Not long over the move was made, it was announced that Ron Howard would step in to direct the film. The next Jurassic World movie now has a title. A new poster arrived online via Twitter touting Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which is expected during the summer of 2018. NBC Universal President Michael Edelstein reports that there is a Downton Abbey movie in the works. “It’s been in the works for some time. We are working on getting the script right and we’ve got to figure out how to get the [cast] together,” stated Edelstein. It’s his hope that the film will start shooting next year. Kyle Chandler and Ryan Gosling will co-star in First Man, the new film about Neil Armstrong’s moon landing. Gosling’s La La Land director Damien Chazelle will oversee the film. Gosling plays Armstrong, while Chandler plays Deke Slayton, one of the original NASA Mercury Seven astronauts. Deadline reports that the Joel Edgerton-written and starring film Boy Erased has been picked up by Focus Features. The film tells the story of a teen boy (Lucas Hedges) who is the son of a Baptist preacher who is outed to his parents and pressured into attending a gay conversion camp. Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman reportedly being courted for supporting roles. Writer-director Dan Gilroy is tapping leading man Jake Gyllenhaal and leading woman Rene Russo in a still untitled film set in the art world. It’s the year of Carrie Coon! On the heels of the season (and possible series) finales of Fargo and The Leftovers, the actress has joined the cast of Widows, the film centering on the wives of three robbers who decide to finish their husband’s job after they get killed during a heist. Deadline reports that Paul Feig will direct the thriller which starts shooting in Toronto in August. The movie centers on a mommy blogger whose best friend suddenly vanishes. Emily Ratajkowski feels pretty. The model-turned-actress has joined the cast of the Amy Schumer-starring film I Feel Pretty. The comedy also has cast Michelle Williams and Rafe Spall. The last piece of the cast has been set for the ensemble film Tag. Leslie Bibb is joining the film, which centers on a group of friends who have become the focus of a Wall Street Journal article after playing a game of tag for over 30 years. Jeremy Renner, Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, Annabelle Wallis, Rashida Jones and Isla Fisher have also been cast. Deadline reports that Eli Roth will direct The House With a Clock in Its Walls for Amblin Entertainment, with Jack Black attached to star. The film is based on a series of books, with this particular story centering on a recently orphaned boy who discovers a world of hidden passages and mystery in his uncle’s old house. Neve Campbell will star opposite Dwayne Johnson in the new film Skyscraper. The 3D action thriller has Johnson as a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who assesses the security for skyscrapers. On Wednesday, after getting a blood cot surgically removed "above his left eye" last week, John McCain revealed he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The Senator and his family "are reviewing further treatment options." Related: John McCain Just Called Donald Trump A Dictator! According to a statement from the Mayo Clinic: "On Friday, July 14, Sen. John McCain underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot from above his left eye at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot. Scanning done since the procedure (a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision) shows that the tissue of concern was completely resected by imaging criteria. The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation." Even with this devastating news, doctors say the 80-year-old recovered "amazingly well" from surgery and "his underlying health is excellent." The politician's office also released the following: "Senator McCain appreciates the outpouring of support he has received over the last few days. He is in good spirits as he continues to recover at home with his family in Arizona. He is grateful to the doctors and staff at Mayo Clinic for their outstanding care, and is confident that any future treatment will be effective. Further consultations with Senator McCain's Mayo Clinic care team will indicate when he will return to the United States Senate." Daughter Meghan McCain released the following statement on Twitter where she is asking for "prayers of those of you who understand this all too well."
