More Than A Dozen Women Come Forward With Sexual Assault Allegations Against Porn Veteran Ron Jeremy — "He Doesn"t Hear No"

Ron Jeremy is the latest celebrity to be called out for alleged sexual assault. In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once [...] Ron Jeremy is the latest celebrity to be called out for alleged sexual assault. In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once at a photo shoot and another time at his apartment, in December of 1997. She told the mag of him allegedly cornering her in a bathroom: "He was like, 'I need to look at your ass so I can get hard for the photo shoot.' Then it turned into him basically sticking it in without me knowing it was happening. I said flat-out no. It stopped, but it didn't stop soon enough after I said no ... During the whole photo shoot I was thinking, 'Was I just raped? What the fuck just happened?' [But] by the time the shoot was done, I had it in my head that I had somehow exaggerated it and it was an honest mistake ... He just kinda keeps going and pretends like you didn't say anything." When asked why she didn't report the crime, Steele replied: "I was pretty promiscuous. I was a stripper. I couldn't prove it." Adding: "He hides behind other women's scarlet letters, is what he does. [He] know[s] if someone's a porn star and they say they've been raped, people aren't gonna take it seriously." Another adult performer, Kendra Sunderland, said Jeremy sucked her breasts without permission at a Dallas expo in 2015: "People expect this from him. If I went and got mad on Twitter, people would say, 'That's Ron.' But if I said a fan did it, they'd say 'That's not OK, that's crossing a line.'" As you can probably imagine, it's very difficult for sex workers to come forward with their stories considering the stigma and gray areas that are involved when it comes to being in the adult entertainment industry. Not to mention, sex workers who come forward are "likely to be blamed or disbelieved by law enforcement." With that said, Rolling Stone spoke with several people in the industry who said Jeremy's behavior is not standard. Popular performer Julia Ann said: "I think Ron is an anomaly, and you'd be hard-pressed to say there's any other person who's been able to publicly sexually harass or assault people and get away with it. It's one thing for someone to do it in their hotel room or their condo or their office or their car, but he can do it in the middle of a convention ... When there are dollar signs involved, the lines [of consent] actually get drawn much more distinctly." In 2003, Jeremy was investigated for criminal sexual conduct after a fan alleged he held her down and raped her in his Michigan hotel room. Charges were not pressed. Also in 2003, performer Ginger Lynn said Jeremy raped her while they were on location shooting a film in 1983. In 2007, another fan told police the porn star reached inside her bra, pulled out her breast, and signed it without her permission at an expo in Miami. Jeremy told TMZ at the time: "I probably signed about 150 boobs that weekend, all of which I sign 'RJ' with a heart.'" There are just a handful of the many explosive accusations against Ron for years of abuse. Related: Sylvester Stallone Allegations Bring Half-Sister's Rape Claims Back Into The Spotlight In a statement to the magazine in response to the many allegations, Jeremy said in full: "Let me first say, that I'm fully in support of the women and men who have been coming forward about being sexually assaulted. These real predators need to be taken down. My reputation is currently being smeared by these old allegations that have already been investigated and dismissed. However, I understand how social change works, and if my reputation has to get a bit tarnished along the way for the better treatment of women, and men, so be it. I will be there to support all people, men and women, that have bravely come forward to attack this systemic problem. As for the allegations against me, these allegations have been online and in print for quite sometime. This is not new or breaking news. I'm shocked you guys are picking this up after it's been reported on over and over by other publications and has been proven over and over to be false. I have never and would never rape anyone. All serious allegations have been investigated by police and dismissed by judges, as have most of the accusations of "Groping". I have never been charged nor spent one day in court for any of this. And these are old allegations. Check, Anything about me appearing in court or in jail, is public record. I was only arrested 20 years ago when I was fighting for Freedom Of Speech with Hal Freeman. The police who looked into the groping charges have always said that they watch the video from the event or whatever and that I did nothing wrong or illegal. They then ask if I want to press charges against The people making false accusations. I never have. As for the charges of Groping, I say yes, I AM A GROPER. And by groper, I mean I get paid to show up to these shows, events, and photo shoots and touch the people and they touch me. I'm not the young stud I was, but I still draw a crowd. And we are talking about things that are within reason, in front of police officer's and security that are always there as well as the tons of cameras And the general public. But seriously, if you were going to be around Ron Jeremy, wouldn't you assume that I'd be a little bit touchy Feely? Yes. This is what I do for a living. I am not Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Weinstein, or Cosby. For over 40 years fans and fellow performers pay money and wait in long lines to meet me. They want autographs, pictures, to flirt with me, physically grab me in different areas (usually my clothed penis), they ask me to touch them and many ask to have me sign their boobs. When I take photos with fans and other performers at these conventions, signings or events, I do sometimes kiss people on the lips or the cheek, sign boobs or whatever they want. There is "put on" flirting and touching for the photos. This is exactly what people pay me for at conventions. The female performers flirt and touch too. It's what we do. If you watch these videos that Ginger Banks put out of me "groping," you see that everyone in the videos is laughing and "groping" too. That I'm not running up to them, they come to me. If anyone was ever made to feel uncomfortable by ANY of our interactions, I'm deeply sorry. That was never my intention and it breaks my heart in half. I hope that everyone reading this keeps in mind that I do tons of these conventions and adult signings. I take pictures with about 500,000 people each all over the world and have every year, for 40 years. These touching complaints are the exact same thing everyone else stood in line for. They couldn't be happier. I have never raped anyone. If anyone continues those claims, that is defamation. I will sue them in court. I'm not saying that I never met these people or interacted with them. I don't remember most of them, how could I? I may have seen hundreds people on those days. A girl said that I took her into a back room at a convention? Now this I remember. No one pushed anyone anywhere, she and a girl friend of hers asked if they could come in to the back tent with me. "Back room" was actually a small tent where the performers went to relax and eat crafty. There were seven other people in the small tent including security guard. And we took some sexy photos with each other as people looked on or looked at their phones. If I did anything wrong, that security guard who works for the convention, would have taken me down and called the police. And someone claimed that in hedonism in Jamaica, which is a nudist swingers resort, I tried to massage their leg years ago? Why is this even in an article? I am very happy that the scum bags of the earth are being taken down. They deserve it. But these allegations are pure lies or buyers remorse. In 40 years, I've never been punched by a boyfriend or anyone ever. I have been heartbroken over these allegations. Not because it affects me or my business, I can take that, but because they are lies and there are actual women and men out there Who have been victims of serious sexual assault, and so on, that are trying to get their voices heard. Again, It does bother me that there might be women out there that had some buyers remorse after our interactions. But I did nothing wrong or out of the ordinary for these conventions or events. These events are supposed to be a fun time. That video that Ginger Banks made looks like a pro Ron Jeremy video if you turn off the sound. Everyone in the videos is having fun with me. This really is a non-story. However I'm glad I had a chance to speak my side." Thoughts??? SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Eminem Talks Donald Trump, Taylor Swift, And… Finding Dates On GRINDR!!! Wait, What???

Even he admits, in a new interview with Vulture out on Tuesday, that he expresses very different versions of himself from song to song. But in giving some answers not beholden to rhyme schemes or trying to be funny, the Rap God actually says some damn surprising things... Video: Eminem Debuts Ferocious Single Untouchable From The Upcoming Album Revival First off? He has been on Grindr! See the whole exchange that led to the reveal (below): Do you date? It's tough. Since my divorce I've had a few dates and nothing's panned out in a way that I wanted to make it public. Dating's just not where I'm at lately. When you were dating, how'd you meet people? Tinder? I mean, yeah. Are you being serious? Yeah, Tinder. Really? [Laughs] And Grindr. I also used to go to strip clubs. I think a lot of long-term relationships start in strip clubs. What can I say? Going to strip clubs is how I was meeting some chicks. It was an interesting time for me. Wait, can we go back to the part where Eminem was on Grindr?? Is this Em saying he's bi? Or just talking about trying everything? (For the record some straight people do jump on Grindr from time to time. For some reason.) Then again, we are talking about the man who bought Sir Elton John a cock ring for a wedding present... In any case, Marshall seems to be getting honest on everything else. See what he has to say about more (below): On His Feud With Donald Trump "He makes my blood boil. I can't even watch the news anymore because it makes me too stressed out. All jokes aside, all punch lines aside, I'm trying to get a message out there about him. I want our country to be great too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it's not going to be that with him in charge. I remember when he was first sniffing around politics, I thought, We've tried everything else, why not him? Then — and I was watching it live — he had that speech where he said Mexico is sending us rapists and criminals. I got this feeling of what the fuck? From that point on, I knew it was going to be bad with him. What he's doing putting people against each other is scary fucking shit. His election was such a disappointment to me about the state of the country." Em says he can't wait for Trump to call him out on Twitter like he has with so many others: "I'm not going to give any away now, but I've got lines ready if he says something about me. I get almost flustered thinking about him — that's how angry he makes me. The people that support him are the people he cares about the least and they don't even realize it. At what point do you — a working-class citizen, someone who's trying to make shit better for you and your family — think this guy who's never known struggle his entire fucking life, who avoided the military because of bone spurs, who says he's a billionaire, is really looking out for you? He's got people brainwashed... He's very good at smoke screens. He's very good at flipping narratives. I just want people to think about things: What has he really done for you in the year since he's been in office? The tax cut is not going to help the middle class. It's going to help Donald Trump. That people don't see that is so discouraging... He's made the racists come out. He's made it acceptable for the white man to feel oppressed. I'm just calling bullshit bullshit: I actually don't know if I can see why people who relate to me feel like they can relate to him. This is a guy who was born rich, who says he got a small loan from his father of a million dollars. Where I come from, a small loan is five fucking bucks." On Taylor Swift Not Speaking Out About Trump "I don't know anything about Taylor Swift's situation. I can only speak for me, not her. I do feel like when you have a platform, it's important to use your voice. You can loudly call bullshit on things that not everyone can. I don't know if anyone has a responsibility to do that. That's something they'd have to look inside themselves and figure out. That's what I did, and I decided I needed to speak out." On Whether Collaborator Ed Sheeran Is The Type Of Pop Music He Used To Mock "I don't think so. He's not a boy band, he's an artist whose craft I respect. The reason that I went at pop stars back then is because people were calling me a pop rapper. What's bugged out to me is that — I don't know if everybody understands this — if everybody could do what I did, they'd just do it wouldn't they? I'm not this manufactured pop thing and I never was. A way people used to dismiss me was to call me pop. I got mad about that, and I lashed out." See more of the wide-ranging interview HERE! [Image via BET.].....»»

While passionately declaring he is not a pedophile, he does apologize for ever joking about the subject and making insensitive comments that, "comedy" or not, made a lot of people highly uncomfortable. Watch and learn more HERE. YouTube is officially getting out of hand... On Wednesday, an edited video went viral featuring Shane Dawson's comments about pedophilia from a 2013 Shane and Friends podcast. In the shocking clip (which has since been deleted), the social media personality discusses meeting a six-year-old girl with 125,000 Instagram followers, and then calls her "sexy" and "little big dick." While the fan-made video shows Alabama Luella Barker's face, it is unclear if Travis Barker's daughter is the girl in question. The 29-year-old then explains his "justification for pedophilia" where he compares the psychiatric disorder to a sexual fetish. He then admits to googling "naked babies" to "pretend like [he is] a pedophile," and remarks "they were sexy." Related: Shane Dawson Comes Out As Bisexual In Emotional Video! That same day, Dawson responded to the controversy saying the video was edited in a way where his "jokes" were "taken out of context," as his "punchlines" were removed. He wrote: no. that video is all jokes taken out of context and has all the punchlines removed. it also is illegal to claim someone is a pedofile and use 6 year old jokes as "proof". — Shane Dawson (@shanedawson) January 10, 2018 In the podcast (which can be heard in its entirety HERE), Shane does say "having sex with children or touching children or anything of that nature is terrible and you should not do it." Additionally, the video leaves out the part where Shane says he "didn't want to see child porn" during his Google search, and that he is "kidding" when he calls the babies "sexy." Either way, the audio is absolutely disturbing, disgusting, and uncomfortable to sit through. When word spread, some fans blasted Dawson for his sick comments, while others defended him for his "dark humor" and slammed the video's misleading editing. See all the reactions (below): shane dawson has the darkest sense of human dont come for him jesus christ literally everything that comes out of his mouth is a joke and he would never mean to offend any one he’s literally an angel — ell🌌 (@clxudhxrry) January 10, 2018 "I'm kidding" "having sex with or touching kids is disgusting" - Shane Dawson in the same podcast that is being targeted — hey mom say who want lasagna (@ifeelsoattacked) January 10, 2018 yes, what shane dawson joked about is wrong but in the EXACT SAME PODCAST he says it's wrong to touch kids and he talks about how gross hollywood molestation is. do your research :) — halia ♡ (@aloha_moonlight) January 10, 2018 Just saw everyone is trying to make out that Shane Dawson is a pedophile, honestly people on social media are SO desperate to ruin people's careers. 10 Miserable Facts About Being Happy

Many of us are involved in a daily quest for happiness and why not? Life is best when we’re happy. Chilling with loved ones, doing our favorite hobby, dancing the night away, etc. they’re the things that memories are made of. Yet, there’s a dark side to happiness and here we have 10 miserable facts about being happy: Some People Cannot Ever Be Happy Happiness is a product of our environment, right? Well, to some extent it is true that what we’re doing or surrounded by can have a huge impact on our happiness. But the bad news for some people is that our ability to be happy is a genetic thing and some people just don’t have the happiness gene. In fact people who are really happy have two copies of that gene. People without it are generally unhappy. Holidays Don’t Make Us Happy You’d think that taking a vacation pretty much anywhere would boost your happiness levels but this, according to the latest research at least, isn’t the case. In a study of more than 1,500 vacations they discovered that in the vast majority of cases holidays don’t make us happy. In fact, they have very little impact on our overall happiness. The only exception to this depressing rule is that people who take “very relaxing” breaks do report a boost in their happiness. Other People Make Us Sad Actually this isn’t 100% true but research from “The Great Brain Experiment” showed that what makes us unhappy or happy isn’t interacting with other people. It’s having more in our lives than the people around us – if all the people you know appear to be doing better than you; you’ll be miserable. Conversely, if they’re all having a lousy time – you’ll be flying high. Our happiness is often relative to the background of happiness we’re exposed to. We’re Less Happy Than Ever Before We live in a world of endless opportunity, technological marvels and ever improving health and that’s making us miserable. Back in the 1970s when they first started to measure the background level of happiness in America people were much happier than when they measured that level in 2010. In fact, happiness has been on a constant decline since they first measured it. Maybe it’s the measuring that affects happiness? Or maybe life really is less enjoyable when you have much more choice in front of you? Some People Are Scared of Happiness While most people say they’d embrace happiness; there are many cultures in which there’s a distinct (and measurable) fear of happiness. If you were to visit India or Hong Kong, for example, you’d find that that happiness holds cultural stigma and people aren’t very keen on the idea – they’re happy-phobic if you like. Research also finds that people who are in an Islamic culture are likely to perceive sadness and hardship as necessary to commune properly with God and thus they too become happiness averse. So while people want to be happy – many will avoid the opportunity to actually be [...].....»»

Alec Baldwin Doesn"t Want "Innocent People" Hurt By Hollywood"s Sexual Misconduct Problem

Not everyone in Hollywood is a predator, says Alec Baldwin. On Thursday, the Donald Trump impersonator stopped by Megyn Kelly Today where he opened up about the sexual misconduct scandals plaguing Hollywood. Related: Alec & Hilaria Baldwin Are Pregnant With Their FOURTH Child While the former 30 Rock star wants guilty parties to "get convicted," he worries "innocent people" will also be wrongfully accused. The actor confessed: "I want to see the people who really did something get convicted, I mean I want the people who are the wrong, I want them to be punished... But I don't want innocent people get hurt either." The 59-year-old also addresses his Wednesday tweet accusing late night shows of resembling "grand juries" who are out to accuse people -- guilty or not -- of wrongdoing. "I do find that, that whole issue, which is a big can of worms to open up really, it is really, really tough, because you certainly want to see everyone who is guilty of something, who have done bad things, wrong things that hurt people, you want to see those people get punished... But I don't want to see other people get pulled into that who – there's a lot of accusations and no proof yet, I don't want to see people to get hurt." Baldwin specifically mentions an incident that happened Monday when John Oliver got into a heated exchange with Dustin Hoffman over the actor's sexual harassment claims. "A lot of people by the way, they endorse that. They think that those hosts of those shows are perfectly, not only within their rights, but it's very attractive or very necessary for them to be pressing this cause... I just don't want to see people who are innocent get into trouble." Ultimately, Alec believes we all need to "treat people" better, and to be conscious of our actions. "We need to have more understanding of where, how we treat people... Like someone said to me, if we are in a conversation and I talk over you, that is a mild form of bullying, if I don't let you finish your sentence. And men do that to women all of the time." Too busy watching Game of Thrones instead? Here's what you missed. The Kylie Cosmetics owner hates when people say her life is "perfect": "[I] laugh. In their face. Nobody has a perfect life. The only different thing about me, or out of the ordinary, really, is probably just that I have nice things. But what you realize when you get there -- when I know I could buy any car, any house -- is that that happiness lasts two seconds ... That's not my real happiness, that's not where I find happiness. I'm so blessed that I got to experience this at such a young age and learn that, so now I can find what really is going to make me happy." Related: Kylie's Butt -- An Evolution In Photos! The person you see pouting her lips for Instagram and Snapchat is NOT the real Kylie, apparently: "There's an image that I feel constantly pressured to keep up with. In order to stay relevant for the public, I have to be on Instagram and I have to be on Snapchat just keeping people entertained. And then there's who I really am around my friends. That's who I want you guys to get to know ... It's way easier for me to post on Snapchat or Instagram than it is to be out in public. I just feel like for so long I've been putting on this different persona to the world — I felt like I started to depend on social media, feeling the need to post all the time. I feel like I have to keep up this idea of who I am." Miz Jenner admits she became a more diluted version of herself after receiving a ton of negative feedback online: "I think I lost a lot of parts of myself. My funny side — when I was 14 I used to post all these funny videos all the time, just me being like, super weird and funny and myself. I feel like once I started getting a little bit bigger, then people really started to … everyone says mean things sometimes, it's just how social media is — it's a really mean, negative space ... Every single day I see something negative about me. When that started happening, that really affected me. So I was like: ‘I'm not going to show people that side of me anymore.' I'm kind of putting up a version of myself to the world that isn't fully me." From being home-schooled to only being able to take private jets, Kris Jenner's youngest daughter says growing up on TV has cost her a "normal" life: "I had to get home-schooled, not really because I wanted to but because I missed so much school because I was working. It's hard to feel normal. Because I always want to feel normal, that's the goal in my life ... I started filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians when I was 9 years old. I really don't know what it's like to not have everyone know who I am. I don't know what it's like to live a normal life, where people just don't know who you are, to get out of the car and not have everyone stare at you. I feel like when you grow up on camera, people think that they know you because you're on social media so much and you're on reality TV." She added: "I for sure didn't choose this life, but I'm not going to say that I'm totally innocent, because I am keeping up this lifestyle. I know I'm making myself more famous by having an Instagram and posting photos, but I'm not that type of person where I want all the attention. I don't like that. It actually freaks me out, because it reminds me that I'm ‘Kylie f—ing Jenner' ... A lot of people have it worse than me. It's just it is a lot to handle. Sometimes, I'm like: ‘This is it. I'm going insane.' I feel like this fame thing is going to come to an end sooner than we think. I'm getting the bug again, where I just want to run away. I just don't know who I'm doing it for." Do we feel bad for her? Are we watching this show?? Let us know in the comments (below)! In the meantime, ch-ch-check out some of Twitter's best reactions (below)! Sadly, now we're hearing one from Lupita Nyong'o. Related: All 45+ Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far The Black Panther actress opened up in a lengthy New York Times op-ed on Thursday, in which she says she felt "a flare of rage" in learning how many women had been through what she had: "I had shelved my experience with Harvey far in the recesses of my mind, joining in the conspiracy of silence that has allowed this predator to prowl for so many years. I had felt very much alone when these things happened, and I had blamed myself for a lot of it, quite like many of the other women who have shared their stories. But now that this is being discussed openly, I have not been able to avoid the memories resurfacing. I have felt sick in the pit of my stomach." Here is her story: "I met Harvey Weinstein in 2011 at an awards ceremony in Berlin, while I was still a student at the Yale School of Drama. An intermediary introduced him to me as "the most powerful producer in Hollywood." As an aspiring actress, I was of course eager to meet people in the industry but cautious about strangers, and the intentions of men in general." She asked her dinner companions about Harvey and was given the typical response that he could be "a bully" -- which meant it was better to have him in her corner than against her. Ultimately she says he was somewhat "charming" despite his directness, and that "he didn't alarm" her at first. So when he invited her to watch a screening of a film with his family at his home in Connecticut -- near where she was living in New Haven -- she accepted. Related: Channing Tatum Cuts All Ties With The Weinstein Company His family was actually there, at least. But when they all gathered to watch the film, that's when Harvey pounced: "I settled in for the film, but about 15 minutes in, Harvey came for me, saying he wanted to show me something. I protested that I wanted to finish the film first, but he insisted I go with him, laying down the law as though I too was one of his children." In his home with his children there. Ick. "Harvey led me into a bedroom — his bedroom — and announced that he wanted to give me a massage. I thought he was joking at first. He was not. For the first time since I met him, I felt unsafe. I panicked a little and thought quickly to offer to give him one instead: It would allow me to be in control physically, to know exactly where his hands were at all times... He agreed to this and lay on the bed. I began to massage his back to buy myself time to figure out how to extricate myself from this undesirable situation. Before long he said he wanted to take off his pants. I told him not to do that and informed him that it would make me extremely uncomfortable. He got up anyway to do so and I headed for the door, saying that I was not at all comfortable with that. 'If we're not going to watch the film, I really should head back to school,' I said. I opened the door and stood by the frame. He put his shirt on and again mentioned how stubborn I was. I agreed with an easy laugh, trying to get myself out of the situation safely. I was after all on his premises, and the members of his household, the potential witnesses, were all (strategically, it seems to me now) in a soundproof room." That time, Lupita was able to leave somewhat easily enough. She says she even justified the massage request to herself, though it helped that Harvey had enticed her with the possibility of a job (on an HBO show she later found out was already off the air). But she was still uneasy with Harvey, so when he invited her to a reading of the play version of Finding Neverland, she politely refused -- until he told her she could bring anyone she wanted. She attended with two male friends. Related: Quentin Tarantino Knew Harvey 'Did A Couple Of These Things'! Nothing untoward happened the entire evening, including when a large group went out for dinner and drinks. So the next time he invited her to a screening -- this time of Madonna's film W.E. -- she accepted. "Feeling more confident about the new sense of boundaries that we had established in our last meeting, I attended the screening on my own this time. Afterward, as planned, his male assistant arranged for me to get to the Tribeca Grill, where Harvey would be joining us. I met a female assistant when I arrived there. I was expecting that it would be a group of us, as it had been for the reading, but she informed me it would just be Mr. Weinstein. She would sit with me until he arrived. She seemed on edge, but I could only imagine how stressful it was to work for a man who had so much going on." As with other stories we've heard, the assistant "immediately disappeared" after Harvey arrived. And this time he was direct: "Before the starters arrived, he announced: 'Let's cut to the chase. I have a private room upstairs where we can have the rest of our meal.' I was stunned. I told him I preferred to eat in the restaurant. He told me not to be so naïve. If I wanted to be an actress, then I had to be willing to do this sort of thing. He said he had dated Famous Actress X and Y and look where that had gotten them. I was silent for a while before I mustered up the courage to politely decline his offer. 'You have no idea what you are passing up,' he said. 'With all due respect, I would not be able to sleep at night if I did what you are asking, so I must pass,' I replied." That's when Lupita knew Harvey was through with her; she asked him if they were good and recalls his chilling response: "'I don't know about your career, but you'll be fine,' he said. It felt like both a threat and a reassurance at the same time; of what, I couldn't be sure." Lupita made a vow to herself never to work with Weinstein, a vow she kept when he tried to entice her following her Oscar win for 12 Years A Slave. Related: LAPD Opens Harvey Weinstein Rape Investigation She explains why she's telling her story now -- for all the women who are like she was: "I share all of this now because I know now what I did not know then. I was part of a growing community of women who were secretly dealing with harassment by Harvey Weinstein. But I also did not know that there was a world in which anybody would care about my experience with him. You see, I was entering into a community that Harvey Weinstein had been in, and even shaped, long before I got there. He was one of the first people I met in the industry, and he told me, "This is the way it is." And wherever I looked, everyone seemed to be bracing themselves and dealing with him, unchallenged. I did not know that things could change. I did not know that anybody wanted things to change. So my survival plan was to avoid Harvey and men like him at all costs, and I did not know that I had allies in this." She concludes: "Now that we are speaking, let us never shut up about this kind of thing. I speak up to make certain that this is not the kind of misconduct that deserves a second chance. I speak up to contribute to the end of the conspiracy of silence. Amen, sister. You can read her full op-ed HERE. [Image via Apega/Michael Wright/WENN.].....»»
