The Oscar-winning star recently gave an interview in which he said that he believes “there’s a spectrum of behavior… There’s a difference between patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right? Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn’t be conflated.” Matt‘s ex-girlfriend Minnie Driver is one of the many people who have slammed his comments and now Alyssa is adding her thoughts. “Dear Matt Damon, It’s the micro that makes the macro. We are in a ‘culture of outrage’ because the magnitude of rage is, in fact, overtly outrageous. And it is righteous,” Alyssa began her open letter on Twitter. Click inside to read all of the tweets… Read all of the tweets below! Dear Matt Damon, It’s the micro that makes the macro. (Thread) — Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) December 16, 2017 We are in a “culture of outrage” because the magnitude of rage is, in fact, overtly outrageous. And it is righteous. — Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) December 16, 2017 I have been a victim of each component of the sexual assault spectrum of which you speak. They all hurt. And they are all connected to a patriarchy intertwined with normalized, accepted–even welcomed– misogyny. — Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) December 16, 2017 We are not outraged because someone grabbed our asses in a picture. We are outraged because we were made to feel this was normal. We are outraged because we have been gaslighted. We are outraged because we were silenced for so long. — Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) December 16, 2017 There are different stages of cancer. Some more treatable than others. But it’s still cancer. — Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) December 16, 2017 Sexual harassment, misconduct, assault and violence is a systemic disease. Alyssa Milano Wants You To Send Her Your Migrant Children

Alyssa Milano is a celebrity. And a favorite pastime of celebrities is to randomly adopt something less fortunate than yourself. Typically they’ll consult with an agent about what’s hot to adopt at the moment and proceed with providing a place to stay for their new responsibility. A trend that started with recusing small dogs eventually evolved into saving African and Asian children. But in 2018 no celebrity is complete without having their own Mexican child migrant from the kid kennels out west. To Alyssa, deciding to take in the children is her good deed for a few days to come. To the children, it’s like getting a deep inhale of the modern American dream, living with a white woman in NYC rent and care-free. Actress Alyssa Milano wants to take in one of the hundreds of immigrant children housed in foster care facilities in Harlem, who were torn from their parents under President Trump’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy. The native of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, wrote to the CEO of Cayuga Centers, Edward Myers Hayes, on Thursday, offering to help, according to a letter obtained by The Post. “Based on New York City news reports detailing a covert, dark-of-night transport of children it appears your organization has stepped up to temporarily care for these poor souls. I, along with others — while fervently against the White House policy that put these children in your care — acknowledge your efforts,” wrote Milano, 45. “With this, I write to offer my assistance. Like many people touched by this tragedy, I have thought about ways I can help,” she added. “As a mother, I know that children need to be reunited with their parents in the United States more than anything.” I believe that Alyssa is harming more than she is helping. Imagine foster mother Milano being able to better provide for a kid than both of their parents combined. You can’t go back to enchiladas every night after you become aware that your new mom makes a mean risotto. It’s like experiencing the endgame only to start back at the beginning. Maybe Milano genuinely cares. Or maybe she’s using this new child as an emotional support immigrant. Either way I doubt the relationship will end well for anyone involved. Shannen Doherty tweeted out a spell of thoughts on the topic while chatting with fans over the weekend. She isn't specifically for or against the project, but she made one thing clear: calling it a "feminist reboot" is a huge slap in the face to the original series! Related: Rose McGowan SLAMS Alyssa Milano For Supporting Weinstein's Wife! The actress started the conversation on a positive note, admitting she's "intrigued" by the idea of a reboot resonating with a new generation of fans and delivering more "great roles" for women. Responding to fans, she shared: Im intrigued by the idea that a new generation might be comforted, inspired like all you were. Charmed helped us all in some way — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) January 27, 2018 Thank you. I love charmed. I also want it to be respected. I’m simply choosing to be constructive about it because negativity has no place in my life. — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) January 27, 2018 While she tried to keep away from the negativity, the cancer survivor couldn't help but cringe at the network describing the project as a "feminist reboot" when the original run was, by definition, a feminist series. Here's The CW's full description: "This fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch's work is never done." Ick. Sure, feminism is sellable these days -- but they shouldn't be so blatantly obvious about try to cash in on it. Video: Shannen Is Back In Heathers! Like her former costar Holly Marie Combs, Doherty found the description to be "ignorant," "a bit offensive," and probably written by someone who has never seen Charmed: Yep. You nailed it. Their wording is terrible and a bit offensive. But, everyone makes mistakes. Perhaps with the backlash they will be more thoughtful in future. — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) January 27, 2018 Yes I addressed this.... very ignorant stupid comment. Perhaps made by a millennial that never watched the show and just read a synopsis on it. — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) January 27, 2018 It will rub me the wrong way too — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) January 27, 2018 True, Prue! Awful description aside, we're still excited to see what comes of this project. As long as it's about three witch sisters kicking ass, count us in! [Image via Warner Bros..].....»»
