Jon Snow"s Wight-Hunting Party Ends With The Biggest Game Of Thrones Death Yet! Get The Beyond The Wall Recap!

It's a wight-hunting party and we'll cry if we want to! And with the major (yes, MAJOR) casualty Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) last-ditch plan resulted in, we certainly teared up during this week's Game of Thrones. And with the major (yes, MAJOR) casualty Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) last-ditch plan resulted in, we certainly teared up during this week's Game of Thrones. Video: Kit Does His Best Impression Of A Dragon! There were quite a few moments in Beyond The Wall that struck a chord: sisters plotting against sisters, mothers losing children, and aunts having naughty thoughts about their nephews. How are fans supposed to feel about all this? Read the recap of the latest hour (below) to find out! Blistering Bonding The episode kicked off with the Fellowship of The White (that's Jon Snow, Jorah Mormont, Thoros of Myr, Beric Dondarrion, Tormund, The Hound, Gendry, and a few disposable extras) trudging their way North of the wall on their impossibly dangerous mission to capture a wight to prove to Cersei the Army of the Dead is real. The party gets a lot of fun bonding screen time as they trek through the tundra. Gendry complains about how cold AF the North is. Tormund suggests that Jon get over his pride and bend the knee to Dany. Gendry complains some more about Thoros and Beric selling him off to Melisandre. The Hound tells Gendry to stop his whinging. Jon and Jorah discuss their daddy issues and swords and honor but don't bring up how they're both in love with Dany. Still With This Letter? Back at Winterfell, Littlefinger's plan to drive a wedge between the Stark sisters is going smoothly. Too smoothly, in fact, because Arya (Maisie Williams) is kind of being a Faceless drag about that raven-letter Sansa was forced to write when she was in the Lannister's hold back in season 2. Arya concludes that Sansa (Sophie Turner) is worried she'll show the letter to the lords of the North and destroy her image as Lady of the North. Sansa's all, "you wouldn't dare," and Arya's like "bitch, I just might." We cut through the subtext to save you from another long winded chat overlooking the courtyard. (Get to the point, Arya, there's only one episode left this season!) Meanwhile at Dragonstone, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Dany (Emilia Clarke) discuss their upcoming meeting with Cersei. After the Hand tells the Dragon Queen she kind of overreacted when she impulsively decided to fry both Tarlys last week, Tyrion reminds Dany that she wanted to "break the wheel" of merciless rulers. Tyrion then pushes his luck by bringing up the subject of Dany's successor, reminding her that she can't have children (read the room, Tyrion.) Dany will only discuss this matter after she sits on the Iron Throne. Beary Close Call Up North, the men continue to bond (it's a long trip!) -- Tormund tells The Hound how he plans to have giant warrior babies with Brienne of Tarth. The Hound makes a subtle comment about Brienne almost(?) killing him for fans to giggle over. Beric and Jon discuss the meaning of life and why they were brought back from death. Beric tells Jon the Lord of the Light chose them to stay alive to protect and save lives -- an answer that seems to satisfy the always-brooding King in the North. The bonding gets put on pause when the party gets attacked by an undead polar bear. One of the extras is killed, and the bear begins to maul Thoros sort of like that scene in The Revenant. Except this time, there are flaming swords that kill the bear before Thoros becomes totally useless for the mission. He's really a good sport about it. After this encounter, the band of brothers finally sets sight on a white walker and his clan of backup wights. A brief battle filled with zombie gurgle SFX ends up with Jon taking out the lead walker -- which effectively incinerates all of the wights except one. This special wight they capture, but not before he summons the rest of the army with a zombie screech. Run, Gendry, Run! Knowing trouble is on the way, Jon orders Gendry to run back to Eastwatch and send a raven to Daenerys -- because he's the fastest, and because we all want to see the Hound use Gendry's hammer. Gendry reluctantly dashes off as the wights appear -- prompting Jon's party to run across a frozen lake to a small island. The wights close in on the humans until the ice breaks and a good chunk of them fall into the water. Our heroes are now trapped in a frozen wasteland surrounded by the army of the dead. Night passes, and the band of brothers realizes they will soon freeze to death. Oh wait, Thoros already froze to death. Awkward. Pour one out for the homie. Jorah and Jon deduce that killing a white walker will also kill all the wights they've created. Beric concludes that killing the Night King, who is stoically watching them from a snowy bank, will kill them all. Good to know! Gendry makes it back to Eastwatch and collapses before the gate. The guards come out and he gasps about sending ravens to Dany. You done good, kid. More Bad Ideas After receiving an invitation to King's Landing, Sansa sends a reluctant Brienne on her behalf. Brienne is worried about leaving the Lady with Littlefinger -- who, earlier in the episode, reminded her that Brienne would be the only one to stand in the way if either Stark sister conspired to harm the other. Clearly, Sansa's more worried about Arya. Oh, just you wait, Lady... At Dragonstone, Dany climbs aboard Drogon against Tyrion's advice. Putting her own life at risk, she takes off for the North on a rescue mission with Rhaegal and Viserion in tow. Frost Bite Jon and his iced comrades are in trouble. After the Hound starts throwing rocks at the wights, they learn the water around them has finally frozen solid again. This causes the wights to advance, and an epic fight ensues. Wights close in on every corner, and it's a dire situation for our heros. Tormund almost gets ripped apart, but is saved by the Hound at the (very) last second. Nice! The last extra in their party isn't so lucky, and falls into a pack of snow-zombies who do what zombies do best. All while their captured wight lies on the ground making zombie hisses. It's looking grim for the comrades, until Dany comes flying in to save them with her dragons! The place is then LIT THE FUCK UP with fire. Skeleton warriors are set ablaze! Drogon swoops down and everyone climbs aboard! Except motherfucking Jon Snow, who is still fighting. Meanwhile, the Night King reaches for his mystical ice-spear and launches it javelin style. No, not at Jon -- at Viserion flying in the sky! Yeah, this fucker has impressive upper body strength -- because that ice-spear travels hundreds of feet in the air and fatally hits Viserion right in his dragon heart. Close up of heartbroken Dany as one of her children (albeit, the one named after her evil brother) sinks into the icy waters. Sad! The Night King readies another ice-spear as Jon is overtaken by some wights and falls below the ice. Too slow, Jon Snow. Dany takes off, and the second ice-spear BARELY misses a fleeing Drogon. Seconds later, Jon surfaces. The wights notice and savagely dash towards him, but he's saved at the last second by -- who else? -- Uncle Benjen! The sort-of-undead Stark slaps Jon on a horse and sends him back to the Wall before proceeding to take down the oncoming horde with that fiery skull thing he likes to whip around. Thankfully, Jon makes it back to Eastwatch. He's loaded onto a Targaryen ship, where Dany marvels over his heroic stabwounds/even more heroic abs. Consider her fire lit. Snoopy Starks At Winterfell, Sansa sneaks into Arya's room and finds her genuinely unsettling bag of faces. Then things get even creepier when Arya basically manifests in a puff of smoke and slowly creeps toward her sister with her hands behind her back. Arya reveals the deadly skills she picked up at the House of Black and White and threatens to chop of Sansa's face so she can finally feel what it's like to wear those pretty dresses. Um... or you can just, like, borrow one, Arya? Sansa is left feeling unsafe and creeped out. Fire and Ice On the ship, Jon wakes up to find Dany at his bedside. He apologizes on behalf of her reptilian loss, and she swears to help him defeat the Night King. Jon then one ups her and agrees to bend the knee, calling her "my queen." Heavy hand holding and sexy eyes follows. Dany leaves all flustered. This is happening, people! Back up north, the wights work together to carry Viserion's giant corpse out of the lake with chains. The Night king comes over and delivers a game changing blow with the touch of his mystically cursed, undead hands: the dragon opens his now-blue eye, officially resurrected as a white walker flyer! Yup, we finally got our long-rumored ice dragon! Now for that season finale.... [Image via HBO.].....»»

World, Meet Danica Roem — Virginia"s First Openly Transgender Elected Official!

Marshall in a political race for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. This election win is so major since Marshall was the one who introduced the controversial "bathroom bill" in Virginia. Related: Trump Says Texas Church Shooting "Isn't A Guns Situation" Not to mention, the 33-year-old former journalist is the first openly transgender person to be elected and seated in a state legislature. You go, girl! Roem's victory over Marshall must feel pretty good as the 73-year-old has proposed several anti-LGBTQ pieces of legislation. In fact, the 13-term incumbent previously dubbed himself the state's "chief homophobe." Oh, and during his tenure with the House of Delegates, Robert proposed that openly gay people should be banned from serving in the Virginia National Guard AND was the primary sponsor for the state's amendment banning same-sex marriage. Boy, bye!! Marshall proved that he truly is a bigot when he refused to debate Roem prior to Election Day and often referred to her with male pronouns. Smh. Thankfully, Danica never sunk to Robert's level as she focused her campaign on jobs, schools, and northern Virginia's traffic congestion. On her classy campaign, Roem told The Washington Post: "Discrimination is a disqualifier. This is about the people of the 13th District disregarding fear tactics, disregarding phobias … where we celebrate you because of who you are, not despite it." Hear! Hear! However, Danica wasn't the only Democrat elected to the state's House of Delegates, as former news anchor Chris Hurst was elected to Virginia's 12th District. In case you forgot, Hurst tragically lost his girlfriend after she was shot live on television in 2015. After the tragedy, Hurst left his post and decided to focus on a career in politics. Looks like we have some up-and-comers to keep our eyes on! Congratulations to both Danica and Chris!! [Image via Virginia's List/Twitter.].....»»

On Saturday evening, two Virginia State Police troopers were killed after their helicopter crashed in Albemarle County near Charlottesville. The crash took place while they were performing duties monitoring crowd control and public safety issues concerning Saturday's white supremacist demonstrations in the city. Related: Victim, Terrorist Identified In Saturday's Vehicle Attack The two troopers have been identified as H. Jay Cullen of Midlothian, Virginia, and Berke M.M. Bates of Quinton, Virginia, both of the Richmond area. Trooper-Pilot Cullen was 48 years old. Trooper-Pilot Bates was 40. According to Susan Rowland, the Virginia State Police Public Relations Coordinator, the pair's helicopter sustained some kind of malfunction and crashed in a wooded area near a home just before 5:00 p.m. local time, and added: "The Bell 407 helicopter was assisting public safety resources with the ongoing situation in Charlottesville." So sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with both State Troopers, who died trying to protect Charlottesville from hate, bigotry, and violence. [Image via Virginia State Police.].....»»

Fans were certainly looking forward to Sunday's showing of GoT as the episode, titled The Dragon And The Wolf, teased the potential of a Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen hookup. Not to mention, many speculated that the title foreshadowed Snow would FINALLY learn about his royal lineage. Related: There's Sexy Jon Snow Halloween Costume... Although, as Cersei Lannister was seen attending the Fellowship Of The Ring rulers meet-and-greet in the trailer, it's safe to assume nothing went according to plan. Soooooo, what exactly happened during The Dragon And The Wolf? Get all the juicy deets from the finale for yourself (below)! Queen vs. Queen vs. King Queen Cersei Lannister finally faced her enemies, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, in order to discuss the impending threat in the north. Things were understandably tense as estranged family members came face to face for the first time in seasons. We mean, for starters, we had the awkward tension between Cersei and her Targaryen-loyal brother, Tyrion Lannister. But let's not forget about the epic feud between Ser Gregor Clegane and Ser Sandor Clegane. Nonetheless, the familial drama was put aside so that Cersei and co. could see for themselves that wights are indeed real. Although it took a bit of convincing, Cersei ultimately agreed to a truce and promised to send her armies north -- a promise she doesn't intend to keep. The Demise Of Petyr Baelish Sansa Stark is done being used as a pawn. As you may recall, ever since Arya Stark returned to Winterfell things have been tense between the Stark sisters. Mainly, because Petyr Baelish has been planting the seed that Arya is dangerous and a threat to Sansa's current hold over the north. Despite once being the most gullible person in Westeros, Sansa has learned quite a bit from her manipulation lessons with Littlefinger, so she was able to realize that he was (once again) trying to use her. Thus Sansa and Arya, with the help of brother Bran Stark, tricked Petyr into standing trial for murder and treason. In an EPIC speech, Sansa called out Littlefinger for being the cause of their family's many tragedies. In typical Littlefinger fashion, Baelish tried to talk himself out of trouble. It didn't work though as Assassin Arya slit his throat. Boy, bye! Theon Steps Up After being a coward for seven straight seasons, Theon Greyjoy was able to unearth some courage inside of himself during Sunday's episode. After a heart-to-heart with former foster brother, Jon Snow, Theon announced his intentions to rescue his sister from the clutches of his evil uncle, Euron Greyjoy. However, the scandalized Greyjoy first had to reclaim power among the remaining loyal Iron Born. Theon took quite the beating from one captain who opposed the rescue mission, but Yara's brother won out in the end as the sailor tried defeating Greyjoy by kicking him in the junk (something he lost seasons ago). Theon also threw a head butt and a couple punches too. The Dragon And The Wolf Dragon The episode took a steamy turn when Jon and Daenerys banged on their journey to the north. While the hookup session was a hot one, it was complicated by the fact that Bran and Samwell Tarly were having a very revealing conversation about the King in the North's lineage at the same time. Between Bran's psychic visions and Sam's maester notes, the twosome were able to confirm that Jon is the child of wedded couple, Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. In short: not only is Jon NOT a bastard, but he's the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Sadly, this truth bomb wasn't revealed before the aunt and nephew duo got it on. Oops. Winter Is Here And So Are The Dead So, you remember that ceasefire we talked about earlier? Well, Cersei officially called it off as she informed her brother Jaime Lannister that she has zero plans to fight in the Great War. The Lannister twins bickered about honor for an entire scene before Jaime, horrified by Cersei's selfishness, chose to abandon King's Landing for the war in the north. And, it's a good thing Jaime's heading north, because Jon and Dany are going to need all the help they can get. In the last moments of the finale, the Night King rode to the Wall on a zombified dragon with his undead army beside him. It took mere moments for the ice dragon to destroy the ancient fortress, likely killing all of those who were there defending it. R.I.P., Tormund?? What a way to end a season. What was YOUR favorite moment??? Be sure to SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via HBO.].....»»

Emilia Clarke & Kit Harington React To That Game Of Thrones Sex Scene: "Ewwwww!"

After (seemingly) uniting the Houses together to fight against the army of the dead, Fire finally laid with Ice. The Dragon danced with the wolf. Daenerys Targaryen climbed Mt. Jon Snow, and he in return took a plunge into her dragon pit -- and it was GLORIOUS. Not as glorious, however, when considering that Westeros' hottest love scene played out while fans were reminded that the two characters are actually aunt and nephew! Related: Twitter Reacts To Game Of Thrones Finale!! Though fans may have made peace with the fact that Jon and Dany are secretly related, the characters have a lot to be nauseated about. At least, that's what Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington teased would be the response after the Targaryen truth bomb gets dropped in season eight. Speaking to EW, Clarke considered her character's reaction to the news that she was fucking her own fire and blood, laughing: "Ewwwww! I think that's how it's going to go. I get the toothbrush—" Well, we can't really blame her, can we? Especially given the fact that Jon Snow's true identity -- Aegon Targaryen -- now threatens Dany's claim to the Iron Throne. In the finale, it was revealed (again) that Jon/Aegon's parents Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark were secretly married, making him the true heir to rule Westeros. According to Clarke, that's going to put quite the spike in the new relationship -- because Dany ain't about to share: "I've worked so hard, I don't want to share that throne. No. The throne's big enough for one dragon bum, and that's mine. That's it!" Loverboy Harington wasn't as concerned with the impending doom of Jon and Dany as for how to realistically ramp up their chemistry during their short time together over the past four episodes. Related: Trump Administration -- As GoT Characters! Speaking on the pressure to play out the biggest romance of the series, he explained: "Usually you go into a movie and meet [your costar] for the first time and you develop that chemistry over that time. But if you've known somebody for seven years and shared this incredible journey in your own lives together … we're both kind of freaking out about it. I would be like, ‘What's the sexual tension in this scene?' and she's like, ‘Stop talking about sexual tension!' It's a unique experience to be in as an actor and you know the world is watching." Clarke had more confidence in their palpable chemistry, adding: "Yeah [I would say], ‘Would you just stop? Just give me some sexy eyes, don't keep talking about sexual chemistry all the time… I love that when we get to the saucy stuff it's a beautiful acceptance of a wordless … yep." Yep! Clark notes the big realization for Dany was when Jon left Dragonstone to journey beyond The Wall to capture the wight: "She's just like: Why don't I want you do go? Why don't I want you— doooooon't fall for him. Don't do it! There's a battle going in on herself." As for Jon's reaction to learning who he truly is -- and who he's truly banging -- Harington would only say: "I said to Emilia it's going to be a really cool scene when they find out." But as for what they'll do after they find out, only the writers know! He added: "That part of it, I can't predict. It could be them walking off into the sunset. It could be them killing each other." Seeing as this is Game of Thrones, we already know which tragic end to expect. So let's enjoy the ride while we still can -- we know Jon and Dany sure are! [Image via HBO.].....»»

Francia Raisa"s Mother Denies Any Money Changed Hands Between Selena Gomez & Her Daughter!

We are so inspired by the friendship between Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa! For someone to give up a kidney, literally a part of themselves for their friend — we can hardly imagine! For someone to give up a kidney, literally a part of themselves for their friend -- we can hardly imagine! Related: The Weeknd Scheduled His Tour Around Selena's Surgery! But in a new interview with Al Rojo Vivo, Francia's mother, Virginia Almendarez, explained the pair are really more like family. She said: "They've been friends for many years. They're like sisters. I love her a lot, too. She loves me a lot. She says I'm her mom. I'm very proud of both of them." So how did Virginia react to first learning her daughter's plans? She was afraid, but the more she learned the more she realized everything would be fine: "Francia Raisa is an adult already, and she makes her own choices. She told me about it, and of course, at first, I was worried, but then she said that she had been thoroughly informed about everything and that she was going to do it. All I could do was support her. People need to know that you can live with one kidney, there are a lot of individuals that get scared to donate to people that need it because they're afraid of never again living a normal life. But there is no danger." Of course, the pair had the best of care. Francia's mom confirmed Selena rented a house for the friends to live in for a month with "nurses there to care for them": "Yes, I went there to visit her. Because of my job, I didn't have a lot of time but they were there, and I would go one to two times a week." In fact, as we've heard, Francia has already recovered! Related: New Details About How Selena & Francia Kept The Secret! Momma confirms her girl is already back at work: "She's actually filming a TV show that's called Grown-ish [a spinoff of Black-ish], and she's just going about her normal life... Thank God they're both doing great. Thankfully the kidney was compatible and that everything came out perfectly." When asked whether any money changed hands, Almendarez flatly denies it: "No, not even a single penny. Some people are treating this as if there was money involved. Francia did it for friendship, for her love for Selena, and because they care a lot for each other. She didn't receive any benefit from this, only the benefit of Selena having a better life." So amazing! And of course Selena's mother Mandy Teefey thought so, too! Virginia says when the two moms finally saw one another they simply hugged, Mandy saying: "I don't know what to say." Virginia says the surgery has (understandably) brought the two friends closer together: "The love between them has really grown. Selena is a great girl, and she also has a big heart, as does Francia. I'm very proud of both of them. Francia has a huge heart because not anyone would just let go of one of their organs to give it to someone else." No kidding! A huge heart and compatible kidneys! What a perfect friend! [Image via Instagram.].....»»
