Game Of Thrones" Next Episode Has Hit The Internet! And Hackers Threaten To Leak Even More!

This hack is going to be bad for business… In case you hadn't heard, HBO was recently the victim of the biggest hack in Hollywood history. So far the big hack has resulted in the leaking of a Game of Thrones future episode script and full unaired episodes of Ballers and Room 104. Related: Bachelor In Paradise WILL Show Footage Of Corinne Olympios & DeMario Jackson! Now someone claiming to be the hackers -- and going by the alias Mr. Smith -- has threatened the release of far more, writing to news outlets: "Yes, we hacked HBO and 1.5 TB of sensitive data and films is in our hands! We release the leak gradually every week (Sunday 12 GMT). HBO is Falling……." Scary stuff for HBO, its employees, even possibly its subscribers. But in a strange turn of events on Friday, someone beat the hackers to it! Episode four, The Spoils Of War, has appeared online but strangely not from the hackers; it was leaked by an Indian distribution partner called Star India. HBO's security was able to identify the source of the leak immediately by the watermark on the video. Related: Man Kills Wife On Cruise For Laughing At Him A Star India spokesperson confirmed to The Verge that the episode came from them, saying: "This confirms the compromise of episode 4 of Game of Thrones Season 7, earlier this afternoon. We take this breach very seriously and have immediately initiated forensic investigations at our and the technology partner's end to swiftly determine the cause. This is a grave issue and we are taking appropriate legal remedial action." Just a classic, old-fashioned leak. More GoT may get out, but it also seems possible at this point that the hackers don't have access to full episodes. Wouldn't they have proven it by now? The scary question is, if not Thrones, what else could they be planning on releasing?? Guess we'll all find out on Sunday morning. [Image via HBO.].....»»

Game Of Thrones In Trouble!? Hackers Threaten To Leak Future Episodes Of HBO Properties After Major Cyber Attack!

According to EW, the premium cable network has suffered a major cyber attack, with hackers posting upcoming episodes of a couple series and at least one script or treatment online. Related: Game Of Thrones Kills Off MORE Fan Favorites! In even graver news (depending on where your morality lies), the hackers who breached the company's systems are threatening to leak again! HBO is investigating the incident and working with agencies to protect its data, confirming in a statement: "HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information. We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms. Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold." The hackers claimed to have obtained 1.5 terabytes of data from the network. This includes an upcoming episode of Ballers and Room 104, which have apparently been put online. Though the biggest attack is the leak of written material allegedly from the upcoming fourth episode of Game Of Thrones! Related: Mariah Carey's Bodyguard Facing Battery Investigation! HBO is not specifying what titles may have been stolen. On Monday, HBO chairman and CEO Richard Plepler sent an email to employees regarding the breach, writing: "As most of you have probably heard by now, there has been a cyber incident directed at the company which has resulted in some stolen proprietary information, including some of our programming. Any intrusion of this nature is obviously disruptive, unsettling, and disturbing for all of us. I can assure you that senior leadership and our extraordinary technology team, along with outside experts, are working round the clock to protect our collective interests. The efforts across multiple departments have been nothing short of herculean. It is a textbook example of quintessential HBO teamwork. The problem before us is unfortunately all too familiar in the world we now find ourselves a part of. As has been the case with any challenge we have ever faced, I have absolutely no doubt that we will navigate our way through this successfully." The hack was sent in an anonymous, jovial email to reporters on Sunday, reading: "Hi to all mankind. The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. What's its name? Oh I forget to tell. Its HBO and Game of Thrones……!!!!!! You are lucky to be the first pioneers to witness and download the leak. Enjoy it & spread the words. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. HBO is falling." XOXO, Euron Greyjoy? As of now, no GoT episodes have leaked. So, it's not clear whether the hackers actually have the HBO flagship property in their clutches. Hopefully execs find the Dragonglass equivalent of whatever destroys hackers. Fresh air, maybe? [Image via HBO.].....»»

HBO Hack Reportedly SEVEN TIMES BIGGER Than The Sony Debacle! It Could Even Mean Trouble For Subscribers!

It's not TV. It's a disaster. When we first heard about the HBO hack, allegedly perpetrated by someone going by the name little.finger66, it seemed to be all about Game Of Thrones leaks. When we first heard about the HBO hack, allegedly perpetrated by someone going by the name little.finger66, it seemed to be all about Game Of Thrones leaks. A script for next Sunday's episode dropped online, with the promise of more to come. Then full unaired episodes of Ballers and Room 104. Now it seems much more could be at stake. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hack could expose 1.5 terabytes of the network's data. That's 1500 gigs. That could mean a few dozen high definition TV episodes; but it could also mean something like 50 MILLION emails. Related: Must-Read Leaked Emails Of Fyre Festival Organizers Debating The Toilet Situation! To put it in context, the Sony hack, which released all kinds of embarrassing behind-the-scenes conversations, as well as ruining potential future movie plans, was only about 200 gigs. CEO Richard Plepler's internal email to staff called what was stolen was "proprietary information, including some of our programming." So far, that seems to mean just HBO scripts, episodes, etc. Certainly to fill 1.5 terabytes, there would have to be a considerable amount of video. But with that size leak, the bigger fear is financial documents or personal information on employees -- or even subscribers! Let's just be glad HBO is fully cooperating with the FBI on this one!.....»»

HBO Hackers Leak MORE Game Of Thrones Scripts — And The Cast"s Private Phone Numbers!

HBO may have to pay its debts to the enemy after all. The fleet of hackers behind recent leaks of show treatments, scripts, and upcoming episodes hit the premium cable network with another attack on Monday -- and this leak holds the most sensitive stolen data yet. The latest cache of compromised documents includes a Game Of Thrones script from an upcoming episode, a month's worth of emails from an HBO executive, and even the cast's emails and phone numbers! One document allegedly includes HBO CEO Richard Plepler's contact list, along with a GoT cast list with contact information for actors including Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, and Peter Dinklage. Related: Game Of Thrones Gives A Stark Family Reunion In Spoils Of War! That's right -- thanks to the hackers, you can dial up Kit Harington and tell Jon Snow himself to bend the knee! According to the Guardian, Monday's leak came with a ransom note asking for a multimillion dollar payout in bitcoins. The hackers reportedly included a video message to Plepler asking for "our six-month salary in bitcoin" -- which is apparently how long it took to hack HBO's system. The crooks cheekily wrote: "HBO spends 12 million for Market Research and five million for GOT7 advertisements. So consider us another budget for your advertisements!" LOL -- we mean... sad! An HBO spokesperson addressed the newest leaks to THR, saying the network's resident Three Eyed Raven predicted this latest hit -- but doesn't foresee a total email meltdown a la Sony. The statement reads: "HBO believed that further leaks might emerge from this cyber incident when we confirmed it last week. As we said, the forensic review is ongoing. While it has been reported that a number of emails have been made public, the review to date has not given us a reason to believe that our e-mail system as a whole has been compromised." Good to know HBO is keeping its borders strong. So... does that mean we can prank call Cersei? [Image via HBO.].....»»

HBO Hackers Leak New Episodes Of Curb Your Enthusiasm & More — But The Network Refuses To Back Down!

The HBO hackers have changed targets. After leaking Game of Thrones scripts, executive emails, and cast phone numbers, the hackers known as "Mr. Smith" hit the premium cable network with another leak on Sunday. After leaking Game of Thrones scripts, executive emails, and cast phone numbers, the hackers known as "Mr. Smith" hit the premium cable network with another leak on Sunday. This time, it was the highly-anticipated return of Curb Your Enthusiasm, set to be released in October, that took the hit! Several yet-to-be-aired episodes of Larry David's comedy, along with new episodes of Insecure and Ballers were leaked in attempt to further the hackers' ransom demands of about $6 - 7.5 million. Related: Our Fave Bastard Is BACK On Game of Thrones! Other shows caught in the leak were new series The Deuce starring James Franco, set to premiere in September, and Bill Hader's upcoming comedy Barry, scheduled for a January 2018 debut. This is just the latest attempt for the hackers to get their "6-month salary in bitcoin," but HBO doesn't seem to be budging. The network said in a statement: "We are not in communication with the hacker and we're not going to comment every time a new piece of information is released. It has been widely reported that there was a cyber incident at HBO. The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That's a game we're not going to participate in. Obviously, no company wants their proprietary information stolen and released on the internet. Transparency with our employees, partners, and the creative talent that works with us has been our focus throughout this incident and will remain our focus as we move forward. This incident has not deterred us from ensuring HBO continues to do what we do best." The previous dumps included a ransom letter from the hackers saying it took them six months to get into HBO's system and that the network was its 17th target. Despite the latest episode of Thrones leaking a few days earlier, the hack didn't affect ratings for the fantasy series. 10 million viewers tuned in for last Sunday's episode -- but not every show has the same fan loyalty. Right now, we're guessing HBO is playing the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song on repeat. [Image via HBO.].....»»

On Wednesday night, more hackers attacked HBO by taking over several network Twitter accounts, including the Game of Thrones account. Related: HBO Spain Accidentally Airs New Game Of Thrones Episode! The hackers identified themselves as OurMine, a security hacker collective known for breaching high profile internet accounts to advertize their services. It seems like their latest hit on the channel's accounts were just that. They cheekily wrote: OurMine later posted from the official Thrones account and other HBO-related accounts, encouraging users to "make #HBOHacked trending!" The collective has previously infiltrated the Twitter accounts of Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, and Mark Zuckerberg. However, OurMine doesn't appear to be the group behind the recent string of leaks HBO has suffered. This collective is reportedly unrelated from the group that recently demanded a ransom from the network to avoid the leak of more shows. HBO seemed confident in its response to the leaks, but it's looking more and more like the channel seriously needs to fortify its network. [Image via HBO.].....»»
