Brice’s collaboration with Mark Duplass continues with Creep 2 which The Orchard is releasing on all digital platforms on October 24. Creep 2 centers on Sara (Girls’ Desiree Akhavan), a video artist who attempts to form a bond with lonely men. After discovering an ad looking for “video work,” she heads to remote forest where she meets a man claiming to be a serial killer (Duplass, reprising his role in the original). Agreeing to spend a day with him, Sara’s pursuit for an interesting story may lead to a tragic end. Duplass and Brice (who also was the lead in Creep), penned the script. “We are overjoyed to bring the next chapter of Creep into the world,” said Brice. “The fact that audiences have embraced the first film in such an unexpected way has been so heartening. We hope Creep 2 will bring a new level of fear, discomfort and joy to loyal fans and newcomers alike.” If you haven’t seen the original or are in need of a refresher course, here’s the trailer to Creep (the sequel’s trailer wasn’t available as of press time): Find Us On Facebook: Hollywood Outbreak Follow Us On Twitter: @Hollyoutbreak Posted by: Greg Srisavasdi.....»»

Whitney Houston"s Mom Cissy Breaks Her Silence Over Sexual Abuse Allegation

Whitney Houston‘s mother, Cissy Houston, and Cissy‘s niece Dionne Warwick are breaking their silence on the allegation of sexual abuse made in the new documentary Whitney. The documentary debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, and made the allegation that Whitney was molested by her cousin, Dee Dee Warwick, when she was a child. Whitney‘s brother Gary also made an allegation in the documentary that he was molested by Dee Dee, who died in 2008. The Whitney documentary is now available to see in theaters now. Click inside to read the joint statement made by Cissy Houston and Dionne Warwick… “In the documentary, which premiered almost two months ago at the Cannes Film Festival, a claim is made that Whitney was molested by Dee Dee Warwick, her cousin and Dionne‘s sister. My niece Dionne Warwick and I make this statement to raise our voices above the din surrounding the release of the film, Whitney. Although the film is marketed as a Houston Family approved/endorsed project, neither my son, Michael, Dionne nor I knew of the allegations of abuse, the direction the film would take, until two days before the screening at Cannes. We cannot, however, overstate the shock and horror we feel and the difficulty we have believing that my niece Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne’s sister) molested two of my three children. I’ve been told—as justification for the invasive theme of this film—that Whitney was a public person and therefore the public has a right to know any and everything about her. I say, NO, she was a famous person … a singer, an actress, a quiet but generous philanthropist. She wasn’t running for office, asking for money or trying to win the right to run anyone’s life. Her job does not entitle the “public” to know every intimate detail of her life beyond what she herself revealed during her lifetime. Although she spoke about her struggle with drugs, the interventions, her daughter Krissi and issues in her marriage, she never PUBLICLY spoke about her father’s stealing from her or revealed any claim that she had been molested. IF she was molested I do not believe she would have wanted it to be revealed for the first time to thousands, maybe millions of people in a film. How I wish I could ask Dee Dee and Nippy what happened, but this film distinguishes itself from the other films about her by spreading rumor, innuendo and hearsay; leaving questions to which I’ll never have the answers.” For the full statement, head over to People......»»

The rising singer-songwriter and producer’s latest single has already racked up over 6 million streams across all digital platforms. “‘Love Alone’ honestly just came out of nowhere one night. I was just playing piano in my studio and the chorus melody just got in my head and then about 45 minutes later, I had written the whole song,” Mokita explains of the song. “I had never written a song that fast before so it was hard to tell in that moment if I really liked it. I revisited it the next day and produced the whole thing out in a few hours. I think the reason it moved so quickly is because I wrote it out of an honest place. I think everyone that has ever been in a relationship can relate to the fear of being vulnerable, especially because there is always a chance that those feelings won’t be reciprocated. Being transparent and honest is always worth it, buts a scary thing, and that’s really what the song is about.” “I didn’t want anything complicated with the video,” he explains. “I really just wanted something visually appealing that really complimented the song. I didn’t want a super complex storyline or crazy shots, I just wanted to set a mood that helped you listen to the music. David really nailed it and totally got my vision for it. The shots are beautiful and brooding and I think it even adds more emotion to the original song.” In addition to his own music, Mokita recently produced the stripped down version of Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato’s “No Promises” and crafted official remixes for the likes of Maggie Rogers, Daya, Betty Who and more. Cecil B. DeMille And His “Lost City” Honored With New Documentary

[...] The documentary The Lost City of Cecil B. DeMille is an intriguing watch for a myriad of reasons. On one level, the feature is a must see for movie buffs, as it chronicles director Peter Brosnan’s 30 plus year quest to unearth pieces of Cecil B. DeMille’s set from 1923’s The Ten  Commandments. The set, which like most of DeMille’s production pieces were monumental in scope and size, were buried in the sand after production completed. After hearing the story during a random conversation in 1982, he was immediately obsessed with finding this “lost city.” The film documents the red tape Brosnan and his crew encountered over the years, and for a spell the filmmaker even gave up on the project altogether. The project also delves into DeMille’s career and concentrates on his two versions of The Ten Commandments, and features interviews with actors and family members (granddaughter Cecilia DeMille Presley is featured in the documentary). Several of the subjects interviewed in the documentary died during the 30 years, and the film also succeeds as a valuable resource for cinephiles who want to dig deeper into DeMille’s universe. The Lost City of Cecil B. DeMille is now out on Digital and Video on Demand, and for more info, check out the film’s official site.
