meghan seemingly can no longer pursue an acting career. She represents the British people now, so she has an image to uphold (and we doubt an acting gig in Tinseltown will help with that). 9. Meghan is discouraged from voting in British elections. Although UK Parliament says that it's not against the law in Britain for royalty to vote, it's viewed to be unconstitutional. 10. Markle can no longer cross her legs -- in public, at least. She'll be expected to perfect the "Duchess Slant" made famous by Princess Diana and proudly carried on by the Duchess of Cambridge. 11. Meghan will have to throw away her wedges, as the Queen despises them! 12. Assigned seating for life! At any royal family gathering, Meghan will always be expected to sit next to husband Harry. 13. Dinnertime is at 8:30 pm! When dining with Harry's monarch grandmother, Meghan will have to be ready at 8:30 pm to eat. The meal will last no later than 10 pm. 14. Also, Meghan isn't allowed to eat before OR after the Queen. Guests dining with the Queen can't start eating until the monarch begins chowing down. However, once she is done, so is the rest of the dinner table. 15. Meghan can't just walk into a royal room. During family functions, there's a strict entrance line, which is as follows: Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Duchess Camila, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and then most likely, Harry and Meghan. 16. If the Queen's awake, so is Meghan! If Meghan crashes with Queen Elizabeth at all, she is required to stay up until the longtime royal falls asleep. 17. Monopoly has been banned! Supposedly, the Duke of York Prince Andrew previously revealed that the royals are "not allowed to play Monopoly at home," as "it gets too vicious." 18. In order to avoid food poisoning, Meghan can no longer enjoy shellfish. Now, not EVERYONE in the royal family adheres to this rule, but the Queen still does!! Man, oh man. We hope Meghan has this list memorized!! We're wishing her only the best as she embarks on her new royal life! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Royal Shade!! Queen Elizabeth II Reportedly Called Camilla Parker Bowles A "Wicked Woman" — After "Several Martinis"!

All families have drama, even the royal ones! And thanks to Tom Bower's new biography, Rebel Prince: The Power and Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, fans are getting some insider deets about the longstanding beef between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles' second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. And thanks to Tom Bower's new biography, Rebel Prince: The Power and Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, fans are getting some insider deets about the longstanding beef between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles' second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. Related: Harry & Meghan Are Having A Spring-Themed Wedding Cake! In case you forgot, Prince William's poppa carried on a lengthy affair with Camilla while married to the now late Princess Diana. Understandably, this fact made the British monarch disapprove of Parker Bowles, especially when Charles wanted to marry her following his ex wife's death. According to an excerpt from the book, which was shared by Dailymail.com on Tuesday, the Prince of Wales asked his royal mother about welcoming Camilla into the royal family during the summer of 1998. Apparently, the queen uttered a pretty harsh response... Per Bower, the Windsor matriarch had drunk "several martinis, and to Charles's surprise she replied forcefully: She would not condone his adultery, nor forgive Camilla for not leaving Charles alone to allow his marriage to recover." DAMNNNN. Oh, and the queen didn't stop there, as she went on to call Camilla "that wicked woman" and informed Charles that she wanted "nothing to do with her." In response to his mother's shade, Charles "tearfully" called his girlfriend and informed her of the royal family hate. Although Charles had aunt Princess Margaret's support during this time, the queen would not budge on her stance. It wasn't until the queen's mother died that Elizabeth softened at the idea of making Camilla a member of their family. By 2005, the twosome had secured the queen's blessing and finally wed. Of course, since both Charles and Camilla's first marriages failed due to their liaison, they were not permitted to marry in the Church of England. Instead, the pair married at Windsor Town Hall and received a blessing at St. George's Chapel. Nonetheless, the now Duchess of Cornwall was left on the outside until her wedding day. Related: Meghan Was Kidnapped As Part Of Her Royal Training! Unlike Meghan Markle, who has been invited to all sorts of official outings, Camilla wasn't asked to attend ceremonies or dinners prior to the nuptials. Bower also claims Elizabeth "even hinted that there was very little special Welsh gold left to make Camilla's wedding ring." Reportedly, the queen also stopped Charles' close aide from planning a lavish reception. The book states Charles wallowed "in gloom" while discussing his mother's lack of an abdication plan. When asked if the monarch would EVER step down, the father of two is said to have answered: "Can you imagine her looking out of the window of Clarence House and waving to me as I paraded in a carriage down The Mall?" Yikes. Thankfully, the feud has lightened over the years, with Elizabeth and Camilla even spending time together at official events. The queen's stance on marriage has changed quite a bit, too!! We know this to be true, as QEII couldn't be more fond of Prince Harry's American divorcée love -- and is letting them wed in the Church of England. All we can say is, PHEW!! Queen Elizabeth II "Hit Hard" By The Passing Of Her Last Corgi!

On Sunday, the last of the monarch's beloved corgis passed away at the age of 14. As you surely know, the 92-year-old has kept faithful pups as her companions since she was a young girl. Related: Meghan's Psychic Predicted She'd End Up In London Willow the corgi descended from Elizabeth's original dog Susan, so the passing certainly marks the end of an era. Back when she was a young princess, Elizabeth was introduced to the corgi breed by her father King George VI. The Windsor family's OG pup was a corgi, named Dookie, who joined the royals in 1933. On her 18th birthday, Elizabeth was gifted Susan -- and the rest is history. Willow's death comes over a year after the Queen's other beloved dog Holly died at the royal residence in Balmoral, Scotland. According to Daily Mail, Willow was put down due to a cancer-related illness. Unsurprisingly, the Queen has been "hit hard" by Willow's death. On the dog's sad passing, royal reporter Richard Kay noted: "It really does feel like the end of an era." A courtier shared a similar sentiment, as they told Kay: "Willow represents a significant thread running through the Queen's life from her teenage years to her 90s. To think that the last one has gone is something of a milestone." So sad. However, the Queen isn't left completely without pets. It's said that the Windsor matriarch adopted a dog named Whisper after the death of one of the gamekeepers at the Sandringham estate. She's also said to have two corgi-dachshund mixes, named Vulcan and Candy. Nonetheless, we mourn Willow's passing alongside the Queen. All dogs go to heaven, right??? [Image via WENN.].....»»

On Wednesday, it was reported that Prince Harry brought Meghan Markle to Buckingham Palace last week for a two-on-one visit with Queen Elizabeth. Ooh, go on!! QUIZ: Are You A Royal Family Expert?? According to Daily Mail, the love birds stopped by the British sovereign's London palace for a private tea with the Queen. It's said the twosome, who have been dating for at least 15 months, arrived at the royal residence in a Ford Galaxy station wagon with blacked out windows. Clearly, Meghan and Harry are trying to keep a low profile. Per the report's columnist Richard Kay, upon their arrival, Meghan and Harry were "whisked up to the Queen's private sitting room" for an hour visit. That's some serious face time, girl!! Although, there are reports that claim Elizabeth and Meghan met during a visit earlier this year to Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Later in the evening, Harry performed some royal duties as he accepted a posthumous award on behalf of his late mother, Princess Diana. The prize at the Attitude magazine awards was to commemorate the late princess' HIV/AIDS activism. We're sure Harry's mother would be so proud of everything he's accomplished -- especially his mature relationship with Meghan. Now, obviously, there's major significance to the Suits actress' sit down with the Queen. Currently, Harry is fifth in line to the throne, which means he needs the Queen's permission to tie the knot. The ginger prince will be pushed to sixth in line when Kate Middleton gives birth to her third child with Prince William! Regardless, locking in his grandmother's approval isn't expected to be a problem, as the Queen simply "adores" Harry. One insider previously noted: "If Harry asks for something, she would say yes as she adores him." All signs are pointing to an engagement as, in addition to this visit, Harry and Meghan made their public debut as a couple last month at the Invictus Games in Toronto. At the event, Harry spent some SERIOUS quality time with Markle's momma, Doria. Not to mention, spokespeople for Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace both declined to comment on the report. Now, isn't that VERY suspicious??? Honestly, we're just SO ready for these two to be engaged already!!! [Image via Euan Cherry/WENN.].....»»
