Cate Blanchett Asked About #MeToo & Woody Allen — Says Social Media Is "Not The Judge And Jury"!

Cate Blanchett has been a big supporter of #MeToo and #TimesUp. But some have a hard time reconciling that with the fact she worked with Woody Allen, who was accused of molesting his daughter, Dylan Farrow. Video: Cate Did Throw Blatant Shade In A VERY Public Forum During a new CNN interview, Christiane Amanpour asked the actress, who won the Best Actress Oscar for her work on Allen's 2013 film Blue Jasmine, how she reconciles "staying silent" about Woody. Blanchett first denied that characterization, saying: "I don't think I've stayed silent at all. At the time that I worked with Woody Allen, I knew nothing of the allegations. At the time, I said it's a very painful and complicated situation for the family, which I hope they have the ability to resolve." It's true. She said almost exactly that. But this time she added: "If these allegations need to be reexamined which, in my understanding, they've been through court, then I'm a big believer in the justice system and setting legal precedents. If the case needs to be reopened, I am absolutely, wholeheartedly in support of that." Cate said #MeToo and #TimesUp were important, but ultimately she is a believer in due process: "Social media is fantastic about raising awareness about issues, but it's not the judge and jury. I feel that these things need to go into court, so if these abuses have happened, the person is prosecuted and so someone who is not in the shiny industry that I am can use that legal precedent to protect themselves. Always, in my industry or any other industry, they're preyed upon because they're vulnerable." It's about damn time legal precedent got set in some of these cases. *cough*Weinstein*cough* *cough*ManhattanDistrictAttorneyCyVance*cough* Man, we need to get that cough looked at... Jane Fonda Relates Harvey Weinstein Scandal to Donald Trump: "We Have a Man Who Is President Who Does These Things"

During an interview with CNN’s Christianne Amanpour, Jane spoke out about the allegations. “I’m glad it’s coming out. I’m so proud of those fellow actors that are speaking up and I know that it’s taken a long time,” she said. “You don’t get anything out of it, as the person who has been victimized. But it’s important that it come out…this goes on all the time.” Jane revealed that she knew about Harvey from her friend Rosanna Arquette (who recently came out with her story), but didn’t say anything: “I found out about Harvey about a year ago and I’m ashamed that I didn’t say anything right then…I only met Harvey when I was old and Harvey goes for young because that’s more vulnerable.” She went on to describe the culture of sexual harassment on a broader scale in society – and even brought up the President of the United States while making her point. “I mean Donald Trump is — we have a man who is president who does these things. And what kind of a message does that say? Unfortunately, that counteracts a lot of the good that we’re doing. Because a lot of men see, well, our president does it and he got elected, even after people discovered that he was an abuser so I’m just going to go ahead and do what I want to do.” Watch part of Jane‘s interview below......»»

10 Movies Where the Sex Scenes Include REAL Sex

It’s become a common thing in Hollywood to have a body double whose job it is to make the actor or actress look fantastic as they engage in fake sexual contact. What’s not so common are the films in which the actors and actresses are actually having sex rather than other people faking it on their behalf. It’s not very common at all, in fact, but here are XX movies where the sex scenes include real sex. 9 Songs The title of the film refers to the nine songs that are played by a series of eight different rock bands throughout the movie. Its director Michael Winterbottom decided on a romantic drama with a difference – it would include unsimulated footage of people doing the horizontal bop. There’s oral, masturbation, there’s actual sex and even a scene in which a genuine ejaculation is shown. Derek Malcolm of The Guardian said of the film: “Nine Songs looks like a porn movie, but it feels like a love story. The sex is used as a metaphor for the rest of the couple’s relationship. And it is shot with Winterbottom’s customary sensitivity.” Gandu India is famed for its strong sexual mores and its reluctance to involve anything risqué in its film industry which is why Gandu is a surprise entrant on our list. There’s an ongoing debate as to whether the 2010 movie is in fact straight up porn or something more nuanced. Many Indian audience members walked out during the screening of the movie in protest. The film is shot in black and white apart from the sex scene which merited a Technicolor presentation. Sweet Movie When a movie is short for the art-house crowd; there’s a much higher chance of it being sexually explicit. 1974’s Sweet House is directed by Dusan Makavejev the Yugoslav director and was in essence a comedy. The sex scenes are stomach churning and include both coprophilia and emetophilia. Not all the sex scenes are real, some are staged but they are all very explicit and the film was banned in a ton of countries upon release. Love A rather more recent entrant to the list; 2015’s Love was a French drama produced in 3D. In general the film was critically panned and its only real appeal was the fact that its sex scenes included real sex. From its 42% score on Rotten Tomatoes – it’s probably fair to say that they didn’t get the audiences as hot under the collar as the director had anticipated. Anatomy of Hell Another French movie and another fairly pitiful film. The premise of 2004’s Anatomy of Hell is that a gay woman tries to kill herself and then hires a straight guy to lock her up and do what he wants with her for four days. Unsurprisingly it’s panned for its homophobia but even the critics who hated the movie were quick to point out that the sex scenes were in fact ground breaking. In the Realm of the Senses In the Realm of the Senses was a Japanese movie made by a French-Japanese director in 1976. It [...].....»»
