NBC also added that this is the “first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.” Savannah and Hoda said they had just learned the news this morning. “This is a sad morning at ‘Today’ and NBC News,” Savannah said. “As I’m sure you can understand, we are devastated. I’m heartbroken for Matt. He is my dear, dear colleague.” Lauer, 59, was named as an anchor at the Today show back in January of 1997. Matt Lauer has been terminated from NBC News. Dear Colleagues, On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident. Our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender. We are deeply saddened by this turn of events. But we will face it together as a news organization – and do it in as transparent a manner as we can. To that end, Noah and I will be meeting with as many of you as possible throughout the day today to answer your questions. Andy.....»»

More Than A Dozen Women Come Forward With Sexual Assault Allegations Against Porn Veteran Ron Jeremy — "He Doesn"t Hear No"

Ron Jeremy is the latest celebrity to be called out for alleged sexual assault. In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once [...] Ron Jeremy is the latest celebrity to be called out for alleged sexual assault. In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once at a photo shoot and another time at his apartment, in December of 1997. She told the mag of him allegedly cornering her in a bathroom: "He was like, 'I need to look at your ass so I can get hard for the photo shoot.' Then it turned into him basically sticking it in without me knowing it was happening. I said flat-out no. It stopped, but it didn't stop soon enough after I said no ... During the whole photo shoot I was thinking, 'Was I just raped? What the fuck just happened?' [But] by the time the shoot was done, I had it in my head that I had somehow exaggerated it and it was an honest mistake ... He just kinda keeps going and pretends like you didn't say anything." When asked why she didn't report the crime, Steele replied: "I was pretty promiscuous. I was a stripper. I couldn't prove it." Adding: "He hides behind other women's scarlet letters, is what he does. [He] know[s] if someone's a porn star and they say they've been raped, people aren't gonna take it seriously." Another adult performer, Kendra Sunderland, said Jeremy sucked her breasts without permission at a Dallas expo in 2015: "People expect this from him. If I went and got mad on Twitter, people would say, 'That's Ron.' But if I said a fan did it, they'd say 'That's not OK, that's crossing a line.'" As you can probably imagine, it's very difficult for sex workers to come forward with their stories considering the stigma and gray areas that are involved when it comes to being in the adult entertainment industry. Not to mention, sex workers who come forward are "likely to be blamed or disbelieved by law enforcement." With that said, Rolling Stone spoke with several people in the industry who said Jeremy's behavior is not standard. Popular performer Julia Ann said: "I think Ron is an anomaly, and you'd be hard-pressed to say there's any other person who's been able to publicly sexually harass or assault people and get away with it. It's one thing for someone to do it in their hotel room or their condo or their office or their car, but he can do it in the middle of a convention ... When there are dollar signs involved, the lines [of consent] actually get drawn much more distinctly." In 2003, Jeremy was investigated for criminal sexual conduct after a fan alleged he held her down and raped her in his Michigan hotel room. Charges were not pressed. Also in 2003, performer Ginger Lynn said Jeremy raped her while they were on location shooting a film in 1983. In 2007, another fan told police the porn star reached inside her bra, pulled out her breast, and signed it without her permission at an expo in Miami. Jeremy told TMZ at the time: "I probably signed about 150 boobs that weekend, all of which I sign 'RJ' with a heart.'" There are just a handful of the many explosive accusations against Ron for years of abuse. Related: Sylvester Stallone Allegations Bring Half-Sister's Rape Claims Back Into The Spotlight In a statement to the magazine in response to the many allegations, Jeremy said in full: "Let me first say, that I'm fully in support of the women and men who have been coming forward about being sexually assaulted. These real predators need to be taken down. My reputation is currently being smeared by these old allegations that have already been investigated and dismissed. However, I understand how social change works, and if my reputation has to get a bit tarnished along the way for the better treatment of women, and men, so be it. I will be there to support all people, men and women, that have bravely come forward to attack this systemic problem. As for the allegations against me, these allegations have been online and in print for quite sometime. This is not new or breaking news. I'm shocked you guys are picking this up after it's been reported on over and over by other publications and has been proven over and over to be false. I have never and would never rape anyone. All serious allegations have been investigated by police and dismissed by judges, as have most of the accusations of "Groping". I have never been charged nor spent one day in court for any of this. And these are old allegations. Check, Anything about me appearing in court or in jail, is public record. I was only arrested 20 years ago when I was fighting for Freedom Of Speech with Hal Freeman. The police who looked into the groping charges have always said that they watch the video from the event or whatever and that I did nothing wrong or illegal. They then ask if I want to press charges against The people making false accusations. I never have. As for the charges of Groping, I say yes, I AM A GROPER. And by groper, I mean I get paid to show up to these shows, events, and photo shoots and touch the people and they touch me. I'm not the young stud I was, but I still draw a crowd. And we are talking about things that are within reason, in front of police officer's and security that are always there as well as the tons of cameras And the general public. But seriously, if you were going to be around Ron Jeremy, wouldn't you assume that I'd be a little bit touchy Feely? Yes. This is what I do for a living. I am not Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Weinstein, or Cosby. For over 40 years fans and fellow performers pay money and wait in long lines to meet me. They want autographs, pictures, to flirt with me, physically grab me in different areas (usually my clothed penis), they ask me to touch them and many ask to have me sign their boobs. When I take photos with fans and other performers at these conventions, signings or events, I do sometimes kiss people on the lips or the cheek, sign boobs or whatever they want. There is "put on" flirting and touching for the photos. This is exactly what people pay me for at conventions. The female performers flirt and touch too. It's what we do. If you watch these videos that Ginger Banks put out of me "groping," you see that everyone in the videos is laughing and "groping" too. That I'm not running up to them, they come to me. If anyone was ever made to feel uncomfortable by ANY of our interactions, I'm deeply sorry. That was never my intention and it breaks my heart in half. I hope that everyone reading this keeps in mind that I do tons of these conventions and adult signings. I take pictures with about 500,000 people each all over the world and have every year, for 40 years. These touching complaints are the exact same thing everyone else stood in line for. They couldn't be happier. I have never raped anyone. If anyone continues those claims, that is defamation. I will sue them in court. I'm not saying that I never met these people or interacted with them. I don't remember most of them, how could I? I may have seen hundreds people on those days. A girl said that I took her into a back room at a convention? Now this I remember. No one pushed anyone anywhere, she and a girl friend of hers asked if they could come in to the back tent with me. "Back room" was actually a small tent where the performers went to relax and eat crafty. There were seven other people in the small tent including security guard. And we took some sexy photos with each other as people looked on or looked at their phones. If I did anything wrong, that security guard who works for the convention, would have taken me down and called the police. And someone claimed that in hedonism in Jamaica, which is a nudist swingers resort, I tried to massage their leg years ago? Why is this even in an article? I am very happy that the scum bags of the earth are being taken down. They deserve it. But these allegations are pure lies or buyers remorse. In 40 years, I've never been punched by a boyfriend or anyone ever. I have been heartbroken over these allegations. Not because it affects me or my business, I can take that, but because they are lies and there are actual women and men out there Who have been victims of serious sexual assault, and so on, that are trying to get their voices heard. Again, It does bother me that there might be women out there that had some buyers remorse after our interactions. But I did nothing wrong or out of the ordinary for these conventions or events. These events are supposed to be a fun time. That video that Ginger Banks made looks like a pro Ron Jeremy video if you turn off the sound. Everyone in the videos is having fun with me. This really is a non-story. However I'm glad I had a chance to speak my side." Thoughts??? SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Matt Lauer FIRED From NBC News Following A "Detailed Complaint" About Alleged "Inappropriate Sexual Behavior"

On Wednesday, Lauer's (now former) Today show cohost Savannah Guthrie announced that Matt had been fired following a detailed complaint that accused the TV personality of "inappropriate sexual behavior." Man, oh man. Related: Eric Trump Tried To Defend Donald's "Pocahontas" Slur Guthrie started out Wednesday's show by reading a statement from NBC News chairman Andrew Lack: "On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company's standards. As a result, we've decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he's been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident." Intense stuff. Guthrie continued with Lack's announcement: "Our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender. We are deeply saddened by this turn of events. But we will face it together as a news organization – and do it in as transparent a manner as we can. To that end, Noah and I will be meeting with as many of you as possible throughout the day today to answer your questions." Well, that's that. Unsurprisingly, Guthrie was obviously shaken up about Matt's overnight ousting. Still, alongside Hoda Kotb, the celebrated journalist tackled the unsavory news head on. Following the chairman's words, the 45-year-old anchor relayed: "We just learned this moments ago, just this morning. As I'm sure you can imagine, we are devastated and we are still processing all of this. And I will tell you right now, we do not know more than what I just shared with you. But we will be covering this story as reporters, as journalists. I'm sure we will be learning more details in the hours and days to come, and we promise we will share that with you." What a terribly uncomfortable situation this is for the entire NBC News family. She added: "We are heartbroken. I'm heartbroken for Matt – he is my dear, dear friend and my partner, and he has been loved by many, many people here. And I'm heartbroken for the brave colleague who came forward to tell her story, and any other women who have their own stories to tell." Thankfully, Guthrie has since promised to be "transparent" as she plans to continue covering Matt's firing. As for Hoda, she dubbed the current situation a "tough morning," and noted: "It's hard to reconcile with what we are hearing with the man who we know, who walks in this building every single day. We were both woken up with the news, kind of pre-dawn, and we're trying to process it and trying to make sense of it – and it'll take some time for that." So sad. CBS News has suspended the veteran journalist and PBS will hold production of his show following the explosive report by The Washington Post. In the report, multiple women claim Rose made lewd phone calls, walked around naked in their presence, or groped their private parts as they worked for or aspired to work for the Charlie Rose show from the late 1990s to as recent as 2011. Related: Armie Hammer SLAMS Casey Affleck's Oscar Win Five of the eight women spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of Rose's power in the industry, though most agreed that Rose switched between flattery and fury in his encounters with them. An unidentified woman who said Rose groped her when she was an intern explained: "Everybody is terrified of him. He creates this environment of constant fear. And then he'll shine a spotlight on you and make you feel amazing." Five women claimed Rose put his hands on their legs, sometimes their upper thigh, in what they took as a test to gauge their reactions. Two said while traveling with Rose, he emerged from the shower and walked naked in front of them. One said he groped her buttocks at a staff party. The 75-year-old reporter issued a response to the allegations, apologizing for the times he acted "insensitively" but maintained he "always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings." Making a point to note that he believes not all of the allegations are true, Rose told the Post: "In my 45 years in journalism, I have prided myself on being an advocate for the careers of the women with whom I have worked. Nevertheless, in the past few days, claims have been made about my behavior toward some former female colleagues. "It is essential that these women know I hear them and that I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior. I am greatly embarrassed. I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate. I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realize I was mistaken. "I have learned a great deal as a result of these events, and I hope others will too. All of us, including me, are coming to a newer and deeper recognition of the pain caused by conduct in the past, and have come to a profound new respect for women and their lives." Sounds like a teleprompter-y apology to us. Nevertheless, here are a few of the women's stories... Related: Jeremy Piven Took A Lie Detector Test After Misconduct Allegations! Reah Bravo was an intern and then associate producer for Rose's PBS show starting in 2007. She recalled multiple sexual advances while working for Rose at his private New York estate or while traveling with him. Now looking through the lens of 2017, she understands what those moments were, telling the paper: "It has taken 10 years and a fierce moment of cultural reckoning for me to understand these moments for what they were. He was a sexual predator, and I was his victim." But she's not the only one. Kyle Godfrey-Ryan was one of Rose's assistants in the mid-aughts. She recalled over a dozen times where she says Rose walked nude in front of her while she worked in one of his NYC homes. She said he even repeatedly called the then-21-year-old late at night to describe his fantasies of her swimming naked in his pool as he watched from the bedroom. Related: Natalie Portman Tricked Into Private Plane Ride ALONE With Producer After ignoring the nudity and the calls, Godfrey-Ryan said she soon reported the incidents to management, but allegedly was brushed off and made to feel "like I was being a dramatic little girl." Eventually, she stopped reporting the incidents to management and confided to a mutual friend outside the show about Rose. The friend told Rose, and Rose reportedly fired her. She explained: "He took me out to lunch and told me how embarrassed he was, how he didn't treat me like that. It was really about how I got it wrong, and, obviously, I couldn't work there anymore." Sounds like there's a pattern. Does this mean even more stories will come out against the CBS veteran? We'll find out soon enough. Head over to The Washington Post to read each woman's story. Five Women Detail James Franco"s Alleged Sexually Exploitative Behavior To The Los Angeles Times

James Franco may be downplaying the sexual misconduct allegations brought against him, but his alleged victims are standing firm. As you've likely heard, amid The Disaster Artist star's big win at the Golden Globes on Sunday, several women called Franco a hypocrite for wearing a Time's Up pin as they claimed he had previously been sexually inappropriate with them. While James has since made the press rounds to defend his innocence, five women have spoken to The Los Angeles Times to detail their experiences with the A-lister. Related: Ronan Farrow Talks The Abuse Allegations Against Woody Allen Sarah Tither-Kaplan, who attended the acting school founded by Franco and starred in several of his projects, said James' public Time's Up support at the Globes "was like a slap in [her] face." Of the five women who spoke with The Times, four claimed to be ex students and one noted that James was once her "mentor." On her working experience with the Freak & Geeks alum, Tither-Kaplan noted: "I feel there was an abuse of power, and there was a culture of exploiting non-celebrity women, and a culture of women being replaceable." Having taken Franco's Sex Scenes class, Sarah jumped at the opportunity to work professionally with her teacher. Sadly, the experience was not what the actress expected. Apparently, while filming an orgy scene with the Ivy League educated star three years ago, James removed the protective plastic guards that covered the actresses' vaginas amid simulating oral sex on them. Also, per Tither-Kaplan, one actress was sent home after she balked at James' direction about acting topless: "I got it in my head pretty quickly that, OK, you don't say ‘no' to this guy." Although, to James' credit, he did apologize to Sarah amid the Harvey Weinstein scandal. The complainant confessed: "I want to give him credit for at least being open to communicating with me. I felt that he was still not really taking accountability for the environment on the sets." Man, oh man. Actress Violet Paley also vocalized an upsetting encounter with James, as she opened up about the romantic relationship she had with him in 2016. According to Violet, James pressured her to perform oral sex while they were sitting in a car. She relayed: "I was talking to him, all of a sudden his penis was out. I got really nervous, and I said, ‘Can we do this later?' He was kind of nudging my head down, and I just didn't want him to hate me, so I did it." Eventually, Violet stopped performing the sexual act as she told Franco she spotted someone near the vehicle. On how she'd handle the situation today, Paley said: "I would say, ‘No, stop, get out of my car.' The power dynamic was really off." Paley reached out to Franco about the incident, but he defended that he hadn't done "anything illegal." He also insisted that he was a "changed man" and acknowledged it was wrong of him to pursue a sexual relationship with someone who was recovering from substance abuse. Related: Here's What Tommy Wiseau Would've Said At The Globes… Two additional students, from a course taught at Playhouse West, confirmed that they've had negative on set experiences with the industry vet. Both women, named Hilary Dusome and Natalie Chmiel, have claimed that Franco became angry when actresses on set refused to be topless while filming. Dusome recalled: "I felt like I was selected for something based on my hard work and my merit, and when I realized it was because I have nice [breasts], it was pretty clear that was not the case. I don't think he started teaching with bad intentions, but he went down a bad path and damaged a lot of people in the process." Smh. Chmiel confirmed that James got "visibly angry," and added: "He just took advantage of our eagerness to work and be a part of something bigger. We were all these up-and-coming actors who were so hopeful." Although more than a dozen students have vouched for Franco's acting school, named Studio 4, enough performers have expressed dissatisfaction with James' teaching method. In addition to claims that the 39-year-old would fall asleep during class, a few former students have suggested that Studio 4 falsely promised to funnel actors into the superstar's personal projects. Los Angeles based actress Devyn LaBella shared: "They would tell us that smaller parts in their projects were being held exclusively for students — often they were opportunities for extra work or parts that required nudity. I didn't have agency representation at the time, so I thought, ‘Well, I'm not going to be able to get into good auditions, so this might be my opportunity.'" After uploading auditions to a website, she admitted that no one she knew ever heard back. A woman, named Katie Ryan, suggested that Franco seemingly implied there were roles for those who performed sexual favors on him. She stated: "[James] would always make everybody think there were possible roles on the table if we were to perform sexual acts or take off our shirts." Allegedly, for years, Ryan received audition requests from James to play "a prostitute or a hooker." How awful. Unsurprisingly, Franco's lawyer Michael Plonsker denied each of the troubling allegations and advised The Times to refer to James' denial on The Late Show. Not to mention, Rabbit Bandini co-owner Vince Jolivette defended that Studio 4 "was always run professionally." We're sure this isn't the last we've heard about this scandal, be sure to check back for any updates. [Image via Regina Wagner/Future Image/WENN.].....»»

Naturally, the question many have is, how did no one at NBC know anything about the behavior of one of their biggest on-air personalities? Video: The 16 Women Who Have Accused Donald Trump Of Sexual Harassment And Assault That's a question NBC News chairman Andy Lack has now addressed in a staff memo. On Friday morning, Lack told employees about some changes to sexual harassment training that would help prevent future incidents. He also noted NBC had begun "a thorough and timely review" of all the "appalling" behavior they have now heard about. But will they uncover bad acts by other employees as well?? Read the entire internal memo, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter (below): "Dear Colleagues, The most vital thing we've done since terminating Matt Lauer's employment on Tuesday night has been spending time listening to your concerns, your feedback, your ideas on how we move forward as an organization. As I said in my note on Wednesday: our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender. Many of you have asked what we are doing to learn as much as we can about the circumstances around Matt Lauer's appalling behavior, why this was able to happen, and why it wasn't reported sooner. This week we saw that when an employee comes forward to report misconduct, the system works. The complaint is quickly assessed and meaningful action is taken. But we also learned that we must do a much better job of making people feel empowered to take that crucial first step of reporting bad behavior. To that end, I have three things to share with you. A team of the most experienced NBCUniversal Legal and Human Resources leaders have begun a thorough and timely review of what happened and what we can do to build a culture of greater transparency, openness and respect for each other. At the conclusion of the review we will share what we've learned, no matter how painful, and act on it. Second — while our company has had mandatory online training for all employees on sexual harassment and other workplace issues, we need to do better. Therefore in addition to what is already in place, the News Division is launching an immediate effort to implement in-person training on sexual harassment awareness and appropriate behavior in the workplace. We will share more details on this effort very shortly. And third — we need to keep communicating. In addition to the meetings we've had this week with various show teams and departments, we are encouraging the leaders of every group to have smaller, more informal gatherings to further discuss this crucial issue now and on an ongoing basis. And, as we have done regularly over the last few months, but cannot do often enough, we want to remind you again that we encourage all employees to speak up and raise any concerns you have about inappropriate conduct you have experienced or observed. We also want to reinforce with our managers and leaders their responsibility to bring forward concerns about inappropriate workplace behavior they see or hear about. It is always the right thing to do, and any concerns raised should be done without fear of retaliation, and with full assurance that they will be investigated. Here are the multiple avenues available. You can also find these details on the intranet NBCUNow. Your manager or another news leader If you have something on your mind your manager often is in the best position to resolve your concern quickly. If you are not comfortable talking to your direct manager you can talk to another news leader. HR Reach out to your HR Manager or another member of the news HR team. Broadway Star Ben Vereen Apologizes After Being Accused Of Sexual Assault By Multiple Actresses During 2015 Production Of Hair

Ugh. A new report from Daily News accuses Broadway star Ben Vereen of sexual assault from multiple women during the 2015 production of Hair. A new report from Daily News accuses Broadway star Ben Vereen of sexual assault from multiple women during the 2015 production of Hair. Actresses allege the 71-year-old actor would forcefully kiss and hug them (sometimes with an erect penis), strip naked, and invite them to his home for "private rehearsals," where he would coerce them into performing sexual acts. Related: Jake Paul Caught Saying The N-Word Two women in particular -- Kaitlyn Terpstra, now 24, and Kim, 23 -- both say Vereen lured them into his hot tub naked and forced himself on them. Terpstra remembered: "He gave this whole speech about how nudity was not inherently sexual. ‘That's not what it's about.' He made me feel that if I wasn't mature enough to understand that, I wasn't mature enough to be in ‘Hair.'" Kim added: "He basically told both of us, ‘Get over yourself. Nudity doesn't have to be sexual.' If we asked questions or hesitated, we were the ones making it weird." Kim also claimed the longtime actor asked her to perform oral sex while in the hot tub, which she did: "I just think at the time, I didn't feel like I had a choice. I didn't want to do it, but I was intimidated and scared. He was being very intense and angry. He seemed very angry and offended. I had seen him behave this way toward others in the tribe during circle. I just felt powerless because I thought I really needed his help and guidance. And when he said nudity doesn't have to be sexual, I was like, ‘OK, maybe this isn't even sexual.' Now I understand it was a power play. It was so calculated. It was like we were putty in his hands." She later became involved in a relationship with Vereen, during which one night she says he began having sex with her while she was sleeping. A third actress, Ariella Pizarro, also reported Vereen pressing his penis against her and kissing her without permission: "We were in a music rehearsal, and he was just walking around, and then he walked up and kissed me on the lips. It was so weird. We all knew ‘Hair' was going to be a different kind of production, like in the 60s, but he didn't even ask first. He just kissed me. I was shocked, for sure." Vereen has since apologized for his disturbing behavior, telling the outlet: "I would like to apologize directly to the female cast members of the musical Hair for my inappropriate conduct when I directed the production in 2015. While it was my intention to create an environment that replicated the themes of that musical during the rehearsal process, I have since come to understand that it is my conduct, not my intentions, which are relevant here. So I am not going to make any excuses because the only thing that matters here is acknowledging and apologizing for the effects of my conduct on the lives of these women. Going forward, my having come to terms with my past conduct will inform all my future interactions not only with women, but with all individuals. I hope these women will find it in their hearts to accept my sincere apology and forgive me." Hm. What do U make of his apology?? SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via Rob Rich/WENN.].....»»

Dylan Farrow Calls Out Hollywood For Supporting Woody Allen Despite Her Longstanding Claims He Molested Her As A Child

While the #MeToo movement has sparked the takedowns of many powerful predators in Hollywood, one accuser has still not seen the justice she has so long deserved. That accuser is Woody Allen's daughter Dylan Farrow, who called out Hollywood stars for continuing to work with the iconic filmmaker despite her longstanding allegation that he molested her as a child in 1992. Related: Harvey Weinstein Accused Of Racketeering To Cover Up Assaults In an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times, Dylan blasted stars like Kate Winslet, Blake Lively, and Greta Gerwig for condemning the actions of Harvey Weinstein while keeping silent about the claims surrounding the Annie Hall director, whom they have all worked with over the past few years. In the piece titled Why Has The #MeToo Revolution Spared Woody Allen?, the subject's adopted daughter wrote: "We are in the midst of a revolution. From allegations against studio heads and journalists, to hotel maids recounting abuses on the job, women are exposing the truth and men are losing their jobs. But the revolution has been selective." Allen has repeatedly denied Dylan's allegations, suggesting that her mother Mia Farrow planted false memories in her brain out of bitterness (claims that Dylan denies). The allegations were investigated by sex-abuse experts at Yale-New Haven Hospital and no charges were ever filed. Related: Alec Baldwin Doesn't Want 'Innocent People' Hurt By Hollywood's Sexual Misconduct Problem Despite all that, Dylan maintains the filmmaker's "pattern of inappropriate behavior" with her says it all, continuing: "Allen denies my allegations. But this is not a "he said, child said" situation. Allen's pattern of inappropriate behavior — putting his thumb in my mouth, climbing into bed with me in his underwear, constant grooming and touching — was witnessed by friends and family members. At the time of the alleged assault, he was in therapy for his conduct towards me. Three eyewitnesses substantiated my account, including a babysitter who saw Allen with his head buried in my lap after he had taken off my underwear. Allen refused to take a polygraph administered by the Connecticut state police." No other allegations of sexual misconduct have come out against Allen, but Dylan says her accusation shouldn't be invalidated or ignored just because it is "still just too complicated, too difficult, too ‘dangerous,' to use [Blake] Lively's term, to confront." Related: Lorde Totally Predicted Hollywood's Predator Purge! Reiterating her claims -- not a word of which have changed over the years -- to an audience that now believes victims, she added: "I have long maintained that when I was 7 years old, Woody Allen led me into an attic, away from the babysitters who had been instructed never to leave me alone with him. He then sexually assaulted me. I told the truth to the authorities then, and I have been telling it, unaltered, for more than 20 years. Why is it that Harvey Weinstein and other accused celebrities have been cast out by Hollywood, while Allen recently secured a multimillion-dollar distribution deal with Amazon, greenlit by former Amazon Studios executive Roy Price before he was suspended over sexual misconduct allegations? Allen's latest feature, Wonder Wheel, was released theatrically on Dec. 1." Wow. Time to cough up an actual response, Kate... Allen had no comment on Dylan's LA Times piece, but his rep released the following statement to EW: "Dylan Farrow's allegations against Woody Allen, which she first made 25 years ago, have been thoroughly examined by law enforcement officials and child welfare investigators. The investigators concluded unambiguously that Dylan Farrow was not sexually abused. No charges were ever filed, and the reason is simple: because Woody Allen is innocent." We'll see if that holds up. Read Dylan's full op-ed HERE. [Image via Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.].....»»

On Thursday, the Old Vic theater in London reported 20 "personal testimonies" detailing "allegations of a range of inappropriate behavior" relating to the 58-year-old. As you may know, the (former) House Of Cards star served as the West End institution's artistic director from 2004 to 2015. The allegations from 16 staffers and four others stem from incidents occurring between 1995 and 2013. Related: Bryan Cranston Thinks There Might Be 'A Way Back' For Sexual Abusers According to the theater, all but one case were unreported. Trustees had been unaware of the allegations and none were made by people who had been minors at the time. The press release said: "In all but one case, those individuals alleging inappropriate behaviour by Kevin Spacey did not come forward at the time or asked that no formal action be taken. Despite having the appropriate escalation processes in place, it was claimed that those affected felt unable to raise concerns and that Kevin Spacey operated without sufficient accountability. This is clearly unacceptable and The Old Vic truly apologises for not creating an environment or culture where people felt able to speak freely." Now, the theater is determined to create a safe space: "On behalf of The Old Vic Board of Trustees, to all those people who felt unable to speak up at the time, The Old Vic truly apologises. Inappropriate behaviour by anyone working at The Old Vic is completely unacceptable. We will foster a safe and supportive environment without prejudice, harassment or bullying of any sort, at any level. We want anyone who works here to feel confident, valued and proud to be part of The Old Vic family." As no legal claims were made, nor settlements paid out, it's "not been possible to verify any of these allegations" -- but, at least bringing the dark to light will prevent further abuse from happening. We hope more employers take note of sexual harassment policy changes that need to happen across the board. [Image via Joe/WENN.].....»»
