With high fanfare and expectations heading into the the weekend box office, one might have expected the DC Extended Universe's mashup to pull in a REALLY big opener, but it just wasn't in the cards for Justice League, which did just $96 million in the United States. Related: Get More Box Office News HERE! The global box office totals cushioned the hard landing a little bit for the superhero flick, as it did $185.5 million overseas -- giving it a cumulative $281.5 million global launch across all markets. But domestically, this marked the lowest opening of ANY title in the DC Extended Universe -- and that's a big problem for the superhero contingent as they try to compete with rival Marvel Studios. For Justice League specifically, it appears poor reviews and a mediocre B+ CinemaScore may have helped do it in... and yet it still finished first overall at the box office this weekend, so it wasn't all bad! Coming in second was a bit of a surprise hit: the Stephen Chbosky-directed Wonder, which brought in $27.1 million from just over 3,000 theaters across North America. Thor: Ragnarok came in at a close third place, taking in $21.8 million over the weekend in its now third week in theaters. Related: The Kids React To The Incredibles 2 Trailer! The movie star just suffered through the worst wide opening weekend of her entire career with new film mother!, a complete bust at the box office that took in just $7.5 million from nearly 2,500 theaters all across North America. WTF?! What a bomb!!! Related: J.Law's Complete Style Revolution! It didn't help that the film, directed by Darren Aronofsky, stalled hard because it earned a solid 'F' grade from CinemaScore, but even with it, those box office totals are brutal -- it couldn't even clear eight figures!! Last we'd heard, Kevin Hart's sex tape was being offered up for considerably more in extortion money than the cumulative box office total mother! took in over the weekend... yikes... The film cost only $30 million to produce, and it'll obviously be in theaters for at least few more weeks, so it's not like the flick has completely bombed financially... but let's not kid ourselves. This is bad. And yeah, it officially supplants The House At The End Of The Street as the worst opening on Lawrence's career. (The House had brought in $12.3 million in its opening weekend back when it bombed.) As for big winners, It continues to cruise into the history books in its second weekend: the Stephen King adaptation netted $60 million from 4,103 theaters, making it the biggest second-weekend gross of a horror film EVER! It Proves To Be A MASSIVE Hit At The Box Office!

There's absolutely no question which flick ruled the box office this weekend: It is the most popular movie in America, with a HUGE opening weekend in theaters over the last few days! [...] There's absolutely no question which flick ruled the box office this weekend: It is the most popular movie in America, with a HUGE opening weekend in theaters over the last few days! In fact, the Stephen King adaptation took in so much money, it became the biggest opener EVER for a movie in the horror genre! Incredible!! Related: Watch The Brand New Fifty Shades Freed Trailer HERE! Over 4,103 theaters across all of North America this weekend, It has taken in a grand total of $117.2 million, setting the horror genre opening weekend record and BLOWING AWAY all of its first-week opener competition!!! This is particularly important for the North American box office considering it's been a few months since a major hit in theaters, and the summer was one of the worst in recent memory for production companies and movie houses. But now, It has redeemed all that -- at least for the time being -- by shattering a ton of records and bringing in a legit nine figure payday along the way! comScore movie analyst Paul Dergarabedian spoke about the clown Pennywise and the It film doing so well at the box office this weekend, per THR (below): "Pennywise has certainly brought big dollars back to the movie theater, and not a moment too soon. Let's face it, people love horror movies, and within the darkened walls of a movie theater, the communal electricity that is created by a bunch of people being scared out of their wits is almost as fun as the movie itself; this is why the film has obliterated expectations and is setting records." That's a hell of a lot better than some of the other new releases that came through this weekend, though. For one, Home Again -- starring Reese Witherspoon -- underwhelmed by drawing just $9 million over 2,940 theaters in a very disappointing second place showing in theaters. Related: Get More Movie Industry News HERE! And at the specialty box office, Charlie Sheen's new drama 9/11 fell REALLY flat, drawing just $162,450 from 400 theaters -- which equates out to a brutal average of $406 per location. Yikes. But at least It saved the day this weekend!! What about you, Perezcious readers?! Did you go see anything in theaters the last few days?? Let us know what you saw in the comments (below)!!! Kevin Spacey Was "A Bit Of A Bully" On Set Of Baby Driver, According To Costar Jon Bernthal

We recently heard his behavior has even been inappropriate up to the filming of his (now former) hit show House Of Cards. Photos: 14 Hollywood Bigwigs Accused Of Sexual Misconduct Over The Past Month! Now, according to Baby Driver costar Jon Bernthal, his attitude on the set of the 2017 film was upsetting too -- enough that the Punisher star lost "a ton of respect for him." He told Jim Norton and Sam Roberts on their Sirius XM show on Tuesday: "I remember being on that set, and I remember him rubbing me the wrong way. It's funny, anybody who I was working with at the time, people in my life, remember me saying it. A lot of people reached out to me, you know, when that happened." What specifically did he do that rubbed Jon the wrong way? He elaborated: "Going on to that set and working with him, I wasn't there much, and I wasn't really in a situation to judge, but when I was there, he really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought he was a bit of a bully. I didn't really care for the way he was behaving toward some of the other people on set." When asked if he was behaving "aggressively or sexually" the actor said it was "a combination." He explained: "I think he was acting toward people in a way that I remember at the time thinking, 'Man, if that was a woman that he was talking to, I would've done something, I would've said something.' I was really happy to sort of get out of there for that reason, and I just remember losing a ton of respect for him. And nowhere did I see anything like the kind of allegations that have come up against him, and I think it would be weak of me to sort of pile on about some shit that I don't know about, but the kind of man he was when I saw him, working with him made me lose all respect for him, and I was enormously disappointed."
