One Of Danny Masterson"s Rape Accusers Calls Out Netflix For Renewing The Ranch — "Our Pain Means Nothing"

While Netflix has cut ties with the likes of Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K., one of Danny Masterson's accusers is wondering why nothing has been done to address The Ranch actor. As we reported, there is an ongoing investigation into four sexual assaults including rape stemming from incidents that happened in the early '00s. Even after Masterson was exposed, Netflix renewed the show starring Ashton Kutcher for a fourth season. As the streaming company remains silent, alleged victim Chrissie Carnell Bixler told The Daily Beast that she "can no longer be silent." Related: Daniel Franzese Accuses Bijou Phillips Of Mocking His Sexuality She said in a statement: "I was sick when I read Netflix's statement on continuing with The Ranch and continuing their working relationship with a man who has violently raped and abused so many women. Four months after the story broke, and the LAPD confirmed a criminal investigation, Netflix ordered another season of The Ranch. After the HuffPost piece, and the journalist reaching out 15 times to get a statement from Netflix, [they] ultimately said they will continue to work with Masterson until something develops. (Not the actual quote obviously.)" Bixler went on: "For me, what Netflix has done, feels like a continuation of how the Church of Scientology made me feel when I reported my rape to them, as well as how Danny Masterson made me feel when I would beg him for an apology, an explanation, anything. I was made to feel unimportant. I was made to feel like I didn't matter. Like what Danny Masterson did to me didn't matter. My body doesn't matter, because it doesn't belong to me. The trauma and emotional pain doesn't matter, because I just don't matter. ‘Danny Masterson is a celebrity. He flourishes and prospers in life. You protect that and reward that.' -direct quote from the Church of Scientology. I don't matter. The other women don't matter. Our pain means nothing, and we should be good little girls and shut our mouths. No! I'm going to be an amazing woman who will NOT shut my mouth when I find out my rapist raped countless other women. I will NOT shut my mouth when Netflix tries to make us feel like we don't matter. We DO matter. We ARE important. We will see justice for what was done to us, and is continuing to be done to us...and for all those who knew/know and are either actively helping this serial rapist or are choosing to stay silent...YOU don't matter. Victims are taking back the power that was stolen from us, and things are going to change. Netflix should write that down." So far, no word from Masterson -- but he was spotted out to dinner in Los Angeles last night with an unidentified woman. Why do U think Netflix seems to be dragging its feet?? We’ve really learned from our mistakes, but there really weren’t any major mistakes made.” “Yes, we’ve made some changes, but if you talk to the cast, they’ve always been the most important thing to us — taking care of them and their safety,” Chris continued. “And as far as alcohol goes, that’s never been a big thing for us. That’s a big misconception of the show — that we push it, and that we need it and we want it. But that really doesn’t help us. Someone being sloppy drunk and being out of it does not give us good television… On the contrary, we want people to be of their right mind and give us a better story to show. So while we’re going to talk about rules and talk about certain things and have a dialogue, you’re not going to notice major changes.”.....»»

Harvey Weinstein Gives First Interview Since Times Exposé: "They Told Me Lies"

As we reported, on Thursday, The New York Times published a shocking report accusing Harvey Weinstein of "decades of sexual harassment," which has led him to reaching "at least eight settlements with women." Although the movie producer released a statement to the newspaper saying he is "remorseful about the people I hurt and I plan to do right by all of them," his lawyer Charles Harder announced plans for a lawsuit against the Times for publishing "a story that is saturated with false and defamatory statements." Related: These Celebs Have Been Accused Of Sexual Misconduct! So why is The Weinstein Company co-founder apologizing for his bad behavior, yet suing the newspaper for calling him out on it? On the same day, Harvey gave an interview to Page Six where he tries clarify the confusion. He said: "What I am saying is that I bear responsibility for my actions, but the reason I am suing is because of the Times' inability to be honest with me, and their reckless reporting. They told me lies. They made assumptions... The Times had a deal with us that they would tell us about the people they had on the record in the story, so we could respond appropriately, but they didn't live up to the bargain... The Times editors were so fearful they were going to be scooped by New York Magazine and they would lose the story, that they went ahead and posted the story filled with reckless reporting, and without checking all they had with me and my team." In fact, he believes the publication is out to make him look bad. "They never wrote about the documentary I did with JAY-Z about Rikers Island, they never write that I raised $50 million for amfAR, nor my work with Robin Hood – instead they focus on trying to bring me down. This is a vendetta, and the next time I see Dean Baquet [the executive editor of the Times] it will be across a courtroom." Weinstein believes the chunk of their story is predicated on a 2014 memo written by employee and sexual harassment accuser Lauren O'Connor. "The Times used that entire memo as the basis of their story, but in reality it was withdrawn two days after it was written, O'Connor withdrew her complaint, and withdrew her claims made in the memo. The document doesn't stand up." As for Ashley Judd, who went on record accusing him of an inappropriate interaction at the Peninsula Beverly Hills: "They spent six months researching this article then they gave us just 24 hours to answer it. They did tell us that Ashley Judd was on record, but we thought it would be along the lines of what she told Variety." In 2015, the actress told Variety she was sexually harassed by an anonymous movie executive. Harvey continues: "But she changed her story when giving it to the Times. I know Ashley Judd is going through a tough time right now, I read her book [her memoir All That Is Bitter and Sweet], in which she talks about being the victim of sexual abuse and depression as a child. Her life story was brutal, and I have to respect her. In a year from now I am going to reach out to her... I never laid a glove on her." In regards to his alleged eight case settlements: "No company ever talks about settlements, and neither does the recipient, so I don't know how the Times came to this conclusion, but it is pure conjecture, the reporters have made assumptions." However, the studio executive sees the error of his ways, and knows he has "to work on my temper." "I have got to change, I've got to grow, I've got to deal with my personality, I've got to work on my temper, I have got to dig deep. I know a lot of people would like me to go into a facility, and I may well just do that – I will go anywhere I can learn more about myself. I want to be able to look at the people I have hurt and say, 'I am sorry, I have changed and I've progressed.' I am terribly embarrassed for my company, my staff and the only person who could fix this is me. I am going to fix myself, I am going to fix how I deal with women and how I deal with my temper and power."' Despite the drama, wife Georgina Chapman is standing by her man. "She stands 100 percent behind me. Georgina and I have talked about this at length. We went out with Lisa Bloom last night when we knew the article was coming out. Georgina will be with Lisa and others kicking my ass to be a better human being and to apologize to people for my bad behavior, to say I'm sorry, and to absolutely mean it." On the flip side, the New York Times refuses to back down to Harvey's legal threats and is "confident in the accuracy" of its reporting. A spokesperson said: "Mr. Weinstein was aware and able to respond to specific allegations in our story before publication. In fact, we published his response in full." What do U think? On Wednesday night, The New York Times published its most disturbing piece on Donald Trump yet -- an interview with him. The POTUS' take on being under investigation shows a terrifying lack of self awareness and accountability. And while that may not be new, Drumpf going after his own people is. Related: SNL Writer Responds To Donald Trump's Tweets Like They're Texts In particular Trump revealed he's upset with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who recused himself from the Russia investigation after it came out he had lied in his confirmation hearings about having any contact with members of the Russian government (he had met twice with Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak). The President said of the AG he appointed: "Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president. How do you take a job and then recuse yourself? If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, ‘Thanks, Jeff, but I'm not going to take you.' It's extremely unfair — and that's a mild word — to the president... Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else." Damn! Trump really thought he was going to have the Justice Department in his pocket! As for Sessions, he tried to brush off the POTUS' comments on Thursday morning, but it was clear he was rattled. Ch-ch-check out the moment he's asked about the comments (below)! His little eyes look like they're welling up with tears! We never thought we'd feel bad for Jefferson Beauregard Sessions. ... OK, we're over it. Related: Trump's Son, Son-In-Law, & Former Campaign Manager Will ALL Testify About Russia Meeting The other two key things Trump did in the interview? First, he made it VERY clear he doesn't think his team's interaction with Russian agents or his obstruction of justice charges are a big deal, saying: "I don't think we're under investigation. I'm not under investigation. For what? I didn't do anything wrong." He said his secret second meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G20 Summit was just 15 minutes of chit chat, mostly about adoption -- even though witnesses say it was a solid hour. Second, he was as obvious as a child holding something behind his back when it came to special counsel Robert Mueller extending his investigation to the Trump family's business dealings, saying that would cross a line: "I would say yes... I think that's a violation. Look, this is about Russia." Not too surprising he doesn't want to be investigated. Remember, there's a reason he won't release his tax returns. We're talking about a family that takes money from children's charities. [Image via NBC News.].....»»

Following The New York Times' explosive exposé on Harvey Weinstein and claims of his decades of sexual harassment, many are left wondering how this was allowed to go on for so long. Well, it appears as though the boys' club in Hollywood enabled the indie movie mogul's behavior. Related: Model Zoe Brock Details Being "Harveyed" What do we mean exactly?? Apparently, this isn't the first time a piece about Weinstein's gross conduct has been written, as a similar story was drafted back in 2004. The reason it never saw the light of day is because Damon and Crowe allegedly helped Weinstein gut the investigation into a practically nothing piece. Sharon Waxman, founder of The Wrap, made these bold claims in a new story on Sunday. The longtime journalist revealed: "In 2004, I was still a fairly new reporter at The New York Times when I got the green light to look into oft-repeated allegations of sexual misconduct by Weinstein. It was believed that many occurred in Europe during festivals and other business trips there. I traveled to Rome and tracked down the man who held the plum position of running Miramax Italy. According to multiple accounts, he had no film experience and his real job was to take care of Weinstein's women needs, among other things." Ew. We're sure that job must've been a literal nightmare. She continued: "As head of Miramax Italy in 2003 and 2004, Fabrizio Lombardo was paid $400,000 for less than a year of employment... I had people on the record telling me Lombardo knew nothing about film, and others citing evenings he organized with Russian escorts." At the time, Lombardo denied the allegations about his job responsibilities AND "declined to comment on the circumstances of his leaving Miramax." Nonetheless, Waxman tracked down a London-based woman who had been paid off following an "unwanted sexual encounter with Weinstein." While the unnamed woman was too scared to comment on the harassment because of the non-disclosure agreement she signed, evidence of a pay off was supplied. Despite all of this evidence, Sharon's initial report of the situation never ran -- and here's where Damon and Crowe come in. Waxman relayed: "After intense pressure from Weinstein, which included having Matt Damon and Russell Crowe call me directly to vouch for Lombardo and unknown discussions well above my head at the Times, the story was gutted. I was told at the time that Weinstein had visited the newsroom in person to make his displeasure known. I knew he was a major advertiser in the Times, and that he was a powerful person overall." Still, the Times had a journalistic responsibility to publish the story, right? Wrong. The businesswoman added: "The story was stripped of any reference to sexual favors or coercion and buried on the inside of the Culture section, an obscure story about Miramax firing an Italian executive. Who cared? The Times' then-culture editor Jon Landman, now an editor-at-large for Bloomberg, thought the story was unimportant, asking me why it mattered." How awful. And shame on anyone who would help enable Harvey's predatory ways. We're just glad that people are speaking out now. [Image via WENN.].....»»

As we previously reported, The Agency For The Performing Arts (APA) began an independent internal investigation after two men, Blaise Godbe Lipman and Lucas Ozarowski, came forward and accused the Hollywood agent of sexual misconduct. Ever since this upsetting news hit the press, more victims have come forward to detail their unsavory experiences with the industry vet. Related: Former Grindr Employee Allegedly Drugged & Raped By HR Supervisor At least eight young men have gone on the record to accuse Grasham of sexual harassment and/or assault. Five of the accusers told the Los Angeles Times that Tyler made unwanted sexual advances on them when they were intoxicated -- and not yet at a legal drinking age. Here are some of their accounts... Jack Edwards was 15-years-old when he met Grasham in London back in 2010. Apparently, through mutual friends, Edwards was invited to attend a West End show with Tyler and one of the agent's clients. Things became inappropriate pretty quickly when Tyler, who was in his 40s at the time, allegedly started buying drinks for the youngsters. Somehow Jack ended up back in Tyler's hotel room and took a pill the powerhouse reportedly promised would calm his anxiety. The next day, Jack awoke with the inability to move and, he says, discovered Tyler fondling his genitals. A friend of Jack's, who was in the next bed, has confirmed that he heard his friend struggling. A month later, Grasham reached out to Jack and asked for the young actor's headshot and resume. According to George Todd McLachlan, back when he was an underage actor, the agent had the youth stay with him at his home. During his stay, Tyler allegedly kissed and slept in the same bed as Todd McLachlan. He was only 16 or 17 at the time. Grasham also reached out to actor Brady Lindsey via social media when he was only 16. Apparently, for two years, Tyler asked the Utah teen to be in a relationship with him. When Brady moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18, the agent took him out and ordered him three glasses of wine. At one point in the evening, it's alleged that Tyler made a move on Brady as he kissed and grabbed the crotch of the aspiring star. Michael Podraza, a Lionsgate employee, claims the Hollywood heavyweight offered to get him acting roles if the business and legal affairs manager slept with him. On why he chose to stay quiet about the lewd suggestion, Michael shared: "He wasn't hiding. This guy was untouchable, and I was trying to not be blacklisted." Kellan Rhude, a now 28-year-old Boston University student, says he was assaulted by Grasham back when he was a 19-year-old aspiring actor. Reportedly, Rhude anonymously informed APA about Tyler's inappropriate behavior. Last week, Tyler Cornell filed a complaint against Tyler with the LAPD on sexual assault claims. Per the filing, Tyler allegedly assaulted the 20-year-old earlier this year. A spokeswoman for the police confirmed that there IS an ongoing investigation into a report of criminal sodomy against Grasham. Two former employees anonymously confirmed to The Times that Tyler's misconduct with underage male clients was widely known throughout the agency. The Times has reached out to Tyler for a comment on many platforms, but has yet to receive a response. As for APA, they are looking into the matter and have denied knowing about their employees alleged predatory ways. Be sure to check back for any updates on this scandal. Like so many others, Minka Kelly is now coming forward with her own disturbing story about a creepy encounter with serial sexual harasser Harvey Weinstein. Related: Quentin Tarantino Finally Breaks His Silence On Weinstein's Scandal! Alongside a photo of a stitching that said, "Boys will be boys held accountable for their fucking actions," the actress recounted: "I met Harvey at an industry party. The following day, my agent said he wanted to see me for a general meeting. The location was set for his hotel room. I wasn't comfortable with going to his room & said so. The following day, we sat down with an assistant in the hotel restaurant. He bullshit me for 5 minutes re: movies he could put me in, then asked the assistant to excuse us. As she walked away, he said, 'I know you were feeling what I was feeling when we met the other night' and then regaled me with offers of a lavish life filled with trips around the world on private planes etc. IF I would be his girlfriend. Or, 'We could just keep this professional.' All I knew was not to offend this very powerful man and to get out of the situation as quickly as possible. I told him while flattered, I'd like to keep things professional. He said 'Fine. I trust you won't tell anyone about this.' I said 'Of course not. Neither of us were that surprised as this wasn't far off from the day-to-day bullshit of being an actress." The Friday Night Lights star concluded by apologizing for letting the filmmaker get away with this "gross" behavior: "I'm sorry for obliging his orders to be complicit in protecting his behavior, which he obviously knew was wrong or he wouldn't have asked me not to tell anyone in the first place. For making him feel ok about the gross things he was saying and that I felt my only route was to say I was flattered. For not insisting that my reps never allow anyone to take a meeting in a hotel room (with him or anyone else), because I honestly don't know what might have happened if I'd just showed up as originally scheduled." Like Minka, we're happy to hear so many people speaking up now: "I am appalled for all the women being told these occurrences are in any way their fault. No more Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood does not solve the problem but maybe the more voices sharing their stories and adding support to the countless women and men who have suffered through abuse of power, the less it will be tolerated." I'm sorry for obliging his orders to be complicit in protecting his behavior, which he obviously knew was wrong or he wouldn’t have asked me not to tell anyone in the first place. For making him feel ok about the gross things he was saying and that I felt my only route was to say I was flattered. For not insisting that my reps never allow anyone to take a meeting in a hotel room (with him or anyone else), because I honestly don’t know what might have happened if I’d just showed up as originally scheduled. I am appalled for all the women being told these occurrences are in any way their fault. No more Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood does not solve the problem but maybe the more voices sharing their stories and adding support to the countless women and men who have suffered through abuse of power, the less it will be tolerated.A post shared by Minka Kelly (@minkakelly) on Oct 13, 2017 at 8:03am PDT Let's keep the conversation going! The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor is not in the best of spirits after falling victim to a multi-million dollar extortion attempt over a video that allegedly shows him in a "sexually provocative situation." Now under an FBI investigation, the publicized scandal is unsurprisingly taking a toll on the comedian. A source explained to People: "Kevin's not doing too well. He's really embarrassed that all of his personal business is out there for everyone to see." Over the weekend, the 36-year-old issued an emotional apology to his pregnant wife Eniko Parrish and children, claiming someone was trying to make a "financial gain" from his indiscretions. Related: New Footage Of Kevin Partying With Sex Tape Partner! Though everything appears to be united on Hart's home front -- on Tuesday, he was spotted out for lunch with Eniko, who reportedly forgave her husband for his infidelity. The source added: "It obviously hasn't been an easy week for him or Eniko and having it come out in public has affected their marriage, but she is determined to stand by him. He also has a lot of friends defending him, so he has a lot of support." While Eniko's atonement certainly helps, it isn't making the controversy go away. On Tuesday, high-powered lawyer Lisa Bloom revealed on Twitter that she is now representing "the woman at the center of the Kevin Hart scandal," identifying her as Montia Sabbag: I represent the woman at the center of the Kevin Hart scandal. Press conference tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/X9KV3zYwfY — Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) September 19, 2017 According to Bloom, the "actress and model" was "briefly involved with Kevin Hart a month ago. Since that time, she has been the subject of false, vicious attacks on her character." Bloom says she and Sabbag will "speak out" at a Wednesday press conference "about the true facts of this situation, and will announce their next legal move." Yikes. This scandal just went out of the frying pan and into the blooming fire. [Image via Instagram/Twitter.].....»»
