More Than A Dozen Women Come Forward With Sexual Assault Allegations Against Porn Veteran Ron Jeremy — "He Doesn"t Hear No"

Ron Jeremy is the latest celebrity to be called out for alleged sexual assault. In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once [...] Ron Jeremy is the latest celebrity to be called out for alleged sexual assault. In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once at a photo shoot and another time at his apartment, in December of 1997. She told the mag of him allegedly cornering her in a bathroom: "He was like, 'I need to look at your ass so I can get hard for the photo shoot.' Then it turned into him basically sticking it in without me knowing it was happening. I said flat-out no. It stopped, but it didn't stop soon enough after I said no ... During the whole photo shoot I was thinking, 'Was I just raped? What the fuck just happened?' [But] by the time the shoot was done, I had it in my head that I had somehow exaggerated it and it was an honest mistake ... He just kinda keeps going and pretends like you didn't say anything." When asked why she didn't report the crime, Steele replied: "I was pretty promiscuous. I was a stripper. I couldn't prove it." Adding: "He hides behind other women's scarlet letters, is what he does. [He] know[s] if someone's a porn star and they say they've been raped, people aren't gonna take it seriously." Another adult performer, Kendra Sunderland, said Jeremy sucked her breasts without permission at a Dallas expo in 2015: "People expect this from him. If I went and got mad on Twitter, people would say, 'That's Ron.' But if I said a fan did it, they'd say 'That's not OK, that's crossing a line.'" As you can probably imagine, it's very difficult for sex workers to come forward with their stories considering the stigma and gray areas that are involved when it comes to being in the adult entertainment industry. Not to mention, sex workers who come forward are "likely to be blamed or disbelieved by law enforcement." With that said, Rolling Stone spoke with several people in the industry who said Jeremy's behavior is not standard. Popular performer Julia Ann said: "I think Ron is an anomaly, and you'd be hard-pressed to say there's any other person who's been able to publicly sexually harass or assault people and get away with it. It's one thing for someone to do it in their hotel room or their condo or their office or their car, but he can do it in the middle of a convention ... When there are dollar signs involved, the lines [of consent] actually get drawn much more distinctly." In 2003, Jeremy was investigated for criminal sexual conduct after a fan alleged he held her down and raped her in his Michigan hotel room. Charges were not pressed. Also in 2003, performer Ginger Lynn said Jeremy raped her while they were on location shooting a film in 1983. In 2007, another fan told police the porn star reached inside her bra, pulled out her breast, and signed it without her permission at an expo in Miami. Jeremy told TMZ at the time: "I probably signed about 150 boobs that weekend, all of which I sign 'RJ' with a heart.'" There are just a handful of the many explosive accusations against Ron for years of abuse. Related: Sylvester Stallone Allegations Bring Half-Sister's Rape Claims Back Into The Spotlight In a statement to the magazine in response to the many allegations, Jeremy said in full: "Let me first say, that I'm fully in support of the women and men who have been coming forward about being sexually assaulted. These real predators need to be taken down. My reputation is currently being smeared by these old allegations that have already been investigated and dismissed. However, I understand how social change works, and if my reputation has to get a bit tarnished along the way for the better treatment of women, and men, so be it. I will be there to support all people, men and women, that have bravely come forward to attack this systemic problem. As for the allegations against me, these allegations have been online and in print for quite sometime. This is not new or breaking news. I'm shocked you guys are picking this up after it's been reported on over and over by other publications and has been proven over and over to be false. I have never and would never rape anyone. All serious allegations have been investigated by police and dismissed by judges, as have most of the accusations of "Groping". I have never been charged nor spent one day in court for any of this. And these are old allegations. Check, Anything about me appearing in court or in jail, is public record. I was only arrested 20 years ago when I was fighting for Freedom Of Speech with Hal Freeman. The police who looked into the groping charges have always said that they watch the video from the event or whatever and that I did nothing wrong or illegal. They then ask if I want to press charges against The people making false accusations. I never have. As for the charges of Groping, I say yes, I AM A GROPER. And by groper, I mean I get paid to show up to these shows, events, and photo shoots and touch the people and they touch me. I'm not the young stud I was, but I still draw a crowd. And we are talking about things that are within reason, in front of police officer's and security that are always there as well as the tons of cameras And the general public. But seriously, if you were going to be around Ron Jeremy, wouldn't you assume that I'd be a little bit touchy Feely? Yes. This is what I do for a living. I am not Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Weinstein, or Cosby. For over 40 years fans and fellow performers pay money and wait in long lines to meet me. They want autographs, pictures, to flirt with me, physically grab me in different areas (usually my clothed penis), they ask me to touch them and many ask to have me sign their boobs. When I take photos with fans and other performers at these conventions, signings or events, I do sometimes kiss people on the lips or the cheek, sign boobs or whatever they want. There is "put on" flirting and touching for the photos. This is exactly what people pay me for at conventions. The female performers flirt and touch too. It's what we do. If you watch these videos that Ginger Banks put out of me "groping," you see that everyone in the videos is laughing and "groping" too. That I'm not running up to them, they come to me. If anyone was ever made to feel uncomfortable by ANY of our interactions, I'm deeply sorry. That was never my intention and it breaks my heart in half. I hope that everyone reading this keeps in mind that I do tons of these conventions and adult signings. I take pictures with about 500,000 people each all over the world and have every year, for 40 years. These touching complaints are the exact same thing everyone else stood in line for. They couldn't be happier. I have never raped anyone. If anyone continues those claims, that is defamation. I will sue them in court. I'm not saying that I never met these people or interacted with them. I don't remember most of them, how could I? I may have seen hundreds people on those days. A girl said that I took her into a back room at a convention? Now this I remember. No one pushed anyone anywhere, she and a girl friend of hers asked if they could come in to the back tent with me. "Back room" was actually a small tent where the performers went to relax and eat crafty. There were seven other people in the small tent including security guard. And we took some sexy photos with each other as people looked on or looked at their phones. If I did anything wrong, that security guard who works for the convention, would have taken me down and called the police. And someone claimed that in hedonism in Jamaica, which is a nudist swingers resort, I tried to massage their leg years ago? Why is this even in an article? I am very happy that the scum bags of the earth are being taken down. They deserve it. But these allegations are pure lies or buyers remorse. In 40 years, I've never been punched by a boyfriend or anyone ever. I have been heartbroken over these allegations. Not because it affects me or my business, I can take that, but because they are lies and there are actual women and men out there Who have been victims of serious sexual assault, and so on, that are trying to get their voices heard. Again, It does bother me that there might be women out there that had some buyers remorse after our interactions. But I did nothing wrong or out of the ordinary for these conventions or events. These events are supposed to be a fun time. That video that Ginger Banks made looks like a pro Ron Jeremy video if you turn off the sound. Everyone in the videos is having fun with me. This really is a non-story. However I'm glad I had a chance to speak my side." Thoughts??? SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via WENN.].....»»

London’s Old Vic Theater Investigated 20 Cases Of Kevin Spacey"s Alleged "Inappropriate Behavior"

The accusations against disgraced actor Kevin Spacey keep rolling in. On Thursday, the Old Vic theater in London reported 20 "personal testimonies" detailing "allegations of a range of inappropriate behavior" relating to the 58-year-old. As you may know, the (former) House Of Cards star served as the West End institution's artistic director from 2004 to 2015. The [...] The accusations against disgraced actor Kevin Spacey keep rolling in. On Thursday, the Old Vic theater in London reported 20 "personal testimonies" detailing "allegations of a range of inappropriate behavior" relating to the 58-year-old. As you may know, the (former) House Of Cards star served as the West End institution's artistic director from 2004 to 2015. The allegations from 16 staffers and four others stem from incidents occurring between 1995 and 2013. Related: Bryan Cranston Thinks There Might Be 'A Way Back' For Sexual Abusers According to the theater, all but one case were unreported. Trustees had been unaware of the allegations and none were made by people who had been minors at the time. The press release said: "In all but one case, those individuals alleging inappropriate behaviour by Kevin Spacey did not come forward at the time or asked that no formal action be taken. Despite having the appropriate escalation processes in place, it was claimed that those affected felt unable to raise concerns and that Kevin Spacey operated without sufficient accountability. This is clearly unacceptable and The Old Vic truly apologises for not creating an environment or culture where people felt able to speak freely." Now, the theater is determined to create a safe space: "On behalf of The Old Vic Board of Trustees, to all those people who felt unable to speak up at the time, The Old Vic truly apologises. Inappropriate behaviour by anyone working at The Old Vic is completely unacceptable. We will foster a safe and supportive environment without prejudice, harassment or bullying of any sort, at any level. We want anyone who works here to feel confident, valued and proud to be part of The Old Vic family." As no legal claims were made, nor settlements paid out, it's "not been possible to verify any of these allegations" -- but, at least bringing the dark to light will prevent further abuse from happening. We hope more employers take note of sexual harassment policy changes that need to happen across the board. [Image via Joe/WENN.].....»»

Harvey Weinstein Accused of Rape, Sexual Assault in New Allegations By Multiple Women

A bombshell New Yorker piece was published on Tuesday (October 10) that alleges that Harvey Weinstein raped and sexually assaulted women. Among the women accusing him of rape are actresses Lucia Evans and Asia Argento. “Three women — among them [actress Asia] Argento and a former aspiring actress named Lucia Evans — told me that Weinstein raped them, allegations that include Weinstein forcibly performing or receiving oral sex and forcing vaginal sex,” Ronan Farrow wrote in his article. In the piece, the women detail their horrifying alleged ordeals with Harvey. Per Lucia‘s account, she said, “He forced me to perform oral sex on him. I said, over and over, ‘I don’t want to do this, stop, don’t…I tried to get away, but maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I didn’t want to kick him or fight him….He’s a big guy. He overpowered me…I just sort of gave up. That’s the most horrible part of it, and that’s why he’s been able to do this for so long to so many women: people give up, and then they feel like it’s their fault.” Other stars, including Rosanna Arquette and Mira Sorvino, also detailed stories of forced encounters with the disgraced Hollywood producer. “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein,” a Weinstein rep told Variety. “Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances. Mr. Weinstein obviously can’t speak to anonymous allegations, but with respect to any women who have made allegations on the record, Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual.” You can read the entire piece over at the New Yorker......»»

Four Women Come Forward With Very Disturbing Sexual Violence Allegations Against FYF Founder Sean Carlson

As you may have heard earlier this week, Goldenvoice made the decision to split from FYF Festival without explanation. Now we're learning this is a result of four disturbing allegations of sexual misconduct against the fest's founder, Sean Carlson. In an exposé in SPIN, three anonymous and one named women detailed their alleged aggressive experiences with the music promoter, who allegedly attacked all of them between 2010 and 2015. Incident number one involves former freelance music photographer, Natasha Ryan, who claims Carlson forced himself on her at a VIP after-party in a casino suite in Las Vegas. Related: Joy Bryant Reveals She Was Born As The Result Of A Sexual Assault She told the outlet: "This guy just kept coming up to me and trying to take my bra top off and I had to keep batting him away. I didn't know who he was. I was just hoping he'd leave me alone ... He just started grabbing me and trying to kiss me and was trying to pull me into the bathroom to make out with me. I kept saying, ‘Stop, get off me,' and he kept saying, ‘But you're just too cute to not make out with.' He finally backed off after I pushed him off again." When asked why she didn't come forward at the time, Ryan said: "I didn't want to say anything back then because I was still shooting for magazines and publications and Fuck Yeah Fest is really big. I just felt like, ‘I need to get the photos done.' … I knew I had been violated but I didn't know if I should call the police or tell anyone. I thought no one would care and that my incident was isolated." The unnamed woman from the second incident shared her story of allegedly being assaulted by Carlson at a party in Los Angeles in 2013. After allegedly forcing himself into the restroom while she was urinating, she said Carlson trapped her: "I turn around, and his erect penis is just out of his pants. I remember trying to bargain with him, rationalize with him, like, ‘Hey, you're a really cool guy, let's go on a date first, I don't wanna do this, I'm not ready to do this, please, let's not do this' and he kept asking me to kiss his penis. I think that's when I realized, oh my God, this is not okay, this is really a problem and I'm scared. I felt trapped—I mean, I was trapped. So he just kept demanding that I kiss his penis, and I did. In my mind, I was like, ‘Maybe I'll just do this and he'll let me go,' which in retrospect does not make sense. But at that time I was super panicked and I just couldn't believe what was happening." She went on: "So I did it and I stood up. He kept his hand on the door and I kept trying to pull the door open," she says. She happened to be wearing a long dress and no underwear. "He lifted up my dress, and his erect penis was touching my butt. I just felt like, ‘Oh my god, this guy is about to enter me, what the fuck is happening right now.'" She was ultimately able to escape the bathroom, but says Carlson quickly caught up to her: "Before I realize where to go, he came out behind me and pulled by my wrists onto this couch that was in the front of the house—completely in the front of the house, so nobody in the back at the party could hear us at all. I didn't scream, I didn't yell, I was just in disbelief that this was happening. But even if I had, I don't know that anybody would have heard me. He pulled me on top of him, he had me pinned down by my wrists. I'm struggling to get away and he's like, trying to kiss me. And then somebody opened the back door, thank God, because that sound startled him and he loosened his grip on my wrists and I was able to pull free." She says Carlson later sent her a series of texts after the incident, one of which said: "Hey [Beth], I owe you an apology how I acted last night. It wasn't ok and I want you to know that I am sorry. I hope that I can show you in the future that I am a good person. And we hopefully we [sic] cross paths soon. I will make you smile and laugh. Have a good day : )" Several days later, the woman filed a police report but did not ultimately press charges: "The thought of having at least one more year of going through this again and again really was not something I was able to do at that time." Then there's incident number three, during which another unidentified woman says Carlson got "pretty wasted" and crossed the line at a party in 2015. She claimed: "He came up and we had a friendly conversation, and then [he] kind of just stuck his tongue down my throat, forcibly made out with me. I pulled back and resisted the first time, and he didn't really seem to get it and went in a second time, and I think a third time." At another party months later, she said Carlson followed her into a bathroom: "I went into the bathroom at some point and he forced his way in behind me and tried to make out with me. I pushed him out and rejected him." Outside the party with another friend, the woman said she accepted Carlson's offer for both of them to hop in his Uber: "He had just done something really gross, but on the other hand, he was offering to do something really nice. And the fact that I had somebody with me who was really close to me, I felt like I was going to be in a safe space. But as soon as the car pulled up, [Carlson] very forcibly suggested that my friend get in the front seat, and leave us two in the back." The victim remembered being groped by Carlson the rest of the way home, despite her saying no. Lastly, the fourth woman says Carlson was inappropriate with her while at a concert in Los Angeles: "As the night went on, Sean was just getting a little bit in my face, being overly flirty ... I kept trying to jokingly say ‘no' in a way that wouldn't be embarrassing, ‘cause it was a group of us so I didn't want to make it uncomfortable ... And then at one point, he just decided it was okay to kiss me. I had told him to stop getting into my zone a few times before, and I had to push him away." Other guys in the group apparently intervened and pulled Carlson off the woman. The music promoter has since responded to the allegations -- read his full statement (below): "Incident 4 is true. Incident 3 is generally true, but I did not follow the individual into a bathroom. My conduct in both of these incidents was inexcusable. The descriptions in Incidents 1 and 2 both contain serious misstatements and omissions. However, on both occasions I acted inappropriately and shamefully, and deeply regret my actions. I am genuinely, unequivocally sorry. I lay fault at no one's feet but my own. I am ashamed by how I acted and feel terrible for the pain that I have caused. Actions speak louder than words. In December 2015, my years of recklessness and selfishness hit a breaking point; I had to make a promise to family and friends that I would change, or risk finally exhausting what remained of their compassion and support. I gave up alcohol for good, I embraced therapy, and I asked, sincerely, that my family and friends forgive me. Nevertheless, these corrective actions do not excuse my reprehensible conduct, and are small solace to those whose pain I am so sorry to have caused." Wow. Thoughts?? But how can an industry that has silently ignored and systematically perpetuated such alleged predatory behavior for decades suddenly absolve itself of any wrongdoings? Well, punishing those who've been caught is a good start... Related: John Travolta Accused Of Sexual Assault By Masseuse! The Orchard made the decision to scrap the release of Louis C.K.'s new film I Love You, Daddy -- a Woody Allen-esque dramedy about a man whose underage daughter dates a producer in his late 60s -- in the wake of the sexual misconduct allegations coming out against the comedian. Following a New York Times report in which five women accused the actor of pressuring them to watch or listen as he masturbated, the indie film company producing the film said in a statement: "The Orchard will not be moving forward with the release of ‘I Love You, Daddy.'" Probably a smart move, given the film could have been just as easily been titled "Pervs In The City"! But the comedian's fall from grace isn't stopping there. Netflix has also decided to scrap a planned stand-up special with C.K. due to the "disturbing" allegations. A rep for the streamer said in a statement: "The allegations made by several women in The New York Times about Louis C.K.'s behavior are disturbing. Louis's unprofessional and inappropriate behavior with female colleagues has led us to decide not to produce a second stand up special, as had been planned." Finally, ramifications! Another actor whose projects have suffered due to recent misconduct accusations is Ed Westwick, whose drama Ordeal by Innocence has been pulled from the BBC's schedule while he deals with a police investigation. Related: Film Legend Reveals Her Own Sexual Assault 70 Years Later That's not all. In the wake of multiple women accusing the Gossip Girl alum of forcing himself on them (which he has denied), the production company behind his White Gold series says the actor has "paused from filming." A spokesperson for the BBC issued a statement on the "serious allegations," saying: "These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied. The BBC is not making any judgement but until these matters are resolved we will not include ‘Ordeal by Innocence' in the schedules. The independent production company making ‘White Gold' has informed us that Ed Westwick has paused from filming while he deals with these allegations." Another smart move. Ronan Farrow Continues To Open Up About His Explosive Harvey Weinstein Exposé & Details How His Investigation Came To Be!

Ronan Farrow's piece about Harvey Weinstein has already been published, but that doesn't mean he's done talking about it. As we previously reported, Ronan already opened [...] Ronan Farrow's piece about Harvey Weinstein has already been published, but that doesn't mean he's done talking about it. The investigative journalist has been making the press rounds ever since his New Yorker article helped expose decades of sexual harassment and alleged rape caused by the indie movie mogul. As we previously reported, Ronan already opened up about his investigation to NBC's Nightly News and PBS NewsHour. Related: Cara Delevingne Details Being Harassed By Weinstein On Wednesday, Farrow continued his visit with the press as he stopped by the Today show to further shed light on his 10 month long investigation. During his Today interview, Ronan shared: "Each of these sources really tore their guts out giving these horrifying details...This was a traumatic experience to relive these events and there's very little upside for them." In case you were unaware, the 29-year-old interviewed 13 women who claim they've been victims of Weinstein spanning from the '90s until now. As Weinstein's spokesperson has since denied the allegations made in Farrow's explosive exposé, Ronan has simply this to say to Harvey's camp: "The women themselves over and over again tell a very different story." As for why these accusations are coming to light after being buried for decades, Ronan credits the admissions to "profound guilt" and a change in the culture. While chatting with Rachel Maddow on Tuesday, Mia Farrow's son noted: "Of these 16 executives and assistants who talked to me, over and over again I heard from them, 'We feel a profound sense of guilt about what we saw and our silence about it for years.' A female employee who said she was asked to serve as—she used the term a honey pot—in meetings, meaning she would be present to reassure some of these young women who were being brought in that this was professional and then would be asked to leave the hotel room or other room." Ugh. What a job. He continued: "I talked to multiple, multiple employees who said we saw fear in these women's eyes. That is something that haunted a lot of these people. None of them quit as a result—I think that haunted them, too, and you know even still to this day some of them spoke only and honestly, so this is tough issue." We can't even begin to imagine the guilt they've felt over the years. Nonetheless, many are curious as to why Ronan published this investigative story with The New Yorker, rather than NBC (where he is a contributing journalist). Apparently, Ronan's take on the scandal was supposed to air on NBC around the Oscars in February. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Ronan did an extensive amount of research in the NBC office, but when his contract expired, he got wrapped up in negotiations with the network. Sources claim Farrow even lined up a sit down with Weinstein victim Rose McGowan. Sadly, the actress' legal team pulled consent for the interview as it put her at risk of violating her settlement with the 65-year-old. Related: Harvey's Wife IS Leaving Him! Weinstein's lawyers reportedly tried to block Farrow from bringing his research with him from NBC News to The New Yorker. This report is pretty believable as Farrow says he was even "threatened with a lawsuit personally." As for the suggestion that his piece wasn't publishable during his time at the network, the reporter relayed: "I walked into the door at The New Yorker with an explosively reportable piece that should have been public earlier. And immediately, obviously, The New Yorker recognized that. And it is not accurate to say that it was not reportable. In fact, there were multiple determinations that it was reportable at NBC." There's certainly a conflicting view as to whether Ronan's story was airtime ready as some sources claim the reporter had several victims willing to anonymously tell their Weinstein stories on camera, but others state his New Yorker piece is "radically different" to what he had at NBC. Huh. Before you rush to any conclusions, NBC News president Noah Oppenheim wants the public to know the following: "We launched [Ronan] on that story, we encouraged him to report that story. We supported him and gave him resources to report that story over many, many months. The notion that we would try to cover for a powerful person is deeply offensive to all of us... we were on that long list of places that chased this thing, tried to nail it but weren't ultimately the ones who broke it. We reached a point over the summer, where as an organization, we didn't feel that we had all the elements that we needed to air it." At the end of the day, this investigation is far from over as more victims have been coming forward daily. Be sure to stay tuned for any all updates! [Image via AEDT/WENN.].....»»

E! News" Ken Baker Accused Of Sexual Harassment By Two Different Women — See What He Had To Say On The Matter HERE!

Just when you think you know someone… On Thursday, it was revealed that E! News' Ken Baker has been accused of sexual harassment by two employees. Per reports, one former E! On Thursday, it was revealed that E! News' Ken Baker has been accused of sexual harassment by two employees. Per reports, one former E! News staffer claims that back in 2012 Baker called her into his dimly lit office and asked her to sit on his lap. Another alleged victim has accused Ken of kissing her without her consent when she was only an intern in 2011. Related: Third Woman Makes Groping Claims Against President George H.W. Bush The same woman said the industry vet also propositioned her for sex countless times over the years and even asked to gift her with "a Tiffany dildo with ‘Ken Baker' engraved on the shaft." Ewwww. The entertainment newsman has since addressed the allegations as he released the following statement to The Wrap: "I am very disturbed by these anonymous allegations, which make my heart ache. I take them very seriously. I care deeply for people's feelings and sincerely live in a way that treats people with dignity and respect." Well, this isn't necessarily a denial or an apology! It's said the ex-intern's account of what went down with Baker has been supported by the former employee and a career coach, who listened to the victim complain about Ken's texts years ago. Understandably, the coach was "furious" when she saw the salacious texts on the accuser's phone. She shared: "I wanted to report that day, but I had to respect her wishes. She did not want me to do anything. She said I'll handle it. I tried to convince her. I really did." Although it's believed that Baker didn't threaten any of the women, the former intern worried that if she came forward she'd be blacklisted. Apparently, the 47-year-old sent sexual texts to the woman for four-plus years after the internship concluded. Eventually, the unnamed victim ordered Baker to stop it with the texts. In response to the demand, Ken supposedly apologized and arranged for the woman to meet with a casting director. The E! Network has been alerted to the allegations as they released their own statement on the matter. The network noted: "E! has a longstanding commitment to providing a safe working environment in which everyone is treated with respect and dignity. We take all complaints of misconduct seriously, and thoroughly investigate all allegations of harassment." This isn't the first time Baker's been accused of being inappropriate with an employee. Back in 2007, when Ken was the West Coast bureau chief of Us Weekly, a lawsuit claimed he hired his children's nanny as a reporter and texted the said female about wanting have sex with her and noted that he wanted to "see her pregnant with pigtails." Ugh. Related: Harvey Sues The Weinstein Co. After Fallout The ex-E! staffer who shared the "lap" story relayed that Ken would often make inappropriate comments and/or touch her in uncomfortable ways. She explained: "He makes physical comments like, ‘That's a really cute outfit' or ‘That's a really tight shirt.' … He would put his hand on my waist and leave it there too long. I almost feel like it's a power trip. It's like, ‘I can do these things.'" Tsk, tsk. The unwanted attention escalated in 2012 when Ken asked the accuser to come into his office to look at a script. According to the woman, Ken made it difficult for her to look at the computer screen and eventually invited her to sit on his lap. The woman realized he was serious after he "pushed back in his chair a little bit." As for the intern, she first met Ken in an elevator in 2011. The woman would meet in Ken's office regularly in the hopes of getting career advice, but Baker would always turn the conversations from professional topics to sexual ones. The victim recalled: "I thought he would be more of a mentor. He was telling me about how his marriage was failing and about his kids." The former pro athlete attempted to make a move after one of these office meetings. At first, Ken went in for just a hug, but then: "He kind of walked me to the door, gave me a hug and tried to pull one on me and managed to land it. He wanted a long kiss but it was more of a peck… I was like, ‘Whoa, get the fuck off.'" Ick. Although the intern is known for her crass sense of humor, she was never comfortable with the sexual elements of her conversations with Ken. She added: "There was lots of text messaging. He would always twist it. Always make it sexual." How awful. We couldn't be more disappointed in Ken, especially since he's been doing coverage on Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct. "What Could I Do?" The OA"s Brit Marling Says Harvey Weinstein Tried To Get Her To Shower With Him

But she wasn't just the star -- she also created and wrote the mysterious sci-fi show. So when she decided to go public with her story of being brought under false pretenses to the hotel room of Harvey Weinstein, the result was a thoughtful piece about society as a whole. Related: All The Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far In an essay for The Atlantic, she wrote about her meeting with the Hollywood powerhouse in 2014, after she had a couple indies screen at the Sundance Film Festival. And, as she points out, the "meeting" was all too familiar a story: "I, too, went to the meeting thinking that perhaps my entire life was about to change for the better. I, too, was asked to meet him in a hotel bar. I, too, met a young, female assistant there who said the meeting had been moved upstairs to his suite because he was a very busy man. I, too, felt my guard go up but was calmed by the presence of another woman my age beside me. I, too, felt terror in the pit of my stomach when that young woman left the room and I was suddenly alone with him. I, too, was asked if I wanted a massage, champagne, strawberries. I, too, sat in that chair paralyzed by mounting fear when he suggested we shower together." Thankfully, as Brit says in her essay, she had been in Hollywood long enough to have recognized the paths she did not want to go down, and she was able to get out of there: "I was able to gather myself together—a bundle of firing nerves, hands trembling, voice lost in my throat—and leave the room. I later sat in my hotel room alone and wept. I wept because I had gone up the elevator when I knew better. I wept because I had let him touch my shoulders. I wept because at other times in my life, under other circumstances, I had not been able to leave." Those types of circumstances many women face are ultimately what Brit wants to talk about. Related: Celebrity Chef Steps Down From Company After Sexual Harassment Allegations She writes: "I'm telling this story because in the heat surrounding these brave admissions, it's important to think about the economics of consent. Weinstein was a gatekeeper who could give actresses a career that would sustain their lives and the livelihood of their families. He could also give them fame, which is one of few ways for women to gain some semblance of power and voice inside a patriarchal world. They knew it. He knew it. Weinstein could also ensure that these women would never work again if they humiliated him. That's not just artistic or emotional exile—that's also economic exile." Speaking of streaming sci-fi, if you thought The Handmaid's Tale couldn't happen just look backward a bit: "It's important, too, to keep in mind where this power imbalance comes from. In the U.S., women were only allowed to have credit cards in their own names as of 43 years ago. Men had a two-decade head start (the credit card was invented in 1950). In the 1960s a woman needed to bring a man along to cosign any credit application. It's stunning how recently women were afforded no financial autonomy. This is, of course, connected to the fact that women didn't have bodily autonomy either. A woman's husband could beat her or have sex with her without her consent in this country with no real legal recourse until the 1970s. How horrifying is that? Just think about those facts every time Donald Trump says "Make America Great AGAIN." "For me, this all distills down to the following: The things that happen in hotel rooms and board rooms all over the world (and in every industry) between women seeking employment or trying to keep employment and men holding the power to grant it or take it away exist in a gray zone where words like "consent" cannot fully capture the complexity of the encounter. Because consent is a function of power. You have to have a modicum of power to give it. In many cases women do not have that power because their livelihood is in jeopardy and because they are the gender that is oppressed by a daily, invisible war waged against all that is feminine—women and humans who behave or dress or think or feel or look feminine." Brit views this as a much larger problem than just Harvey, than just Hollywood. She says: "It's not these bad men. Or that dirty industry. It's this inhumane economic system of which we are all a part. As producers and as consumers." So what's the solution? In general, Marling believes part of the solution must come from women closing the pay gap and thus the disparity in economic power: "This means that, in part, stopping sexual harassment and abuse will involve fighting for wage parity. This also means women and men in power need to turn around and hire more women, especially women of color, especially women who have not grown up with economic privilege." You can read Brit's entire take on the situation HERE. [Image via FayesVision/Ivan Nikolov/WENN.].....»»

Yes, August 26. Tomorrow. He's not doing anything to actually make sure women are paid equally or have access to healthcare, but at least he's giving women a hollow gesture. The well-ghostwritten announcement paints a flattering picture of his nothing accomplishments and ends with: "I call upon the people of the United States to celebrate the achievements of women and observe this day with appropriate programs and activities." Um, thanks for the heads up? We mean, it's not like anyone can really schedule a parade, a TV special, or any kind of celebration for the next day when they find out about it AFTER 4 P.M. EST ON A MOTHERFUCKING FRIDAY. At this point we honestly couldn't say whether the press release coming so late is just the shoddy execution that comes with a half-staffed White House led by an incompetent buffoon -OR- the shady machinations of a petty woman-hater. As you likely know, the indie movie mogul has been fired from his company, The Weinstein Company, following The New York Times' exposé detailing three decades of sexual harassment allegations. While we knew journalist Ronan Farrow was conducting his own investigation into the matter for The New Yorker, we didn't realize his piece would contain allegations of rape against the scandalized producer. Related: George Clooney & Kevin Smith Denounce Harvey! Man, oh man. On Tuesday, The New Yorker published an explosive piece which alleges that Weinstein raped three women, including actress Asia Argento. Per Farrow's account, the industry vet forcibly performed and/or received oral sex. Harvey has also been accused of having forced vaginal sex with women. That is so disturbing on so many levels. On why Harvey is only just being exposed now, Argento explained to Farrow: "I know he has crushed a lot of people before. That's why this story—in my case, it's twenty years old, some of them are older—has never come out." Smh. How awful. The piece goes on to confirm that, in addition to the alleged rapes, four women have accused the disgraced filmmaker of forcing unwanted physical contact. Specifically, Weinstein is said to have exposed himself to female victims or masturbated in front of them. This is almost identical to the claims made by the Times. Weinstein has since denied the rape accusations as his spokesman noted in a statement: "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances. Mr. Weinstein obviously can't speak to anonymous allegations, but with respect to any women who have made allegations on the record, Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual." It's said Farrow has been working on this piece for months. Be sure to read the FULL story for yourself HERE! [Image via WENN.].....»»

The Oscar-nominated actress voiced a role in the Hoodwinked movies, which were released by The Weinstein Company. Glenn acknowledged in her statement that she had been aware of the allegations for “many years” and that she’s angry not only at Harvey, but at the fact that the “casting couch” phenomenon is still a reality today. “I’m sitting here, deeply upset, acknowledging to myself that, yes, for many years, I have been aware of the vague rumors that Harvey Weinstein had a pattern of behaving inappropriately around women. Harvey has always been decent to me, but now that the rumors are being substantiated, I feel angry and darkly sad,” Glenn said in a statement to the New York Times. “I’m angry, not just at him and the conspiracy of silence around his actions, but also that the “casting couch” phenomenon, so to speak, is still a reality in our business and in the world: the horrible pressure, the awful expectation put on a woman when a powerful, egotistical, entitled bully expects sexual favors in exchange for a job,” she continued. Click inside to read the rest of Glenn Close’s statement… “Ours is an industry in which very few actors are indispensable and women are cast in far fewer roles than men, so the stakes are higher for women and make them more vulnerable to the manipulations of a predator.
