Openly Gay Olympian Gus Kenworthy Dishes About Feeling "Crazy Guilty" After Making Out With Miley Cyrus!

Gus Kenworthy was conflicted AF after making out with Miley Cyrus. The openly gay Olympian admitted this during his Tuesday appearance on the Allegedly podcast. [...] Gus Kenworthy was conflicted AF after making out with Miley Cyrus. The openly gay Olympian admitted this during his Tuesday appearance on the Allegedly podcast. Apparently, the freestyle skier's encounter with Miz Cyrus started with a comment the athlete made during a panel while at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Related: OUT Magazine's Power 50 List! When asked which A-lister he'd like to get with, Kenworthy wasn't sure what to say as Russia has several anti-LGBT policies in place. The 25-year-old explained: "I was sitting there like, ‘Do I say Zac Efron or Jake Gyllenhaal and play it off like I'm joking?' I didn't know what to do and so I was like, 'Um … Miley Cyrus.'" Somehow Gus' comment got back to the Malibu singer, who reached out to the silver medalist via Twitter. Kenworthy continued: "Miley tweets me back and follows me and starts messaging me and I'm like, 'Oh, my God, this is fucking crazy. We're friends and she's a gay icon.'" LOLz. The then single Miley went on to invite Gus and his pals to her 2014 Bangerz Tour stop in Denver, Colorado. The concert was more than just a meet and greet as Cyrus and the celebrated skier took their friendship to another level. The Brit dished: "[My friends and I] all went to the show and then partied with her afterwards and it was really cool. We never slept together. I had the opportunity, but we had a makeout. It was great! She's really, really sweet and I've hung out with her a few times since. She's back with Liam [Hemsworth]— she wasn't at that time — and I got to meet him a couple of times and they're great." While Gus "enjoyed" his encounter with Miley, something just didn't feel right about the situation. Remember, the British competitor didn't come out until 2015. Gus added: "I had fun, but I also felt like really crazy guilty afterwards. And I wasn't sure if it was because I was maybe doing something that was like, ‘Does everybody feel guilty after doing this? Or is it because I'm gay and really hiding it?' But I was able to do it and enjoyed it kind of. And I also felt like it was what I was supposed to be doing." Talk about a crisis of confidence! Nonetheless, these days, Gus couldn't be more confidant in his sexuality as he's currently enjoying a "kind of" open relationship with Matthew Wilkas. In regards to his relationship status, the athletic cutie noted: "We're [interested in exploring] other people. If there's an opportunity we're both open for that and we're very communicative about it. He's really easy to get along with. He's like the sweetest guy, honestly. He's super funny. It's long-distance so it poses challenges, but we make it work." Cool, so where do we send our digits?? KIDDING! Be sure to ch-ch-check out Gus' full interview for yourself (below)! The 26-year-old Olympic freestyle skier took to Instagram on Friday (February 23) during the 2018 Winter Olympics to reveal that he and his boyfriend Matthew Wilkas rescued a puppy named Beemo from one of South Korea’s many dog meat farms. “This morning Matt and I had a heart-wrenching visited to one of the 17,000 dog farms here in South Korea,” Gus captioned the slideshow below. “Across the country there are 2.5 million dogs being raised for food in some of the most disturbing conditions imaginable. Yes, there is an argument to be made that eating dogs is a part of Korean culture. And, while [I] don’t personally agree with it, I do agree that it’s not my place to impose western ideals on the people here. The way these animals are being treated, however, is completely inhumane and culture should never be a scapegoat for cruelty.” Beemo was one of 90 dogs living in cold, cramped outdoor cages and neglectful, cruel conditions. Good news: Gus shared that the farm they visited is being shut down, and all of the pups are being flown to the U.S. and Canada, where they will be put up for adoption with the help of Humane Society International. “I’m hoping to use this visit as an opportunity to raise awareness to the inhumanity of the dog meat trade here in Korea and the plight of dogs everywhere, including back home in the US where millions of dogs are in need of loving homes!” Gus added. “Go to @hsiglobal’s page to see how you can help.” Gus also rescued five stray dogs at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. See his full post below. This morning Matt and I had a heart-wrenching visited to one of the 17,000 dog farms here in South Korea. Across the country there are 2.5 million dogs being raised for food in some of the most disturbing conditions imaginable. Yes, there is an argument to be made that eating dogs is a part of Korean culture. And, while don't personally agree with it, I do agree that it's not my place to impose western ideals on the people here. The way these animals are being treated, however, is completely inhumane and culture should never be a scapegoat for cruelty. I was told that the dogs on this particular farm were kept in "good conditions" by comparison to other farms. The dogs here are malnourished and physically abused, crammed into tiny wire-floored pens, and exposed to the freezing winter elements and scorching summer conditions. When it comes time to put one down it is done so in front of the other dogs by means of electrocution sometimes taking up to 20 agonizing minutes. Despite the beliefs of the Korean public at large, these dogs are no different from the ones we call pets back home. Some of them were even pets at one time and were stolen or found and sold into the dog meat trade. Luckily, this particular farm (thanks to the hard work of the Humane Society International and the cooperation of a farmer who's seen the error of his ways) is being permanently shut down and all 90 of the dogs here will be brought to the US and Canada where they'll find their fur-ever homes. I adopted the sweet baby in the first pic (we named her Beemo) and she'll be coming to the US to live with me as soon as she's through with her vaccinations in a short couple of weeks. I cannot wait to give her the best life possible! There are still millions of dogs here in need of help though (like the Great Pyrenees in the 2nd pic who was truly the sweetest dog ever). I'm hoping to use this visit as an opportunity to raise awareness to the inhumanity of the dog meat trade here in Korea and the plight of dogs everywhere, including back home in the US where millions of dogs are in need of loving homes! The 26-year-old skier took to Twitter on Thursday (February 15) to reveal he broke his thumb at practice, and shared that because of it he won’t have to shake Vice President Mike Pence‘s hand because of it. “Broke my thumb yesterday in practice. It won’t stop me from competing (obvi) but it does prevent me from shaking Pence’s hand so… Silver linings! Will be giving my teammates (and literally everyone else) an enthusiastic “thumbs up!” of encouragement the rest of the trip,” Gus tweeted along with an X-ray of his thumb. Gus – who came out as gay in 2015 – and figure skater Adam Rippon are two of the only openly gay athletes competing for Team USA at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Gus and Adam have been extremely vocal in their criticism of Pence being selected to lead the United States’ delegation in South Korea despite his strong anti-LGBTQ views. Jean-Claude Van Damme & Green Power Ranger Jason David Frank Almost Got Into A Fight At Comic-Con — Get The Crazy Story!

A brawl from the stuff of Comic-Con fan-fiction nearly became a reality when Jean-Claude Van Damme *almost* threw down with Green Power Ranger Jason David Frank over the weekend! For those who don't know, the two stars have had an ongoing beef since Van Damme and Frank exchanged nasty words at the 1995 premiere of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. Yes, this feud goes way back. Frank publically challenged Van Damme to a fight in 2010, but the Bloodsport star never responded... until La Mole Comic-Con on Saturday! Frank was asked to share his green room with the Belgian action star and his 20-person entourage at the Mexico City convention. Frank agreed, despite their turbulent past, but soon learned Van Damme was still holding a grudge. Related: Male Models Got Into A Huge Brawl In NYC! After signing autographs at the event, Frank went back to his green room to find that Van Damme's security staff was blocking off anyone from entering -- including the person the room was arranged for in the first place. Rather than make a stink about it, Frank secured a different room from an event promoter and got some food and rest while waiting for Van Damme to leave his room. As the MMA fighter was speaking with the promoter about a future engagement, a member of Van Damme's entourage told him that the action star insisted they take a photo together before leaving. After Van Damme's crew came out with a bunch of cameras, Frank knew it was "all a setup" -- and he was right, because that's when Van Damme confronted him demanding an apology! Speaking to FloCombat, the Green Ranger remembered: "All of his crew comes out and everybody has their cameras out and he has this professional camera, I'm not sure if he's shooting a reality show or what, but all the cameras are on and he comes out of the room and straight up to me and he goes, 'Hey you like writing articles about people, you want to beat my ass? You gonna apologize for that?' And I said nope. He goes, 'You think you can still beat my ass?' and I said yeah." With the cameras rolling, Van Damme said if Frank wanted a fight, "let's throw down." But apparently, the 57-year-old was all talk! After the two stars squared up against each other, both agreeing to an MMA-style brawl, Frank grabbed Van Damme and put him in a headlock against the wall. Video: Harry Styles' Kiwi Video Is Full Of Food Fights & Puppies! Van Damme froze up, however, seemingly taken back that Frank was actually ready to fight at Comic-Con. Frank explained: "I clinched him up and pushed him back, not in a violent way, in a respectful way that if you want to do this, let's do this. The whole time everybody is filming me and no security people are coming but everybody in his entourage is filming. So I clinched up with him and put him against the wall and he's talking and he froze up and I raised my knee and said, 'Do you want to this?' and he doesn't do anything so I let go." It was only after security broke up the fight that Van Damme got cocky once again, Frank continued: "Security came and broke it up and that's when he starts saying, 'Fuck you,' and I told him come on. Why don't you come in the cage or the ring? Why are you doing this at Comic Con?" Maybe JC was just trying to do a bit of live theater for the crowds? Or, more likely, didn't think the former Power Ranger would be down to throw fists in the middle of the convention. Looking back on the encounter, Frank said he's not holding a grudge against his one-time idol. But he's also never going to back down from a fight, especially one that was ambushed on him. American idols Adam Rippon and Gus Kenworthy star on the cover of OUT Magazine's newest issue, which debuted on Thursday! The Olympians looked as hot as ever in the black-and-white image (above) -- and oh yeah, they're shirtless, too! In the interview, the athletes open up about how their friendship blossomed IRL after connecting online and how close they've gotten since competing at PyeongChang! Not to mention, their experience as out and proud American athletes! Seriously, we're so proud. Related: Adam Rippon Has A Boyfriend! Adam said of their initial meeting at the opening ceremony: "You know, it was really important for me to find Gus. We joke around a lot, but being able to experience the opening ceremony with somebody that I know has felt a lot of those same feelings as me was important. I thought of everything I had been through as a young kid to get to that moment, and to feel confident, and to feel that I really liked who I was." Gus added: "The opening ceremony is obviously a very big deal — it's ceremonial, and a rite of passage in a way. But I didn't have the best Olympics experience the first time around, in Sochi. I felt like a fraud. I wasn't being myself. I had a boyfriend at the time that I wasn't telling anybody about — and I wasn't out to my parents. And then post-Games every interviewer asked me, "Who's your celebrity crush? What's your type of girl? What's your ideal date?" And I was just lying. And I hated myself for it. So to be in Pyeongchang, and get to walk into this huge stadium as myself, as an out gay man, and do it alongside Adam was the biggest, best moment of my entire life. And that was why it was so important for me to find him. Because I felt like we had the same story, and I wanted to share that moment with him. It was the highlight of the entire Games for me." Of being out gay athletes representing people back home who are against you (looking at you, Mike Pence), Gus said: "I got so many messages, like, "Why are you even there? You got last place." Well, first of all, I didn't get last place, I made it to the final. But also, I was at the fucking Olympics. I didn't get here because I'm a gay athlete — it wasn't handed to me. I qualified the same way that everyone else did. It took a lot of fucking grit and gumption and hard work to get to this position. Anyone that discredits it is truly just a troll. But also, it does suck. Being out was such a fucking cool experience, but no straight athletes were checking their messages or comments the day before their event and seeing death threats and super-hurtful shit from internet bullies. The day before my event I read messages that were like, "I hope you fall, I hope you break your legs, you're a piece of shit." I had a message that was like, "I want to curb stomp you, you faggot." I'm like, OK, cool, there's someone out there that wants to put my teeth on a curb and stomp on my neck. It takes a lot to read that about yourself and know that there are people out there that don't want you to succeed." Adam added of his experience: "And then you go and represent those people. I'm an American representing the United States of America, and I would get a pit in my stomach every time there was somebody on social media with an American flag in their name. The most consistent message I got was, "I hope you fail, I hope you fall. I've never cheered against someone in my entire life." That was really consistent — it was pretty much across the board. That somebody could go out of their way to say they're proud of their country and that they love it, and they're a patriot, and then turn around and taunt their athletes is incredibly disrespectful. They're the opposite of a patriot. You don't represent America. You represent you and your family and your small-minded whatever. That's not American." Hear, hear! We highly recommend you ch-ch-check out the full interview and HOT pics HERE!! [Image via OUT Magazine.].....»»
