Model Zoe Brock Details Being "Harveyed" By Harvey Weinstein — Read Her Upsetting Account HERE

Following the explosive New York Times exposé which detailed the indie movie mogul's decades of sexual harassment, several women have come forward to discuss their unsavory experiences with Weinstein. One of the latest people to speak out is model Zoe Brock. Related: Nelly Responds To Sexual Assault Arrest It's been 20 years since Miz Brock's encounter with Harvey, but she clearly remembers how he allegedly lured her back to his hotel room and begged for a massage. Now, if you read the Times coverage, you know that was Weinstein's total M.O. Per Zoe's Medium post, she was only 23 years old when she was "Harveyed." Apparently, the New Zealand-born beauty met Weinstein in 1997 while they were both at the Cannes Film Festival. She revealed: "I met Harvey Weinstein in Cannes at the Film Festival. We were seated next to each other at a fancy dinner. I didn't catch his name and assumed I was talking to another hungry producer trying to sell a little movie to the big wigs. Feeling sorry for him, I went out of my way to be entertaining and nice. It wasn't until later in the meal that I asked the name of his production company." After learning that they had a mutual friend in common, the two industry professionals spent some time together at the film festival. Zoe continued: "With a dear mutual friend in common I felt safe with Harvey. The night was young and so was I. After dinner our large group, which included my Italian modeling agent, a few rich douchebags, some decorative models, and Harvey's entourage, rolled out into the Cannes night. Black town cars and gleaming limos took us to various parties where we glittered and shone like everyone else. Harvey and his assistant, Ben Silverman, never left my side." While the conversation between Zoe and Harvey could've been misconstrued as flirtatious, Brock insists that she only felt "platonic energy" for him. Which makes it so much more troubling that Weinstein and his assistant seemingly manipulated it so that she was separated from her friends: "My group was ushered into one car and I was somehow separated from them and told to get into another car with Harvey and his two friends. Stupidly, I obliged. I was told we were all going to the same place. To this day I do not know if my Italian agent was in on the ruse. My instincts tell me he was." How awful. Things only got worse for Zoe as she relayed: "The energy shifted and I became very uncomfortable... And suddenly I was alone in a remote hotel suite with Harvey fucking Weinstein. My body went into high alert. I was drunk, young, miles from home, without cash to get a cab, and no cell phone... It was time to sober up, and fast." To make matters worse, Harvey moved quickly to proposition Zoe as he was naked and asking for massage almost as soon as they were alone. The model added: "Harvey left the room, but not for long. He re-emerged naked a couple of minutes later and asked if I would give him a massage. Panicking, in shock, I remember weighing up the options and wondering how much I needed to placate him to keep myself safe. He asked if I would like a massage instead, and for a second I thought this might be a way to give him an inch without him taking a mile. I told him I was uncomfortable and that I was angry that I had been tricked into this position. He pleaded with me to let him massage me and I let him put his hands on my shoulders while my mind raced." In an attempt to escape the filmmaker, Zoe locked herself in the bathroom as Harvey pleaded with her to come out. After reprimanding Harvey through a locked door, Brock eventually emerged and found Weinstein whimpering on the bed: "Harvey, contrite, promised to cover himself and leave me alone. I came out of the bathroom and found him sitting on his bed, wearing a bathrobe, crying. 'You don't like me because I'm fat.' He whimpered." Tsk, tsk. Supposedly, the assistant tried to apologize as Zoe has claimed he told her: "'I'm so sorry,' he said. 'I want you to know that of all the girls he does this to you are the one I really felt bad about. You deserve better.'" Ben Silverman, if you're reading this, SHAME ON YOU. Smh. According to Zoe, Weinstein let her stay at his suite at the Majestic Hotel. However, after a friend warned her that Harvey would be back in the morning, the brunette fled the hotel room at 6 a.m. In an attempt to downplay the scandalous nature of their encounter, Harvey sent Zoe red roses and booked a private movie screening for her at the festival. Both presents were unwanted. Be sure to read Zoe's full account for yourself HERE. [Image via Facebook/WENN.].....»»

Jamie Lee Curtis SLAMS Donna Karan & "Brutish Thug" Harvey Weinstein While Talking About Being Sexually Harassed At Work

Hollywood is speaking up amid Harvey Weinstein's sexual harassment and assault scandal! With more and more celebs sharing their own horrifying experiences with the controversial producer, it's opening up a very overdue discussion in the industry. And Jamie Lee Curtis is doing so by slamming the argument that women are "asking for it," one Donna Karan recently given voice once again in defense of the movie mogul. Related: Kate Beckinsale Accuses Harvey Of Hitting On Her When She Was 17 The designer has since apologized, but the actress isn't here for it! In an op-ed piece published on Huffington Post, the star explained her disappointment with Donna -- all without naming her name: "I awoke to a statement, from an unlikely voice, that the women in question were perhaps 'asking for it.' Really? Is this how we have evolved? Is this what the women's movement, feminism and, more recently, the women's march has yielded? A fellow woman, one who makes her living dressing famous women in tight, sexy dresses and one who built her empire to do her good works all over the world, would throw these brave women under the bus in a weird, mean girl version of slut shaming?" Jamie continued, revealing she has been victim to sexual harassment at work: "I, too, have been subjected to my own private, personal versions of sexual harassment on the job. Did I ask for it? No. What I simply asked for was a job, and what came with it was sexual harassment." Furthering her point, she added: "What I believe we are all asking for in these instances, is a chance to show our talent, our humanity, a chance to express ourselves and our art and perhaps, be a part of a film that can truly create change." Using Prince's drug overdose as an example, the Scream Queens actress wondered if a "very famous person" had to die to affect change, like it did with opioid laws. When it comes to Harvey and sexual harassment though, she mused if there would be an end: "Perhaps this grotesque power play to 'get some' by this brutish thug of a man and the attempts by him, his lawyer, his board and famous friends to, once again, keep it under wraps and blame the victim will fail. Perhaps the truth will out other sexual harassment, be it from a governor or a president or a presidential candidate or studio head or movie star or executive or anyone else complicit in this billionaire boys club bullshit that will come to an inglorious end. To quote the great Helen Reddy, 'I am woman hear me roar, in numbers too big to ignore.'" Preach! Let's hope more and more stars continue to speak out! As you surely know, Harvey Weinstein has been ousted from The Weinstein Company following his sexual misconduct scandal. Not to mention, according to reports, the disgraced Hollywood heavyweight blames his brother and (now former) business partner, Bob Weinstein for allegedly leaking internal documents detailing decades of sexual harassment allegations to the New York Times. Related: Emma Thompson Slams "Predator" Weinstein While Bob hasn't confirmed this gossip, the 62-year-old has publicly denounced his brother and made it perfectly clear that he in no way condones his flesh-and-blood's behavior. Thus, a showdown is expected when the two brothers both tune in for TWC's Board of Directors meeting. Per TMZ, the Board of Directors has a meeting scheduled for Tuesday where they plan to discuss Harvey's firing. Reportedly, the scandalized industry titan will be present at the meeting via a speakerphone. In case you forgot, Harvey is currently in an Arizona based rehab facility where he is seeking treatment for sex addiction. The movie mogul's lawyer, Patty Glaser, will be in the room at the time of the meeting. It's said Glaser plans to address several points which prove that Harvey's firing violated his contract. Supposedly, TWC never gave Harvey a clear cut reason as to why he was being let go. Right, because it's ~such~ a mystery. *Eye roll* What's even crazier is that the attorney plans to argue that the elder Weinstein did nothing to violate his contract. As you may've heard, a provision was added to Harvey's contract back in 2015 which covers claims such as sexual harassment. The only requirement? Harvey was required to reimburse the company for any settlement and/or legal fees. Oh, and he'd have to pay a fine too. Related: Why Kate Winslet Refused To Thank Harvey In Oscar Speech! Since there were no claims brought against Harvey following the contract negotiation, his employment document should protect him. TWC isn't buying this defense as their code of conduct is what allowed them to let Harvey go. This contract dispute is likely to wind both Weinsteins up. It's believed that Bob, who is said to naturally be hot tempered, is livid about the drama and is expected to go off during the conference call. To make matters worse, if the company is unwilling to go through mediation and arbitration, Glaser will file a lawsuit on Harvey's behalf. An insider told the webloid: "There is so much crap that will be unearthed in a lawsuit, the company just can't survive it." Dramaaaaaa. The director -- who has worked with now-disgraced film exec Harvey Weinstein several times in his career -- just came out in a new interview with some thoughts about the whole Weinstein sexual harassment/sexual assault situation... and it ain't good. Related: Another (Very Detailed) Rape Allegation Comes Out Against Harvey Speaking to BBC Arabic, Allen started off by lamenting how sad the situation was... while also apologizing for Harvey himself (below): "The whole Harvey Weinstein thing is very sad for everybody involved. Tragic for the poor women that were involved, sad for Harvey that is life is so messed up. There's no winners in that, it's just very, very sad and tragic for those poor women that had to go through that." WTF, dude?! No!!! You don't HAVE to add that you're sorry for Harvey, or that his life is so messed up -- he did this to himself! He chose these actions! The women he victimized did not, but he did! Shame on you, Woody, for trying to empathize Harvey like he's a victim of his own making -- how is this so hard to understand?! Especially when you've got your OWN sexual abuse allegations to deal with, too?? Oh, but wait... it gets worse. Related: Harvey, Seriously, WTF Is THIS Shit?! After feeling sad for Harvey, Woody drops this little gem too (below): "You also don't want it to lead to a witch hunt atmosphere, a Salem atmosphere, where every guy in an office who winks at a woman is suddenly having to call a lawyer to defend himself. That's not right either." What. The. Fuck. The ink isn't even dry on these allegations as Hollywood is now maybe, finally forced to grapple with rampant sexism, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse issues that have plagued the industry for literally EVER... ...and look over here! Former filmmaker Louisette Geiss (above, left) claims the disgraced producer used a meeting about one of her films at the Sundance Film Festival to proposition her into watching him jerk off. Speaking from her attorney Gloria Allred's (above, right) offices on Tuesday, Geiss said in 2008, Weinstein invited her to the premiere of Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden. Related: Harvey's Scandal Has Fans Call For Boycott Of His Wife's Marchesa Line! After the screening, she agreed to meet him back at the restaurant hotel where they were both staying, but they were turned away because it was closing. Weinstein then innocently suggested they meet in his office attached to his hotel room. Fully aware of the rumors about the movie mogul, Geiss was hesitant at first, but agreed to join only as long as Weinstein promised he would not touch her. They even shook on it. At first, Geiss contends the meeting was great -- the two ended up having a "great conversation" about her movie, for which Harvey "seemed genuinely interested." But before the deal was sealed, the producer excused himself to go to the bathroom and re-emerged wearing a bathrobe -- under which, Geiss recalls he was "buck naked." Things got pretty weird from there. Geiss said Weinstein asked her to watch him masturbate and when she tried to leave, he grabbed her arm and "pleaded [she] watch him masturbate." If she agreed, Weinstein said he'd introduce her to Bob Weinstein (the nice brother you want to meet, apparently) and, according to Geiss, "green light [her] script, but [she'd] have to watch him masturbate." Related: Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Harvey Tried To Proposition Her After that, Geiss left. Not just the hotel room, but the movie industry completely. Allred, Geiss' attorney, said she's heard from several other women who say they are victims of unwanted advances from Weinstein, and that the statute of limitations for each alleged encounter has since expired. To show some mercy, Allred is "inviting [Weinstein] to agree to engage in an arbitration of these claims with these women" with an agreed upon retired judge. The attorney says the proposal is "similar to what [she] suggested to Bill Cosby" amid his sex scandal -- but the comedian "was not wise enough" to agree to it. Allred notes that Weinstein will be smart to agree if he ever intends on returning to Hollywood one day, as an arbitration could be a "positive step he could take to restore his battered reputation." We'd say Weinstein has nothing to lose , as his scandal already looks to be turning into the full Cosby. [Image via Facebook.].....»»

As we reported, on Thursday, The New York Times published a shocking exposé accusing Harvey Weinstein of "decades of sexual harassment," which has led him to reaching "at least eight settlements with women." While the movie producer released a statement to the newspaper saying he is "remorseful about the people I hurt," his lawyer Charles Harder announced plans for a lawsuit against the Times for publishing "a story that is saturated with false and defamatory statements." On Friday, Bloom appeared on Good Morning America where she explains why she is defending the 65-year-old amid the allegations. While she is not legally representing him in any lawsuit, she acts as his "adviser." Related: Gloria Allred Basically Shades The Fuck Out Of Daughter Host George Stephanopoulos began the interview by saying he is "surprised" that Lisa would stand by the Hollywood mogul given her history with sexual harassment cases. He said: "I have to say I'm surprised you're here this morning. You've been here and represented women who have taken on Bill Cosby and Bill O'Reilly, Donald Trump, sexual-harassment cases. Why did you switch sides in this case?" That's when the lawyer explained: "I've known Harvey for about a year and these rumors have swirled around him for a long time. And I said to him, you know, ‘What's going on? This is not OK.' And Harvey and I had a lot of frank conversations about this and when this New York Times story was about to break and Harvey expressed to me the same remorse that you see now, I said, 'We have to throw out the old playbook, OK? You're not going to be attacking women. You're not going to be disrespecting women. You're not going to be digging up dirt on them and embarrassing them. That's the tired old way to go. If you are genuinely remorseful, say so, admit what you've done wrong, apologize and let's have your actions speak for themselves."' While she admits his "workplace misconduct" is "gross" and "wrong," when asked if his behavior is "sexual harassment," Bloom tiptoed around the term. She said: "I think Harvey acknowledged, yes, there was misconduct over a period of years. He's big, loud guy. People are intimidated by him. I'm not—you know, I'm a big-mouth lawyer myself. I'll stand up to him. But if I'm a 23-year-old in his workplace, of course, they're intimidated." Watch the full interview (below): [Image via ABC News/YouTube.].....»»

As you likely know, the indie movie mogul has been fired from his company, The Weinstein Company, following The New York Times' exposé detailing three decades of sexual harassment allegations. While we knew journalist Ronan Farrow was conducting his own investigation into the matter for The New Yorker, we didn't realize his piece would contain allegations of rape against the scandalized producer. Related: George Clooney & Kevin Smith Denounce Harvey! Man, oh man. On Tuesday, The New Yorker published an explosive piece which alleges that Weinstein raped three women, including actress Asia Argento. Per Farrow's account, the industry vet forcibly performed and/or received oral sex. Harvey has also been accused of having forced vaginal sex with women. That is so disturbing on so many levels. On why Harvey is only just being exposed now, Argento explained to Farrow: "I know he has crushed a lot of people before. That's why this story—in my case, it's twenty years old, some of them are older—has never come out." Smh. How awful. The piece goes on to confirm that, in addition to the alleged rapes, four women have accused the disgraced filmmaker of forcing unwanted physical contact. Specifically, Weinstein is said to have exposed himself to female victims or masturbated in front of them. This is almost identical to the claims made by the Times. Weinstein has since denied the rape accusations as his spokesman noted in a statement: "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances. Mr. Weinstein obviously can't speak to anonymous allegations, but with respect to any women who have made allegations on the record, Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual." It's said Farrow has been working on this piece for months. Be sure to read the FULL story for yourself HERE! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Actress Gretchen Mol Shuts Down Rumors She Exchanged Sexual Favors With Harvey Weinstein!

Gretchen Mol is setting the record straight! Following Harvey Weinstein's sexual harassment scandal, on Tuesday, the Boardwalk Empire star wrote a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter where she confronts rumors she had a "transactional relationship" with the movie producer. Following Harvey Weinstein's sexual harassment scandal, on Tuesday, the Boardwalk Empire star wrote a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter where she confronts rumors she had a "transactional relationship" with the movie producer. According to the 44-year-old, it all started when a false blind item about her began circulating around the tabloids. Related: Gretchen Mol Gives Birth To Baby Girl! Mol writes: "For 10 years or so, I've been aware of rumors that I had some kind of transactional relationship with Harvey Weinstein. They seemed to start on a gossip website that made money by peddling 'blind' items. A few facts had been taken from my Wikipedia page, were combined with stories about a movie mogul who was known for harassing women, quotes from 'reliable sources' were added and a malicious, viral rumor was born."' Although Gretchen spoke to Jodi Kantor -- who cowrote the now-famous New York Times exposé about Weinstein -- and Ronan Farrow, she knew her account wouldn't be published because "it's not newsworthy." However, the thespian wants to make it clear she did not "exchange sexual favors" with the mogul in order to advance her career! She writes: "No. I did not exchange sexual favors with Harvey Weinstein, or anyone, for advancement in my career. I was never paid any settlement. The truth is that I have never been alone in a room with Harvey Weinstein. The extent of my interactions with him has been a handful of polite hellos at various premieres and award shows. This is in no way a defense of this person, it is merely a statement of fact." Although she personally did not have an inappropriate encounter with Weinstein, she still condones his alleged actions, and champions the alleged victims for bravely coming forward. "I am angry and disgusted about Harvey Weinstein's abuse of power and his shameless assaults against women. This kind of abuse of women is grossly familiar, and for many of us, it's hard to muster up surprise. I feel deeply for the women who had to deal with and navigate his incredibly entitled, bullying, revolting and inexcusable behavior. I am grateful to them and applaud their bravery in speaking out." Bob Weinstein Slams "Very Sick" Brother Harvey Amid Sexual Harassment Scandal

Harvey Weinstein‘s brother Bob is speaking out against to slam his brother amid his sexual harassment scandal. Bob – who is a co-founder and board member in the Weinstein Company – says his brother is releasing fake stories to reflect the heat away from him. “My brother Harvey is obviously a very sick man,” Bob told TMZ. “I’ve urged him to seek immediate professional help because he is in dire need of it. His remorse and apologies to the victims of his abuse are hollow. He said he would go away for help and has yet to do so.” Harvey is reportedly blaming Bob for leaking the sexual harassment story to the NY Times in order to get him removed from the production company. Bob continues: “He has proven himself to be a world class liar and now rather than seeking help he is looking to blame others. His assertion is categorically untrue from A to Z. I pray he gets the help that he needs and I believe that it is him behind all of these stories to distract from his own failure to get help.” Since women started coming forward against Harvey, the movie producer has lost both his job and his wife......»»

Director Says He Was Kicked Off Movie After Harvey Weinstein Didn"t Find His Lead Actress "Fuckable"

"I don't cast films according to Harvey Weinstein's erection." — A quote from director Michael Caton-Jones that should have been published twenty years ago, but wasn't. According to a new interview with Buzzfeed, the Scottish filmmaker was kicked off production of B. Monkey because his pick for lead actress wasn't "fuckable," to use Weinstein's term. The role [...] "I don't cast films according to Harvey Weinstein's erection." -- A quote from director Michael Caton-Jones that should have been published twenty years ago, but wasn't. According to a new interview with Buzzfeed, the Scottish filmmaker was kicked off production of B. Monkey because his pick for lead actress wasn't "fuckable," to use Weinstein's term. The role went to Asia Argento instead of British starlet Sophie Okonedo. As we know now, Argento has accused the Hollywood honcho of raping her in 1997. Related: Molly Ringwald Describes YEARS Of Sexual Harassment Caton-Jones first worked with Weinstein 10 years prior on the 1989 film Scandal, when he noted Harvey would only show up to set for sex scenes. They crossed paths again when the Weinstein brothers were attached to the 1998 cult classic. The director said of the extensive casting process: "The basics of the deal was we were going to find an unknown and we were going to cast her as the lead in the film. There was extensive casting. We saw many, many girls, maybe 100 or so. And I ended up — I thought Sophie Okonedo would have been great for the part." "The trouble began" when Sophie and Michael met with Harvey at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills for approval: "Harvey kept saying to me, ‘Do you think she is fuckable?'... That was what the deal was all the time. I said, ‘She is the best actress for the job, Harvey.' And we started arguing about it. It was only when I said to Harvey, ‘Don't screw up the casting of this film because you want to get laid,' whereupon he went mental." When Michael returned to his room to cool off from the argument, he received a call from Variety requesting a comment for a story about him walking off set. Harvey was already covering his tracks. He recalled: "I was furious after being kicked off my film, and I told them all about what happened. I told them about the harassment claims, and I said 'Here is your quote: I don't cast films according to Harvey Weinstein's erection,' and they just laughed." When asked about why his response wasn't included in the original story, a spokesman for the outlet said they couldn't comment on editorial decisions made that long ago under different ownership: "As you know, the publication is under different ownership now, and therefore, we don't have a comment on previous editorial practices." Not long after the incident, Harvey gave Michael Radford the gig as director and cast Argento as the lead. Related: France Planning New Street Harassment Laws According to Caton-Jones' impression of Weinstein: "Sophie Okonedo was not fuckable and that was it. Find someone who is." Even though he was applauded by his close circle for how he handled Harvey's gross behavior, the director still faced repercussions: "I was the stupid one who stood up and told him to go to hell. I stood up to him and told him to go fuck himself. And I got a lot of support from a lot of people when I did that, but you know, I didn't make the film, so he won." As for those saying they were unaware of what was going on all these years, Michael said: "Anyone who didn't know, didn't want to know. It's like Germany after the Second World War — I've never seen so many people not knowing anything. I certainly knew what was going on at the time. And everyone around us pretty much all knew what the score was. You only had to spend five minutes with Harvey to get the nature of the man. He didn't particularly hide who he was." On Tuesday, the Mean Girls alum took to Instagram to defend Harvey Weinstein amid his sexual misconduct scandal. In case you've missed the drama, the indie movie mogul has been ousted from his company and has entered rehab for sex addiction following many allegations of rape and sexual harassment. Related: Hilarie Burton Accuses Ben Affleck Of Groping Her On TRL Thus, it's pretty fucking shocking that LiLo has decided to stand by the Hollywood heavyweight during this scandalous time. In a since-deleted Instagram story, Miz Lohan expressed: "I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don't think it's right what's going on." Hmmm, we think Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and Ashley Judd would all disagree with you, Linds! The 31-year-old then weighed in on Harvey's wife Georgina Chapman's decision to leave the industry titan. Alongside a halo-clad smiley sticker, a black-and-white filtered Lindsay noted: "I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband." Ummmm, no. We think Georgina needs to do what's best for her and her children. The former Disney darling didn't stop there as she vouched for Harvey professionally: "And he's never harmed me or did anything wrong to me. We've done several movies together, and so I think everyone needs to stop. I think it's wrong. So stand up." This statement doesn't appear to be entirely accurate as only two of Lohan's films have involved Weinstein in a credited role. Specifically, Weinstein served as an executive producer on Scary Movie 5 and (alongside his brother, Bob Weinstein) got a "Special Thanks" credit for 2006's Bobby. Huh. On Thursday, actress Claire Forlani took to Twitter to reveal that she escaped sexual harassment from Weinstein on FIVE different occasions. How awful!!! Related: The Weinstein Co. Totally Knew About Harvey's Settlements With Victims! The 45-year-old, who appeared in the Miramax-distributed Boys and Girls, shared with her followers: "You see, nothing happened to me with Harvey — by that I mean, I escaped 5 times... I had two Peninsula Hotel meetings in the evening with Harvey and all I remember was I ducked, dived and ultimately got out of there without getting slobbered over, well just a bit. Yes, massage was suggested. The three dinners with Harvey I don't really remember the time period, I was 25. I remember him telling me all the actresses who had slept with him and what he had done for them. I wasn't drinking the cool aid [sic], I knew Harvey was a master manipulator. He also announced to me at the last dinner I had with him at Dominic's that his pilot knew to be on standby because he could never get me to sleep with him, to which I did what I always did, make light of the situation, a joke here or there and moved on. You see, I always thought I was a pro at handling these guys, I'd had a fair amount of experience. Sometimes I got angry, really angry. I wondered why I had Prey stamped on my forehead but this I kept to myself." We feel just awful for Miz Forlani. Although the Meet Joe Black star wanted to speak out against Weinstein for Ronan Farrow's New Yorker piece, she ultimately decided not to comment for the story. Why?? Well, because, her friends advised her not to. The Meet Joe Black star definitely regrets not speaking with Farrow, as she continued: "[Farrow] didn't mention that it was about Harvey but when I received the email I instinctively knew it was going to be. I told some close men around me and they all advised me not to speak. I had already told Ronan I would speak with him but from the advice around me, interestingly the male advice around me, I didn't make the call. Today I sit here feeling some shame, like I'm not a woman supporting other women. I just read Mira Sorvino's article in Time and she writes of how scared she was to speak out and participate. I take little solace in that." We're just proud that Claire is speaking out now. Sadly, Forlani's experience with Weinstein isn't the only negative one she has faced in Hollywood. Per Claire's statement, she had another "disgusting" encounter with a director who harassed Thandie Newton. She added: "I remember when Thandie Newton spoke out about a director that I had also had a disgusting experience with and I felt scared even reading what she said publicly about him, thinking, ‘Damn, she's gonna get crucified for that. 'Yet I was in awe for her bravery and balls, she was a female crusader, modern suffragette and I loved her for it. But I also knew I didn't have those balls, too scared of the repercussions this was because when you did react or tell a man to shove it, there were always repercussions. I was punished when I was brave. So I learned to let it go and carry on." Don't be so hard on yourself, Claire! There's no easy way to take on a predator. Hopefully, there are enough admissions that have come out to solidify the indie movie mogul's excommunication from Hollywood. Fingers crossed. Calling him a "serial sexual predator," the anonymous group of reportedly almost 30 staff members condemn his actions in the pointed piece. Related: The Weinstein Company Is In TROUBLE They add they are aware their statement violates their non-disclosure agreement, but feel Harvey violated their contracts' promise to a safe work environment with his alleged harassment and assault. They wrote: "We came to work at this company because we love movies. We grew up watching Miramax films, and came to associate that name, and later the name Weinstein, with great storytelling... All of us were excited to get the job, proud to be working for a company with such an illustrious history. We all knew that we were working for a man with an infamous temper. We did not know we were working for a serial sexual predator. We knew that our boss could be manipulative. We did not know that he used his power to systematically assault and silence women. We had an idea that he was a womanizer who had extra-marital affairs. We did not know he was a violent aggressor and alleged rapist." They continued: "Our company was built on Harvey's unbridled ambition – his aggressive deal-making, his insatiable desire to win and get what he wanted, his unabashed love for celebrity – these traits were legendary, and the art they produced made an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. But we now know that behind closed doors, these were the same traits that made him a monster. He created a toxic ecosystem where his abuse could flourish unchecked for decades." The group of employees also asked to be released from the NDAs in their contracts so they can "speak openly, and get to the origins of what happened here, and how." TWC's staff also shared their support for the brave women who have shared their stories about Harvey: "We unequivocally support all the women who have come forward, many of whom we count among our own friends and colleagues. Thank you for speaking out. When the New York Times and The New Yorker articles broke, we wept. We see you, we admire you, and we are in this fight alongside you." Additionally, any reports of them being "honeypots" and being complicit in his behaviors are "disgusting": "And while we can only speak for the people represented in this statement, none of us ever knowingly acted as a so-called ‘honeypot.' That is disgusting and renders us all victims of Harvey's disgraceful behavior." You can read the statement in its entirety HERE! [Image via Media Punch.].....»»
