The Republicans kept control of the Senate, and the Democrats took control of Congress for the first time since 2011. Voters turned out in record numbers to render a verdict on Trump after two years in which he has monopolized the media, polarized the electorate and dominated American political life like no president since Franklin Roosevelt — or arguably ever. The one thing that was prevalent in the elections was that diversity won big! So we hope that you voted (just like these celebrities did) and made a mark in last night’s historical election. The House is getting its first two Muslim women and Massachusetts is getting its first black congresswoman following Tuesday’s midterm elections, among other historic firsts. In what some are referring to as the “pink wave,” the high-profile midterm cycle produced a record number of women contenders. So well done to all of the groundbreakers! Hillsong Church Is "A Total Cult" & Justin Bieber Has Already Given Them $10 Million, Says Rapper Pal Post Malone!

When the guy with the barbed wire forehead tattoo tells you a place is sketchy, steer clear! In a wide-ranging new interview with Rolling Stone, rapper Post Malone talks everything from guns to his love of Olive Garden, but the real interesting tidbit is what he has to say about his "genuine friend" Justin Bieber, whom he calls "a fucking awesome, great dude." Video: Post Malone's Stage Dive Goes SO WRONG! But speaking about Justin's newfound devotion to the Hillsong church, he says: "He's gotten super-religious recently. Real culty." Post's longtime girlfriend Ashlen jumps in on the interview to say about Hillsong: "It's not culty!" But Post has seen enough of the star-studded place of worship to make up his mind: "It's a total cult. He's already given them, like, $10 million. Those are the worst kinds of people. I used to be super-religious. I believed in God. But now I see through it. It's nice to support something you believe in, I guess, but people are spending so much money, and God doesn't care that your church has a fucking gold roof." Wow! Is this the next Scientology?? Related: Justin & Selena Gomez Seen Hitting Up Church Multiple Times In A Weekend BTW, a source close to Bieber denied that he had given the church $10 mil. Not sure why Malone would make that up about his friend, but whatevs. When asked what The Biebs thinks of this opinion, Post tells the interviewer they "don't talk about this stuff." Do YOU think Hillsong seems "culty"? [Image via Instagram.].....»»

Olive Garden just introduced a new menu item just in time for the Super Bowl: loaded pasta chips, AKA Italian pasta nachos. Delicious, yes, but quite controversial. These homemade pasta chips -- made from cut sheets of lasagna -- are lightly fried and smothered in Italian cheeses and a hearty meat sauce, then topped with cherry peppers and an Alfredo drizzle. Jimmy Fallon is now mourning the death of his mother, Gloria Fallon, who passed away on Saturday in New York City. She was 68 years old. Related: Jimmy Fallon Doesn't 'Care That Much About Politics' A day earlier, Fallon had left his post at The Tonight Show abruptly to be with his mother, and the network aired a re-run of a September show in what would have been the late-night show's normal slot. Jimmy's rep informed the media that the late-night host spent the weekend with his mother in NYC, and was there for her final, peaceful moments (below): "Jimmy Fallon's mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday. Jimmy was at his mother's bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time." So sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Fallon family during this very difficult time. The Story Behind Jimmy Fallon"s Emotional First Night Back Following His Mom"s Death Will Break Your Heart

As you can imagine, Jimmy Fallon's first night back on his show Monday following the death of his mother Gloria was incredibly difficult. Taking to Twitter following the taping, one of Jimmy's writers/producers wrote the story behind the comedian's emotional return – and how Taylor Swift stepped in without hesitation to make the episode extra special. Taking to Twitter following the taping, one of Jimmy's writers/producers wrote the story behind the comedian's emotional return -- and how Taylor Swift stepped in without hesitation to make the episode extra special. Related: Taylor Swift Announces 2018 Reputation Tour Dates! Follow along with Mike DiCenzo's telling of events, and grab a tissue or four, (below): A few words (i.e. a thread) about tonight's show. It was our first show back after Jimmy's mom passed away... — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 It was a really tough day for our whole staff. A lot of us knew his mom Gloria, and she was the best. The best. She loved the show, she loved all of us, and most of all, she loved Jimmy. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 They talked on the phone every day. As Jimmy said, she was his biggest fan. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 And as @Questlove said, Jimmy is not only our boss, he's our family. We love him. So we were devastated for him last week, and we were feeling for him today. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 I'm sure today was especially tough for Jimmy. The fact that he came out, stood there, and did a normal monologue for the crowd is a testament to how strong he is. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 But at the desk, you could hear his voice break when talking about our musical guest Taylor Swift, and that's because he knew what he was about to say... — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 Jimmy's words about his mom were beautiful. "Mom, I'll never stop trying to make you laugh. I love you." I was crying. We all were. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 The story about his mom squeezing his hand 3 times to say "I love you" when he was a kid, and then him squeezing her hand in the hospital - he hadn't told any of us that story... More on that in a second. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 First, a quick word about Taylor Swift. She was not scheduled to do our show today. But we wanted something special for this first show back, so we asked her on a complete whim, since she had been in town doing SNL. She said yes with zero hesitation. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 She sang "New Year's Day." No one had heard it. Suddenly she sings the line, "Squeeze my hand 3 times in the back of the taxi." I nearly gasped. Tears. I think everyone in the audience started sobbing. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 I could see Jimmy silhouetted at his desk dabbing his eyes with a tissue. We all lost it. It was a beautiful coincidence in a beautiful performance. "Hold on to your memories, they will hold on to you," Taylor sang. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 That hug between Jimmy and Taylor after the song was 100% real emotion. Whatever you think of Taylor, she did something beautiful for Jimmy and our show today, and we're forever grateful. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 Thank you to Taylor, the Roots, Higgins, our whole staff and crew, and to all the FalPals, fans, and everyone who reached out to and supported Jimmy and his family. I can tell you it meant everything to him. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 One last note: our show was right on time today, but we edited out a minute to leave room for Jimmy high-fiving audience members during the end credits. It was Gloria's favorite part of the show. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 We love you, Gloria. — Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) November 14, 2017 Sending all our love! Fallon, of course, had been bedside with his 68-year-old mother Gloria before she passed away on Saturday after being quite ill for some time, according to reports. Related: Jimmy Fallon Doesn't 'Care That Much About Politics' And earlier today, Fallon himself shared a very simple, but poignant, sentiment about the death of his mother (below): "Today I lost my biggest fan." Ugh. Tears. So, so painful -- especially considering she was just 68 years old. No word yet on when exactly Fallon may be back on air with new episodes, but obviously it's more important to take care of family and mourn the passing of someone so close to him. Other entertainers have obviously felt the same way as they shared the love today (below): Mom is the first audience and the best. Remembering Jimmy Fallon and his family in our prayers today. — Stephen Colbert (@StephenAtHome) November 5, 2017 Jimmy's mom was full of energy, fun, a hearty laugh & twinkle in her eye. The apple didn't fall far from the tree. Love to all the Fallons — Andy Cohen (@Andy) November 5, 2017 Sad, unfortunate stuff. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jimmy. [Image via WENN.].....»»
